The notice, from the company that made the carpet, said any other vacuum cleaner would make it fuzzy. I went to Plaza Carpet to speak with the owner, David, who claimed that he didn't know anything about how the carpet should be vacuumed. He acknowledged absolutely no responsibility for how it should be vacuumed, even though HE WAS THE ONE WHO SOLD THE CARPET TO ME. The receptionist, who had sent me the notice about the Sanitaire vacuum cleaner, came out to say it is only a recommendation. She said the carpet should be fine. David literally walked away from me, denying any responsibility at all. Well, I went home and looked carefully at the carpet only to realize that in fact it was already getting fuzzy from our Shark vacuum cleaner. We have always had wool carpets and we have never had this problem before. BEWARE OF PLAZA CARPET COMPANY.

His two staff floor installers were also some of the best I've seen. Prior to James I had a carpet installer at another place and the carpet ended up having rolls in it 1-2 years later. AND.. I also had a kitchen remodel where the flooring people allowed water to seep in and the floor was damaged a year later (but it was too late by then and I could not get it replaced). These are OTHER experiences I am comparing to so you understand HOW GOOD JAMES IS. To-date, the carpet on my stair well is still flawless (this is now years later). And the the luxury vinyl plank James recommended are still my favorite in both color and quality. There have been zero issues.
