Everything was amazing, including vibe, but the fricasse plate was our absolute favorite, the chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. We took the food to go and had the most perfect picnic at our wedding. The only regret is that we didn't order more, because four people finished everything in just a few minutes. The dressing that comes for the salad is also really tasty to pour not only on the salad but the rice. We tried some of the food trucks in this location and this was the favorite by far. Ordered the feijoada plate and let me just tell you. WOW! So much flavor that I have never experienced. From the rice the beans the farofa. All of it was just surprisingly so yummy. I will say the feijoada was a little on the fatty side. I still have no regrets, this is one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything we ate here (and we ate here often during our trip) was delicious AND gluten free! Kazuki says this is one of the best meals he has ever eaten. The food was delicious! I ended up eating here twice during my stay. There's so much to choose from so if you're anything like me and want to try a little of everything, I recommend going with the combo. It comes with your choice of protein, the fricasse, rice, beans, one pao de queijo and a salad. Say yes to the hot sauce it's flavorful and has a nice kick to it. It comes in a small container on the side. The shrimp was one of my favorite bites. I still think about it. The creamed corn brought me back to childhood in Haïti. It reminded me of a dish I grew up eating called soufflé de maïs. The pineapple mint juice is an absolute must. It is so refreshing and not too sweet. The pao de queijo is best hot. I also tried the moqueca (not pictured). It was okay but didn't stand out like the other dishes I tried. The team was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in Hanalei. Probably the best meal I had the entire time I was on Kauai. The mocueqa was FIRE the flavors were balanced, light and fresh and the ono was soooooooo ono. Freshest ono I've had in a while, perfectly cooked rice and clean fresh salad on the side! I mixed in the yucca flour with all the rice and smashed the whole plate. Was bomb definitely coming back whenever I come Kauai next. I've never had Brazilian food before this and am stoked I tried it! i'm giving this review with having very little experience with brazilian food-- mostly just judging based on flavors. Food was seriously lack salt/sodium. it's funny because i was thinking that with my food and then my husband goes "mine needs more salt" which i completely agreed. either that or more seasoning. the other reason i'm only giving it 3 stars is because the fish in my fish stew was quite dry, which was unfortunate. friendly staff. slow to get food but it was very busy on a sarueday at 1:00. sadly, a lot of the other food trucks in thr area were closed for lunch. overall, not a bad option but there are better around. read more

Us wailua locals was looking for a place to eat in Hanalei, and we had decided to try big nicks which was near by, but the cashier there was on her phone and super mean to an auntie who was asking for extra silverware, so we turned right round', and took a look at the food trucks near by. The guy we chatted with at this truck was SO friendly, super sweet, big-time aloha. Got the combo plate with the steak, and it was INCREDIBLE. The Yelp reviews were spot on. Da Fazenda is five stars for sure! My mom and I came here for lunch and shared a shrimp plate and the pineapple chicken. All of the components - garlic rice, beans, salad, corn - were super fresh and well-seasoned. The pineapple mint juice was also delicious! It instantly transported me to Brazil, so much so that I managed to remember what the drink is called in Portuguese (suco de abacaxi com hortelã!). Da Fazenda's food is clearly made with love. Small scoop of Farofa (Brazilian grains), small scoop of salsa, veggie side, and a choice of skewer. The veggie side can be corn, green salad, or beet salad. The skewer can be steak, bacon wrapped chicken, shrimp, or sausage. The garlic rice was the best thing. Beans are pretty good. The steak and chicken were solid. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for lunch. We were checking out all of the food trucks whenever I happened to see moqueca on the Da Fazenda menu. Now I am not a moqueca expect but ever since seeing it on a food show, my wife and I have made it multiple times and loved it. So you can imagine i was excited to try it from a Brazilian food truck, even with the Hawaiian ono spin on it. As for this food truck itself, it's parked in a pod of food trucks right off the Kuhio highway in Hanalei. Since it's a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it had their menu on the side and their story on the other side. For lunch on this day my wife and I decided to split a moqueca since we were also planning on getting Huli Huli chicken later in the day. So we placed our order and choose collards greens for our side. About 10 minutes later we had our order and sat down to eat. I first tried the collards which were cut with a chiffonade which I had never seen before with collards. It worked though and both it and the onion that was with it tasted good. After that I fish tried the ono which was cooked nicely and then tried the ono in their hot sauce. Wow, did I enjoy that stuff as it had a nice citrus flavor followed by the promised heat. I see why they had it bottled and for sale. Once we had finished with the fish we dumped the broth over the rice to enjoy and enjoy it we did. The broth had a light coconut flavor to it which the rice picked up and then we also enjoyed all of the vegetables that were in it as well. There was also some bread crumbs and a thick corn starch (think polenta) on the side which my wife and I had no clue what to do with. However we did taste both and ended up adding both to the broth and rich mixture which tasted nice. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both loved the moqueca and would be interested in trying some of their other items as well. read more
