The Treatment Plan/Estimate showed many discounts, but I got skeptical about all the "IF"s, contingencies, and additions, even before new implants, so I went to another, , surgeon, who did my bone graft and sinus elevation 2 days later, and his out-of-Network plan/estimate was lower than Dr. Katsnelson's in-Network Estimate/Plan. Also, this office took a $3,000 deposit, which other dentists usually did not do before completing the treatment. I attached my Treatment Plan/estimate from Dr. Katsnelson for your judgement. This was not a simple procedure. The crown and abutment were extremely difficult to remove, and there was uncertainty about what would be found underneath. Dr. Kakos was willing to take on a challenge that many others would not, working carefully and persistently to help preserve my existing implant rather than moving straight to removal. Frustrated of Unexpected Billing Charges. But each time our family would undergo for a procedure, we get surprised of the bill and always being told it's our previous balance from the last procedure. This facility needs to be transparent to their patient especially on billing charges that was not informed before the procedure. We feel that we are being trapped on the situation. My daughter suffers from extreme anxiety and was freaking out at the thought of having this procedure. Dr. Ads could not have been nicer. He was patient and completely explained thw procedure. My daughter was good up until the day of the extractions. All that anxiety came flowing back. Dr. Ads' assistant was wonderful. She calmed my daughters nerves. Everything went great. Even had an issue with food getting caught and the office was closed. After a call to the out of office phone number, Dr Ads was able to make arrangements to come in and clean it out. When I was told I had to go to an oral surgeon for issues with my 19 year old implant, I figured I'd go to Oramax being that my past experience was good. My appointment was 10/2/25 with Dr. Ads. I had an xray done and the Dr said I needed to have the implant replaced but being that he could tell how shocked and stressed I was about the situation, he recommended meeting with another Dr about possible laser treatment for the issue first. As I was leaving, I asked him if I could still get a quote/estimate for replacing the implant. On Monday 10/6, I called the office to ask if I could have the panoramic x-ray sent to me. Being that this is a big procedure, I just wanted to get a second opinion. I was told that I didn't have a panoramic x-ray, that it was a CT scan. I told her whatever it was that I had last Friday, can I get a copy of that. She said it would have to be put on a disc and picked up after 24 hours. I also told her I was waiting for an estimate and she said I should have that within a few days. On Thursday 10/9 I called to see if the disc was ready for pick up. The women didn't know what I was talking about. She looked at my file and said I had a panoramic x-ray and said it could just be emailed over (OMG, that's what I said the first time and I was told I was wrong). She did email that over. I then told her I was still waiting for an estimate since last week. She connected me to someone in the billing department. The women told me I would need an implant removal, bone graphing and implant replacement. She assured me that she would get me an estimate Friday (the following day, 10/10) morning. On Wednesday 10/15, being that I still had not heard from anyone, I called to leave a message for the dr. The receptionist asked what I was leaving a message regarding and I said I had questions about the implant. She wanted to know what the exact questions were. I told her I wanted to know the urgency to do the procedure and listed off a few more questions. She said fine and that she'd have the Dr call me. It is now Monday 10/20/25 and I have no received a quote OR a call from the Dr!! Very disappointing!!!!! I have read negative comments about the office staff many times but figured since the Dr is the one that does the work and he's always highly recommended, I'd continue to struggle through the difficulty with the staff. There's always a chance they didn't relay the message to him but at this point I'm pretty much done. I'd rather not spend thousands of dollars at a place where I feel disrespected.

Secondly, they had a very comfortable waiting room with various snacks and lightning fast Wifi. This is where the good stuff abruptly ended. When I was called to come in we were led, instead of to an examining room, to an office. The office employee then told me and my wife that before they could see me they wanted an immediate payment of $398 for 3-d x-rays. I then told this person since I have insurance that the usual procedure would be for the office to provide the service, submit the claim to my insurance company and then bill me for the balance. She said she would immediately talk to her insurance coordinator and left the room. She came back 10 minutes later and told us that we would have to pay $197 immediately and bill the insurance the balance. I reiterated that all dental offices we have dealt with did the service first, billed the insurance, and there would be an EOB for us to remit the rest. She insisted on this prepayment, we informed her that this is not the way we do business, and walked out of the office, That is why this office went from 5 stars to 1 star in less than a half hour.
