Da Eraldo was spectacular. After traveling Europe for 7 weeks, it's safe to say this place has the best service! Our waiter was super friendly and constantly checked to see if we needed anything. Firstly, the bread here is out of this world. It is baked fresh and served super hot. You will want more and more of it. I ordered the seafood pasta which was also amazing. After calling earlier in the day to find out that they were fully booked for the weekend, we stumbled past Da Eraldo to see a few open tables. Within a few minutes, the super friendly staff welcomed us in. To begin with, the house wines were delicious, especially when served up by our enthusiastic waiter. The aesthetic feels like a nice Italian kitchen right in the heart of the town where you could watch the chef make the pasta as you ate. Then, our meals came out. We tried the pesto lasagna, four cheese pasta, bolognese, sorrentina, and spaghetti. All of the pasta was homemade and delicious. The leftover sauce was put to good use with their homemade bread that looked like an English Muffin with a hard exterior and soft interior. After raving about the bread, they made us a fresh bag to take home. The dessert, also homemade, was yummy. The tiramisu and chocolate souflee were both pretty perfect. With wine, water, five dishes, and two desserts, the €65 bill was perfectly reasonable for the great meal. Highly recommend! read more

This was some of the best pasta we have had in all of Italy! The restaurant is a very cute little place on the street. The restaurant staff consisted of one waitress and the cook (who also seemed to be the owner). The chef was incredible, putting obvious love and passion into her cooking. The pasta (pomodoro and mozzarella on thick, homemade noodles) was incredible. In addition, make sure to ask for some bread - it was to die for! They have fresh, homemade tigella, a regional bread. The chef even brought out some fresh mozzarella to go with the bread, no extra cost! Overall, one of the best meals we have had, and not too expensive. If you are anywhere in the Cinque Terre area, I definitely recommend that you visit Monterosso for lunch or dinner at this place! read more

Amazing spot in Monterossa. Tucked out of the way so a little hard to find. They take reservations but the best way is to show up right before they open because they leave half the restaurant for walk-ins. Food was so good and presentation is amazing. You won't be disappointed. read more

Although since it is a small place, don't expect to be seated right away. Also, they seem to be a bit understaffed so if you are in a hurry to get the bill, best bet is to go inside and pay. This restaurant was way overrated. We just returned from dinner and I have to say I am disappointed. The service was really bad. We waited for 45 minutes before being served even a glass of water. The food was at best average. I had the pesto lasagna and my wife had swordfish. There was nothing remarkable about either dish. There are many options for restaurants to chose from in Monterosso, but this one seemed like a winner a first glance-it was small, charming, packed, interesting menu choices, and well priced. A friend traveled to Italy about 6 months before we did and recommended trying the pesto lasagna. He didn't let us down, it was creamy and delicious. I had a lovely dinner here and highly recommend it. The service was outstanding and the food was great. I started with an appetizer of tomatoes with fresh pesto, shaved parmesan, and arugula around the sides. I drizzled a bit of oil and balsamic over it and it was excellent. I followed with a first course portion of the pasta amatriciana. The pasta was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The red sauce was light and flavorful with a mild kick to it. The bacon blended perfectly with the other flavors for a truly perfect dish. They also had a great list of wines from which to choose. I will definitely go back. read more

Visited on 26 March 2017, seating was quick and luckily inside as we watched a freak rainstorm pass through. Very cozy and fantastic service. We ordered the Antipasto (which they halved for us! It is huge otherwise). For mains, we had the catch of the day and the vegetable soup-both were awesome. Desert was the regional desert wine with Biscotti (dip them like a local) and Tiramisu. The visit was worth it just to sit outside and watch the town settle in for the night. Fresh local food that starts with an interesting bread that is part bread part biscuit.
