The jerk chicken had that perfect char and tasted super flavourful, I just wish there was a bit more of a kick to it! Nothing a little hot sauce on the side can't fix. The oxtail was just as flavourful and juicy, again just a bit more spice would've been nice lol! I am still SO glad I decided to do half and half, will definitely get a full serving of both meats next time! I also have never tried Caribbean fried rice before and I'm glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely be hitting them up again to try the rest of the menu including their rotis as well as a jerk chicken pasta that they offer !!! I was a bit apprehensive trying them for the first time but now that they won me over I'm sure the rest of their menu is just as bomb as this meal was :) The quantity was SO amazing too like literally you can't even see the fried rice underneath because of the amount of meat lolol my kinda place for sure ;) They're located in Streetsville I believe and are available on food ordering apps such as well as pickup/takeout so what are you waiting for ?! They are apparently open till late at night, but by the time I got there at 5.45pm, they were out of most items, so the only thing I can review is their Jerk Chicken Dinner. I ordered a "large", which portion-wise, is akin to a regular for most other jerk places I've tried. In that sense, they were more expensive by a good $4-5 on average. For that reason, I score them a 3* for portion size & value-4-money. Taste-wise, I'd score them a 4*. The jerk flavour was complex, the chicken was well marinated, and the sauce wasn't overly salty - all pluses in my book. What took away points for me here was the rice & peas. The rice was bland, almost tasteless on its own. The flavour comes solely from the jerk sauce over it. The peas were the smallest peas I have come across at any jerk place - very small peas, smaller even than peanuts The macaroni side I didn't like at all. Neither did I like the so-called hot sauce, which was not at all hot. I had expected it to have some heat. Disappointing. But perhaps the most disappointing thing was the jerk chicken was Nowhere near hot, not even warm. A jerk chicken dinner should be a hot meal, and it wasn't. Will I try it again? - Yes, I will give it one more shot, at lunch time, and see if it tastes better when freshly cooked. And next time I will try the curry goat, too.

Unfortunately the etransfer went through already and they refused to give me back a full refund. I suppose the owner wanted to take advantage of the situation and make a quick buck. Instead, they offered a nearly $200 store credit and the rest would be refunded. I understand they may have started the order, but $200 worth in a time span of 15 min. is insane. I didn't fight them on it though. I had to physically come into the store to get my refund because they refused to settle the refund without my auto deposit being set up and they never returned my calls. Still have yet to get any contact back from the manager regarding my store credit. What is sad is that ive gone to this location for years, but this service was incredibly rude. Very poor customer service, so after the store credit (whenever they actually give it to me), I wont be bringing my money to this location. I have Jamaican roots, and its sad that I already knew what kind of service I was in for when I had to cancel the order. We have to do better. This is very embarrassing.

First of all, the service itself was welcoming and accommodating. Although it was one lady working in the front, she made sure everyone coming in was taken care of. I ordered the jerk chicken lunch special which came out to be less than $10! You are given the option to choose your sides either coleslaw or pasta salad. Although the serving size was quite small, the flavour was amazing. Their jerk chicken is juicy and tender and you can tell it was grilled with all that smokey flavour. That along with the oxtail gravy that was ladled on top and soaked into the rice and peas mixed with the creamy coleslaw made sweet love in my mouth. The fish itself is not as big as the usual fish and chips place. The Caesar salad was tasty and it's really great is there is this server who was so friendly and hard-working. Parking is great ambiance is a family style and relaxed. It seems to me as well that the double leg chicken was bigger this time. I really enjoyed this location in my last visit.
