I LOVED COMING HERE! I came after reading a bunch of awesome reviews and decided to make an appointment when I had free time very last minute. After having one bad experience with a salon doing my acrylics, I was skeptical I'd have another. Last place I went to, I got yelled at for wanting to do stilettos instead of squares because 'they'd make me look much older than I am.' Only 16. I'm fine with looking older especially when I'm cooped up inside most of the time with my arthritis. I came in, and was seated right away and within 10 minutes, the very nice man (who I mistakingly didn't ask the name of) was started. He spent a good amount of time to make sure he got the exact shape I wanted and he got it spot on to the picture I brought in. And unlike the last place I went to, I came out and did not have a single cut. I am very happy with the job he did because after I took them off, I don't have an indentation where the nail ended and I'm living with multiple strong layers of nails left instead of just one. The remodeled salon looks great! I went in for a pedicure and was greeted right away. After I was seated, I was asked if I wanted anything to drink (they have wine!) but I opted for water since it was a Tuesday night. Bobby did my pedicure, it came out awesome. He gave the best leg and foot massage I've ever had during a pedicure. I will definitely be back for future pedicures. And by previous reviews I should try his hand massages too! read more

First time here, always go to Diamond but this time since I live down the street, it was convenient. I did the SNS mani and paid $40 plus $6 tip. I wondered why I even tipped, she did the most basic thing in manicure and I didn't get any type of massage or hot towel. I had to ask if they offer any drinks to even get a coke. My daughter has lived in Austin for 10 years now. She has tried to find a GREAT nail salon that does a great job on nails, FANTASTIC pedicures and can take care of her eyebrow waxing as well. I moved here from Arizona about 3 months ago and, after getting settled, decided I would take this under my "wing" as an incredibly important "to do". (Which, for me was very difficult since I had the PERFECT salon in AZ!) We tried a place that a friend of hers recommended ... and keep in mind ... she's tried MANY over the past decade but was NEVER satisfied and either waited until she came to visit me in AZ ... or she was in Dallas and could go to her "old" place. (NOT convenient but better than a "bad nail / pedicure / eyebrow wax that she had gotten previously!) Well ... LOOK NO FURTHER! This salon is clean, although minimal in décor ... tasteful and "uncluttered". The pedicures we got were nothing short of AMAZING!!!!! We got the Relaxation Pedicure and it was the absolute best pedicure I have EVER gotten! INCLUDING those I've gotten at the high end spas like the Ritz or the Four Seasons! I kid you NOT! We got our nails done as well ... and they were AMAZING! The nail technicians worked on our nails while we got or Pedicures ... which was GREAT since we didn't have to tie up 2.5 hours of our day! (I'm not sure if that's "typical" or merely because we timed it GREAT ... but it was awesome for us!) The sweet girl that did our brow waxing was meticulous and really took her time to ensure they were shaped perfectly! So, in short ... if you live, work or get to South Austin ... you owe it to yourself to check out this place! What attracted me here was their creativity. For the most part I like my nails simple but once in awhile I like to do something funky. I came in wanting stiletto nails but I wanted them more natural looking so not too long in length. He was very informative on how the shape was suppose to be and that stiletto nails need to be worn longer. I had a full set on to begin with and wanted a whole new set but he suggested that I should do a refill instead which was cheaper! He took my full set off, did a clear powder overlay, and painted shellac over it. Even with the miscommunication in between... I LOVE MY NAILS! He got the point that I wanted it to be natural but also gave me his expertise in what was the best thing for my nails even if it wasn't what I wanted. I expected fake tips and colored powder since that is what I'm used to at my other nail salon. Unfortunately, if you like acrylics they don't have many color powders to choose from. They have basic pink and white and then some flashy neons. Though they have tons of shellac colors! I also did a regular pedicure. It included hot towels, lotion, and a heavenly leg message. Probably one of the best leg messages I've had in awhile! Cody was a joy to talk to as well! Their color selection was a little bit blah for me but at least they carry OPI! I've never been to a nail salon with more men manicurists than women before. Haha. It's not a big deal since they all did such a great job! Overall my nails were $40 and my pedicure was $25. After having my last mediocre mani/pedi I gave this place a try. Up there with marrying my husband, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The service was amazing. The people were amazing. The chairs were amazing. I have never had such a fantastic experience. They open the sanitized packets in front of you, so you know it's super sterile. The colors to choose from are great. The people working on you are so kind & care about what your nails look like after. There were a few people waiting, but they weren't hurrying through my pedicure to see other people faster. I asked who the boss was & the boss answered & said "you're the boss, Lindsey" & pointed to the ladies around me & said "they are the bosses, we couldn't do this without y'all." *le sigh* so sweet. I was really excited about this place. Left disappointed. I haven't had a brow waxing in years. Went in just for a clean up. Left minus one arch, completely uneven. The other side wasn't even a straight line. I also got SNS NAILS, which looked great for the first couple of days. They didn't take off all of my cuticles so they lifted off as soon as my nails grew just a little. I feel it was just rushed with shortcuts. I wanted to treat my sister to a mani & pedi after the birth of her first child. We chose this salon because it is very close to her house and had great reviews. Although the employees here were very nice and the pedicures were fine, the polish jobs on both of our manicures are awful (see photos). The edges of the nails are very messy, and there are some spots that aren't fully covered or where the polish is uneven. Both of us asked for spot-fixes while we were there, but they just put another layer of polish over the whole nail instead of actually fixing the problem. I suspect that they also up-charged us for something, because the total came to much more than expected, but no itemized receipt was provided. They were great! I stupidly waited until the last minute to book nails for my wedding and was ecstatic that they fit me in the same day I called. The salon is clean, bright and comfortable. The massage pedi chairs are new and work well. The employees are genuinely friendly, and seem to enjoy striking up conversation, even though English is not their first language. (No judgment, I'm just glad they aren't talking to each other in another language or even worse, just sitting there in awkward silence.) They also did a great job! Exactly what I asked for without trying to up-sell. I even got a free glass of wine and a Rice Krispie treat! (don't judge me!) The only drawback for me is they are a little far from my SoCo home, but totally worth the trip! read more

I had a unique experience at D'Zire. While I loved the atmosphere and customer service (they were overly accommodating), I ended up with a bacterial infection in my toe after the visit. I went in on Monday night, and my pedicurist was a bit rough and cut my toe (quite badly) right along the cuticle. I told him that it hurt and then it immediately began to bleed. He didn't do anything about it- not even applying a little bit of alcohol. He continued with the pedicure and I had to do first aid when I got home (alcohol, antibiotic cream), but by the next morning by toe was swollen, red, and tender. I had to go to a doctor and get on an antibiotic. I do believe I'm half to blame as I should have asked him to stop as soon as I realized he had created an open wound. Lesson learned! So while I loved my pedicure, the additional $40 I had to spend on a doctor and antibiotics just wasn't worth it! I want to say though, I do not think it was because their salon was unsanitary, just that the pedicurist created an open wound by being a little hurried and rough with my feet. read more

I have been living down south for a year and have been jumping from salon to salon to find the best salon that provides everything I look for: Quality nail service, Calm environment, and great customer service. I decided to try D'Zire Nails because it got great reviews on Yelp. I can see why. I went on a Friday morning right when they opened. I got Shellac toes and nails. Best service ever!!! Cody did my pedicure and Tina did my nails. They both knew what they were doing and were good at it.. The massage was amazing. But I really rated this store five stars because of the quality. They take their time and are very detailed oriented. I love how the owner came around to check on all the customers and gave pointers to the manicurist/pedicurist making my experience top notch. Tina is really good with designs and couldnt have asked for a better person. The nail polish I chose was a little tough to work on, but they were able to make my nails look great. The store is a nice size, so you dont feel cramped. It is also clean! I definitely have found my store to stick to for South Austin. read more

Super friendly...like people that I would actually hang out with!!! Very clean...single use pedicure tools and very clean interior!!! Awesome creativity...they know all styles from square to stiletto and are great with 3-d acrylic, nail art, and rhinestones!! I'm officially on the D'Zire bandwagon. I came in based on the high yelp reviews (being brand new to Austin) and it was worth the drive south. Plenty of parking right outside the salon. I came in right when they opened and was the first customer through the door. The salon was clean, sterile and well lit. HUGE selection of colors. Jack got me situated with my techs and went out of his way to be accommodating (did I like the water temp, did I want it warmer, did I want a beverage, etc) and the techs got right to work. I got a basic pedicure and a shellack manicure. Both techs did everything in a timely manor, I felt relaxed sitting back and letting them do their work and the other techs came by and joked around with me while they set up for the day. I was in and out in an hour and paid $55 for a mani/pedi day and it was top notch! I will be back. read more

I"ve been to at least 8 different nail salons in Austin and have yet to find one I want to call home. This one comes damn close. The prices are great and the nail art is fantastic. I wanted a cherry blossom branch on my big toes and they didn't flinch. It's beautiful. I'd post a pic but my feet are uglay. My daughter wanted an eye on hers, yes an eye. She's a teenager, she does weird things. They didn't flinch on that either. I think I've found THE place to go when I want someone to play with my feet. read more

I was a walk in over the weekend and was pleased at how quickly I was helped but the positive aspects of my visit end there. 1) There were only a limited amount of nail colors that weren't old and dried up. 2) During both my manicure and pedicure I was cut multiple times while they worked on my cuticles. 3) I requested matching nail art for the mani/pedi and not only did none of the designs match, they resembled something a small child could have done. Given that there's always an extra charge for nail art (understandably - more work, more money) that was disappointing. 4) My nails were all cut unevenly, specifically my big toes were cut too deep so I'll likely develop ingrown nails as they grow out. 5) After my mani/pedi I requested an eyebrow wax (still wanting to give them a chance to redeem themselves). The woman who did the wax spent less then a minute on them, she did the bare minimum - no cutting the lengthier hairs/tweezing at all. When I left I noticed they were uneven and had to fix them myself. I won't be returning. read more

I had a mani pedi done a week ago at a different salon (my regular salon) I left for 5 days on vacation and my shellac mani had already started peeling and my pedi was in bad shape. So I came in to D'Zire to have a fresh shellac mani and a pedi. She was able to remove and clean up my cuticles way more than should have been after just 1 week post mani. Removing my shellac was painless, no scrubbing or peeling. And I had French done for my hands and feet, both or done perfectly!! Oh YELP, you failed me(just this once!) I called ahead to ask if they could do a combo service(mani/pedi at the same time). I was on my lunch break and didn't have a ton of time. They said of course, no problem! (score!) I arrived, picked a toe color and sat in a chair. The guy started on my pedicure but no one was around for the mani. I thought I would give it a few minutes. Fast forward ten minutes, the guy is starting to paint my toes(fastest pedicure ever by the way- more on that in a bit) As he started painting my toes, I kindly asked him if they were able to start on my mani. A lady came over and begun to put the foil on my nails(to take off the gel). She did that and walked away. She came back about ten minutes later and since I was done with my pedi, she moved me to her table. Now this is where the SLOWEST manicure ever begun. Now, I'm all for being precise and i figured if it was taking that long, it would be. Well, unfortunately it was not. About 45 minutes later, after the mani began, I was ready to leave/pay. $55 later, I walked out irritated at myself for paying that much for what I just received. Fastest pedicure ever. He took a quick swipe of the pumus stone to my feet(not kidding!) and my polish on my toes started peeling the next day! :/ The gel polish on my fingers is also see through on certain nails. (she did two coats. I don't know if that's common at D'Zire, but the other salons I've been to usually do at least three) I was really looking forward to trying this place out based on other reviews, and maybe I just got them on a off day, but I don't think I'll be returning. I will say the guy doing my pedicure was very friendly but my manicurist, geez.. I couldn't get her to smile or even talk after trying to make small talk. I really do always try and be as kind as possible when I'm receiving a service like a mani/ped, so I didn't say anything while I was there. Probably won't be coming back here. I asked for a deluxe pedicure (40$) with gel (15$) and was up charged an extra 10$ for wax that I didn't ask for and thought was included in the deluxe pedicure. So what I thought it was going to be a 55$ pedicure turned into 75$.... still not sure how it got to a 75$ pedicure. So long story short, watch out for them over charging you. read more

After my usual nail girl has been very ill, I was sent to this place by a friend. It's nowhere close to me but I had high hopes it would be fantastic. My daughter and I went. I needed a fill and I always do art on my nails. After being there from 4:45 to almost 7 I was more than a little disappointed. I always do acrylic with gel art for longevity. I had my nails done yesterday and already my gel has bubbles, the color is see through in spots from an uneven application, and the staff was less than friendly. All this and it was $150 total for my deluxe pedicure and my fill, for red tips, aka super simple nails in terms of what I usually have done that usually costs me less than half what this cost for a crappy job. My toes looked great until this morning when I put on my house shoes and it smudged my polish from the night before?!?!? So much for cute toes with my dress for Friday. I mean toss out old thick polish y'all, sheesh..... Anyhow, my visit to d'zire left much to be desired in the end :/ I'll also post some photos of my crappy nails to go with this review. read more

I came here for a soak off and manicure. Big mistake. They are not as sanitary as they should be. The nail technician pulled out drill heads from a used altoids tin. During the soak off she dropped a used drill head in the bowl which my hands were still in. I went to this place for the second time and I was sorely disappointed. My first experience was alright--polite people who seduced me with free wine but just not a great polishing job. That happens sometimes, so I was forgiving and came back. This time a made an appointment for two pedicures. It started off badly. One of the massage chairs did not work. They fixed it and we moved on. No one offered us anything to drink despite others in the salon sipping on beverages they obviously did not bring there. Then they failed to polish my mom's toes to her satisfaction and when she asked about it, her technician got frustrated. Thankfully, Jack came over and smoothed things out and even rubbed the rough spots on my feet that were missed. Just ok. After close look, two of my nails were botched. $35 for French tip gel manicure. I was in a hurry and asked that they not give me a hand massage or wax dip to try to cut down on the time but I was surprised when they charged me full price anyways. Friendly people; was able to walk in with no wait; but apparently this is the place ppl go to for weddings. There were a LOT of bridal parties there and the place was booked all day. The bridal consultant for a wedding had referred me to this place, Tina's, Le Nails, and LK Nails (all in Dripping Spings or close to there). I chose this place bc the others had bad yelp reviews but this place did not live up to the reviews on yelp in my opinion. Was disappointed. But friendly staff. This was my absolute favorite nail salon. I have lived in eight states in the last 20 years and been to many different ones. It just changed ownership and due to the new owners not retaining the excellent employees there I will no longer be going. I have been going to this nail salon every two or three weeks for the last 14 months. I called last week to make an appointment with a particular person and I was not informed that she is no longer there. So I canceled and didn't go. The right thing to do would've been to call me and give me the choice of having someone new. The new owners should be going out of their way to make current customers feel comfortable with the transition and the employees happy so they don't lose them I just looked in to see with my own eyes and not one single customer was in there. On a Friday morning that is unheard of. I would have had to make an appointment several days in advance to make sure I can actually get in on a Friday. It is such a shame. Jack and Mina were really great. I'm so sad to see them and all of their great employees gone. Unhappy employees mean unhappy customers. I will find out where they've gone and follow them there. The new owners had a chance to maintain a wonderful thriving business. I'm not sure how they're going to figure this one out. read more
