They did start really well in our first few visits but the last one was a sort of disaster. We have been here a couple of times and the food, in general, has been really great. In our first visit, we tried their Vadapav, Dabeli, Indian Masala Pizza, Pav Bhaji Pizza and Hot Cocoa. All of them were really great - especially the Dabeli. Their Kawa Burger and Fries are also really good. Chana Naan was fine. With Hot Cocoa, I felt the portion is ginormous. They may as well introduce a "cutting" version of it and would still sell fine. I did tell them to have Cold Cocoa which is actually required in summers instead of hot ones. The taste is really good but a bit too much to finish. However, in my last visit, the Pav Bhaji tasted okay - was missing lime. Vada Pav was disappointing - a lot of coriander there which is what all I could taste. The staff is really good and very responsive. They have a good seating space, even for large groups. Liked the ambiance. Overall, a great place for Indian vegan food in the area - I am hoping my last experience was an outlier. read more

I happened by this place because of their Groupon deal. We went here on Sunday afternoon and I am very glad we did. Their menu is on the giant wall as you enter and everything is explained very well. This is definitely THE place to go for good vegetarian food. We had the vada pav, dahi sev puri, pain puri, and the paneer topped pizza. After some shopping, needed to eat and I Google this place because my friend is a vegetarian. This is a fast food type place, like a Indian vegetarian McDonald's. Samosa burger was good, didn't think they would put an actual samosa inside, thought it would be more of the stuffing of the samosa that would be put inside. All in all, wasn't bad at all. A friend of mine pointed out this restaurant to me and I decided to check it out after my workout. A few tips when ordering here: 1. They will have things labelled "vegan" but may include cheese or yogurt. What the V actually means is that they have a vegan option and you need to tell them that. 2. Ask the cashier for recommendations as they have a very large menu. With regards to the restaurant and food itself, the location is in an industrial plaza off Dixie road. The atmosphere is that of a casual self-serve restaurant. What I ordered: -Veggie (vegan) biryani: You get to tell them how spicy you want it which is good. I had it medium spicy and it wasn't too spicy at all, so it was not bad. The taste was good, had a good helping of vegetables and it was tasty. My only complaint is that it was a bit too greasy for my liking. -Channa Samosa Chaat - It's basically the a mini samsosa topped with chutney and curry. It had a nice tangy taste to it. Overall, the food was pretty good and I'd be willing to go back and prices are very reasonable as I paid just over $12 for a very good helping of food. read more

This place is crazy good! I told them I had a peanut allergy the chef came out and said 'is it severe?' YES!!!!!!! Its a friggin allergy!! I like how 90% of the menu can be made vegan. anything with the "V" is vegetarian but can be made vegan you have to tell them when ordering. I had the 'chicken' burger it was sooooo good. The masala fries are a must as well as the 'chicken' nuggets, they are diced up with their special sauce, ground 'beef' jalapeños, olives and vegan white cheese. The only dislike is the plastic cutlery when dining in and they put your food in aluminum containers soooo bad for the environment. I can understand when your ordering take out but it doesn't make any sense for a restaurant to do that especially a Vegan/Vegetarian one. read more

This place really is a hidden gem! We ordered their Chana Naan ($6.99), Pav Bhaji ($6.99) & Chana samosa chaat ($5.99) and everything was delicious. We asked for garlic naan (I don't remember how much it was extra, I think $1.99?) but the prices are reasonable and the food was pretty filling even though it's vegetarian. Keep in mind that when ordering vegan, you have to inform the cashier so that they will use vegan substitutes (they have a substitute for everything except yoghurt I believe). I've come here a handful of times and ordered many different things except the pizzas so far. Service is very friendly and the place is comfortable enough. The menu has lots of options and the prices are good - not too expensive for anything. I don't have much experience with spicy food although I do like Indian foods and I do ask them to make my order with mild spiciness. A couple times it still was too spicy for me to eat much of it but the food was delicious otherwise. Everything seems to be fresh. The only complaint I have is that it was too cold in the winter months inside the place, I had to keep my jacket on when I was eating. *BEWARE* The food tastes amazing and comes in very good portions but what they do is DANGEROUS. Nobody told me... nor is it written on the menu that if there is a V or an S beside a dish... then i have to ASK for it to be swami or vegan. They tell you what the letters mean but it is usually assumed if those letters are beside a dish, it is AUTOMATICALLY vegan. I am allergic to dairy and I ordered the poutine with S, J and V beside it meaning it should of been vegan.. so I ate it. Turns out I had an allergic reaction later in the night because they used DAIRY cheese not vegan cheese in the dish and the reason it wasnt vegan, was because I didnt ask for it to be...even though theres a V beside my dish on the menu!! Thats very dangerous for people who have more severe allergies to things like dairy.. or onions (the S should of meant no onion..but there was onion too). If i had to ask for vegan then dont put a V next to my dish, or specify that on the menu. This ruined the experience for me. Even dahi in Dahi Puri smells bad. would not recommend this place to anybody. my husband ordered vada pav and that was even not tasty. I even complained but it seems the owner was in no mood to listen to me and she kept on arguing with me. After that, she had literally told me to write good reviews.
