I did see him two years prior for my wisdom teeth extractions, so I was so anxious about this particular appointment at first, but he put me at ease during my visit. He told me that he thought I didn't necessarily have it, since it doesn't really occur in people my age, thinking it's probably just a bit of reflux, and he said there's this little patch on there to where the tonsils were removed (this was 15 years ago). Having said that I have been coming to Dr. Kim for the past 4 years and have received terrific service. He likes to tell corny jokes, but his humor takes the edge off the visit and helps you relax. Whenever I come in for a cleaning, he and the periodontist do a great job. That takes skin from the roof of the mouth and re-attaches it to the bottom gums. We got a referral for a practice in Lincoln Park but my daughter did not feel comfortable with them, so I did some research and found Dr. Reznikov's practice to have good reviews. At our 1st appointment I explained how apprehensive she was about such a delicate, yet highly painful procedure. Dr. Reznikov took his time in examining her, taking impressions, and then consulting with us afterwards. We scheduled the outpatient surgery, and it went just how he described. Over the next two months we had follow-up appointments to make sure all was well and she's now ready for her Invisalign. We couldn't be happier.

I visited for an extraction and Dr. Figueroa and his team were so attentive and patient. They took the time to explain exactly what would happen, the risks, and answer all of my questions. I felt well cared for and comfortable. I expressed my dental anxiety to Dr. Figueroa and he was compassionate and offered assistance by way of laughing gas for my extraction. The extraction couldn't have gone better. Dr. Figueroa talked his was through the procedure, which was helpful. They have a cozy little recovery room for post-op and then you're on your way. I was told they couldn't bill my insurance because they were out of network and that the visit wouldn't be covered. Based on what happened afterward, that information appears to have been incorrect. They did bill my insurance, and when I later received my Explanation of Benefits (EOB), my actual patient responsibility was significantly lower than what I had been charged on the day of the appointment. I found this experience extremely frustrating and concerning. Being given inaccurate information about insurance coverage and being charged more upfront than what I ultimately owed left me feeling misled. I plan to pursue this matter further with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office because I believe these billing practices should be reviewed. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly encourage others to do their research and proceed with caution before seeking care here. I expected much better communication, transparency, and professionalism.

I received extensive information and great follow up. Dr Nick is personable and very professional. His assistants are also very professional. Friendly this office was and is not in trying to get either of the above to occur. So, similar to "Jay B's" utterly genuine July 4 Yelp review (okay, right, "interesting" in a Tilly-Norwood-is-too sort of way), for ages, this practice made me feel like I had to live for years with pain and fear, never believing I could eat Barnaby's excellent tavern style pizza again...without making a huge mess.
