I am disappointed in this company. I had windows put in my home. The missed one small window. Said they would take care of it, but 7 months later nothing still. Also, when buying these windows, I agreed to 2 year deferred payments, but just after my windows were put in, I have thus bank already trying to get their money. Now I'm being told this bank that took my loan for the windows does not offer deferred payments. I am now accumulating late fees, etc. Very dissatisfied. read more

When they come out to do your quote expect them to talk for over 2-3+ hours trying to convince you there deal is the best but they are over charging about double the price and when you tell them your lowest GO YOUR LOWEST because there lowest is like double the price still and when you find another reputable seller they will immediately go to that price and try to get you. This company is fraudulent. I feel scammed and they have yet to finish their work. They keep losing their lead paint tests and retesting. Pressure to sign to a salesman that earns commission style. Takes way longer. They attracted me with we have wonderful program to get you low cost windows which is a lie and was actually a phishing attempt that worked unfortunately. Wasting time for overpriced windows that are not a custom size and you could buy at a home improvement store for 6,000 dollars less for 2 windows. I work in the skilled trades. High pressure and slick sales tactics. Extremely overpriced. No business is in business to break even or lose money - but this business is looking to make outrageous money off of the uninformed. None of it illegal, but consumers need to stay sharp. Be sure to read the contract closely before signing. Cancellation within the cancellation period is not made easy. Be sure to read the cancellation instructions carefully before signing. Get other bids - no matter what price they quote (they make sure to have a lot of room from the initial bid to the final quote if you negotiate - but you still end up paying twice what it would cost elsewhere). There are other reputable businesses in this space that don't employ the same tactics and have equally good products and installers. They give you the no-kidding best deal up front. Don't get drawn into the financing deal - or answer questions about your credit rating - financing is not a good deal and it doesn't make anything "more affordable". If you must finance - then talk to your own bank about that. Do your own finance shopping. Don't answer answer any questions along the line of equity in your home - that line of questioning is to get you to consider a home equity loan or refi - which if you are sitting on a low interest rate now - is a bad idea. And the equity in your home is no one else's business. Always remember, this is your money and your house. A business transaction - not a relationship. The upfront sales and sales managers are not your friends. Protect your interests. Do not hesitate to say no. read more

I would put 0 stars if I could but Yelp requires at least 1 star... I would not recommend this company to anyone.  I had a DaBella's representative ring my doorbell and inquire about an estimate for new windows.  I was curious to know what the cost might be so I agreed.  An outgoing salesman met me the next day and immediately tried to find common ground with me.  He was nice enough and I was patient, but I had to keep reminding him about the windows.  Slowly we got them and I got a presentation on the product that he offers, he included videos on an ipad and a briefcase with their different window material.  He showed me all these excellent and curated reviews online and awards the company had won.  He talked about how it is family owned and they aren't a big faceless corporation.  He gave the history and background of the company sparing no details.  After nearly 2 hours I told him I had work to do and politely asked for an estimate.  He then slow-played this some more and went over high-end options and started filling out some paperwork and continued to show me pictures of different products and samples of different types of trim etc.  Finally I got an estimate for 8 windows and one sliding door (this is just one part of my house).  The estimate was for $33,700.  I said this was much too high.  He then called his manager to see about getting a discount.  After a choreographed conversation the price dropped to $27,000.  I told him I couldn't do that and he provided a different option with a few of the premium packages removed for $21,000.  I told this was still too much and that I really had to go.  He called his manager again, had another generic conversation and brought up a marketing option of using a business sign in my driveway to reduce the price even further.  And possibly using my pictures online (of course not disclosing my address or personal information).  Now the offer was down to $18,000 for these windows, but only if I agreed to the deal right then.  At the 3 hour and thirty minute mark I asked him to leave my house.  He was dismayed and unhappy.  He told me how solid his company was and that these windows had a double lifetime warranty.  He explained how much energy they would save me and how his estimated prices could not be guaranteed after today.  He did not seem to understand that I wanted to do my own research online or consider the financial impact of this large purchase financed for 15-years!  After asking him to leave for the second time he called his manager for the third time.  He told me that without ordering the sliding door, the cost could be lowered to $10,000.  I said I would not buy the windows for any price without sleeping on it.  He finally left saying that the $10,000 price would never be available again and that this was truly an amazing price.  He was at my house for four hours and 10 minutes. I would recommend running in the opposite direction if you ever encounter anyone from this company.  They are a high pressure sales team and their tactics seem unethical.  I cannot speak to their work or product, but I could not believe the amount of time I lost for this 'estimate'. read more

Multiple others have posted almost the exact experience I had, so I'm sharing mine as well, just to reiterate how scummy this company is. They use high pressure sales tactics, and in my experience, are willing to lie directly to your face. Do your homework before working with these people - you could save yourself tens of thousands of dollars! This review is long, but I feel that the details are important to understand why you should stay away from these folks, and hopefully this will help people make a wise decision on whether or not to work with them. We asked Dabella to come to our home to give us a quote on siding (and possibly windows) on just one half of the house. They proceeded to wander around our entire home, inside and out, checking out every nook and cranny to find anything they could that was wrong. After their little tour, they unexpectedly told us that we needed an entire new roof, because whoever put our roof on "had no idea what they were doing" and did a terrible job. This was pretty shocking to us, because updating the roof was not at all on our radar, and we hadn't experienced any leaking or obvious issues related to the roof. BUT, we had recently purchased the home and did not know much about when the roof was last updated, and quite honestly are pretty naive to the ins and outs of roofing techniques, etc. so we trusted him and heard him out initially. We were kind of freaked out by this revelation that our roof was apparently about to cave in, so we listened to their advice and asked them to talk us through quotes for a new roof. They sat us down for their hilarious sales pitch, starting with why their company was so amazing and had such great values (lol), then proceeded to talk about why they're the greatest roofers in all the land. The pitch was dumb and over the top, but because I work in a sales organization, I understand that sometimes you just have to do the sales pitch even if it's corny... so I gave my full attention and entertained their shenanigans. After about an hour of the "we're the greatest company in the world" BS, they finally started talking numbers. The quote was in the range of $50-60K. My husband and I were in NO position to opt in to something like this without doing more homework and looking at our budget, so we politely told them "thanks for the quote but we can't make a decision on this today." And here's where things got fun!!! The main salesman started pushing us, saying that they had a special deal that expired today, so we had to decide today or we would lose out on a discount (I think 15-20%). Given the fact that we did not plan on buying a new roof or spending $50K, the discount was certainly enticing. We told him that was not possible, again, because we were adamant that we needed time to think through it. So then he said "let me call my manager to see what we can do for you", and at this point my red flag alerts are going off full blast. He proceeds to make a ridiculous phone call to his "manager", which was basically just a weird monologue of him talking about how we really love the product but can't make a decision today and he'd love to help us out bla bla bla. I was pretty sure no one was on the other line. While he was on the phone, since it was obvious BS, I got up and quickly looked up reviews on Dabella, and was horrified to read a review that was my EXACT experience. When he hung up with his "manager", I got pretty upset, knowing it was all just an act, and called him out for being too pushy and not respecting our need to do more homework and look at our budget. Instead of apologizing for his antics, he dug in deeper and raised his voice and got angry at me! I then told him he needed to leave, and pretty much had to kick them out of the house. They didn't leave without more of a fight though... he lingered and kept pressing for another 5-10 minutes, layering on more pushy sales tactics about why they should work with us. It was highly inappropriate. I was literally in tears because it was so stressful. Finally they left, and my husband and I immediately decided that we would never work with them, even if their quality of work was as great as they claimed it was. The next day, I had another (more local) roofing company come out to assess the roof. I did not give him any context, just told him that we had recently bought the home and wanted to have him check on the status of the roof. This guy, who by the way was a real sweetie, told me there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ROOF. So long story short: these jerks at Dabella lied and tried to swindle us into spending $50,000 we didn't have on a whole new roof we didn't need. Disgusting. One of their door to door "salespeople" came by and suckered our renter into talking with them as they 'noticed you had some peeling paint on the outside of your house'. Cut to *two hours later*, after the salesperson literally would not leave the house, even when asked to, they delivered a 'great deal' in the form of a $51,000 estimate to replace every window and all siding. Do NOT use these people. They use predatory tactics and borderline illegal behavior to try and sucker you in. Almost had to call the cops because they wouldn't leave. Sales pitch took over two hours! My appointment was scheduled for 6 or 7pm (can't remember but it was in the evening). I didn't expect them to be there past 9pm and missing dinner. I had to keep following up on when true measurements would be done. My installation had to be stopped due to no permit. At time of signing the contract I was told that installers worked for DaBella but the crew was actually subcontracted. I was told there would be an inspection but I haven't heard anything more about it. I was told they would come to check for cleanliness after installation but that hasn't happened. The wooden floor in my bedroom were scratched and still waiting to hear back on compensation. The tv in the bedroom was scratched. One screen was delivered incorrectly. I was unaware that I would have to paint the exterior trim. Painting trim on the second story windows will require me to find someone to do the work (I'm a single mom). Some windows turned out to be a few inches wider that my cellular window shade no longer fit (they are too small now). The quality seems to be good (definitely has improved the temperatures inside) but the service so far has been questionable. Many promises were made that have not been fulfilled to expectations. Josh V was extremely prompt, answered all our questions, & was very accommodating in helping us plan a remodel improvement to our bathroom that met our budget. Post install update: Installer Matt was outstanding. Post install we found a leak, he came back within 12 hours & fixed the issue. (wouldn't have been able to find the leak until shower was 1st used). Why the drop in review: Samples were sturdy, smooth. Actual material installed was thin overlayment installed over greenboard (ok, standard construction material), but was very rippled under the surface, looking akin to corrugated backing, not the smooth surface presented in the samples. Probably would've rated higher if samples were accurate to delivered product. read more

They were asked to leave a the Mobile Home Community I manage once before. They came back last week. They were going door to door. I had several residents call and complain. I went and asked them to leave that they were on private property, and there is no soliciting . Three guys proceeded to tell me that it was not and that they could be here. I once again told them to leave. He told me they were appointments that were scheduled. I then asked why are they going dood to door. I again asked them to leave the employee then started recording me using profanity and calling me an F*%$*^ Faggot. I called the police and shortly after they fled in a brown Minivan. How did I get here? We bought our house just over a year ago, just finished a major 6-month renovation of the interior in Dec 2021, and we are looking to update the exterior to match. Coincidentally a rep stopped by and helpfully made an appointment for a consultation for a quote the next day. (this is the only reason for a single star. also because you can't give zero) How did the consultation go? Terribly. Right from the beginning, Manny was condescending and dismissive. Manny did not believe that I would be the decision-maker and asked if my husband would be joining. I simply said no. Was he confused or did he completely ignore what I said? Manny asked what was going on and why we were looking to change the siding. I said from the beginning we don't have any issues and we were interested in a quote, mainly for aesthetics, to update the exterior and remove some of the original trim. I repeated three times that we were just interested in a quote and didn't need to review all the details of the company. I said I was confident the company provided quality service and materials. That did not stop him from going through all of his ipad slides. Did I get what I wanted? Finally, I did get an astronomically high quote of almost $100,000. Anyway, the nail in his coffin... Manny commented (maybe jokingly) about my husband LETTING ME take charge of this meeting. Did he really just say that to me in my home? I made the appointment. I was taking the meeting. What was his problem? How we make decisions is none of his business. My point? I will not be using Dabella's services. Despite a ridiculously high quote, we would and have paid if that meant quality workmanship, materials, and service. Before this meeting, I'd believed DaBella had a great reputation. Two representatives came out to inspect my roof, damaged from the hailstorm Tuesday. They were here for 3 hours and offered to replace my roof to the tune of over $32,000. They were extremely pushy and demanding, asking several times for a down payment. My neighbor got an estimate that was for $14,000-$18,000. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I wonder if these young men would want someone strong arming their mother or grandmother and robbing her of her life savings. Do not fall for their slick presentation or contract proposal. read more

I was able to talk him into giving me a few days to decide because I really had no other info to compare it to but after looking here and reviewing prices on cost vs value.net - this price is completely out of control. Too bad, they seemed nice but really would not let it go until I finally agreed to give a decision on Friday (this was a tuesday). I think it's extremely rude to try to push a person to decide immediately to spend thousands of dollars. DaBella Roofing out of Portland Oregon was the first roofing contractor I met with, and they came to me through the Angi referral web site. I live on the western slope of Colorado. I told them, as I later told all the other roofing companies I spoke with, that the existing roof is 22 years old and is the original roof, and therefore I only needed re-shingling, or "re-cover", which is common practice, and not a complete tear off and replacement of the original roofing. The representative, Kaeden, quoted me prices for both options. After taking measurements and selecting a shingle style, his original estimates, before he ran the numbers through the company software, were $19,000 + for re-shingling and $22,000+ for remove and replace. After Kaeden spoke to his manager and the company software ran the numbers, he told me that Colorado Code requires that the re-shingling is not allowed. HUH????? He then said that their system quoted the tear off and replacement of the entire roof at an amount of ... wait for it ... $ 4 3 , 0 1 2 .!!!!! Yeah, right. This is only about a 3 bedroom/2 bath house. I about stroked out. After a bit of back and forth, we selected different materials for the job. That brought it down, right, down ???, to $35,197. After he spoke to his manager again, the manager said we could bring it down to $31,958. Several times during the visit he said, "if we have the go ahead to do this today, the amount would be (whatever)". I had told him going into the discussions that he was the first company I was speaking to and that I was not going to make a decision today. So, I thanked him for his time and he left. I thought. A few minutes later he knocked on my door and said he'd spoken to his manager again and that if I give them the go ahead today, he will bring it down to $27,000+. I don't remember the exact figure. What I haven't mentioned yet is that I am a widowed senior citizen. Now, I may be an old broad, but I am NOT a STUPID old broad. In my opinion this company was attempting to pressure me into locking in the price that was ALL WRONG for me and trying to take advantage of my age and single female status, pressuring me to pay an outrageous amount for this work. After the representative left, I called the Community Development Dept. of the county I live in and asked to speak with someone familiar with the roofing codes. I was told that the International Residential Code Section 908 is the one that my County uses and it does, indeed, allow for re-shingling over asphalt shingle roofs. So this company's representative either outright LIED to me, pegged me as an easy mark, or they have no idea what they are doing. The very next day, I got a quote for re-shingling the existing original roof at less than $9,000! One third of the final amount DaBella negotiated down to. What a disgrace of a company!!! The sales person Jodi was a fantastic. Being a contractor for over 35-years, I know what I am doing. Funny thing was that I had just priced out the siding at Home Depot there days earlier. They first quoted me a price of $31K for a little over 800 sq ft of siding. I live in a home that was built in 1886, and now that I am retired, was not looking forward to climbing up a tall ladder to do the job. I told her that $31K was too much and was thinking it should be $18-$21K. One call, now the price was lowered to $21K. She was approved to take off 1/3 of the price! This should have been a red flag right there! Then...4 days after I signed a contract with them and wrote them a check for 50% down, her manager called me and stated that Jodi made a mistake and I needed to pay another $4500.00!?!?! I'm like....What? I have a signed contract that states you will do the job for $21K? The Manager told me that if I do the tear-off, and install the plywood myself, he could finish the job for the $21K. I wish I had read these reviews before having 4.5hrs of my Saturday wasted by these guys. We just bought a house, knew the roof needed replacing in the next 5 years so we were thrilled to hear they would come and do a free estimate. Long story short, everything from previous reviews are spot on. They come in very approachable and connect with you. Then for several hours tell you that basically whoever built your house had no idea what they were doing (told us we have double shingles attached, later we find out this is a lie) and that you won't last the next winter with your current roof/gutters. We were shocked. They then would intimidate you with a bunch of videos, long talks, and how great they are. We said we would need time to think about it because we were planning an addition on the house later and would do the roof then. They said they would come back and do the roof again because it was "under warranty." I should have know that was a red flag. After a 52k quote on a SMALL 1300sqft house, we said that is way to high and we needed to get other quotes and do our due diligence. They were not happy, called a bunch of fake "managers" and got it lowered to about 34k, by that time we had to be pretty forceful in asking them to leave. Scummy sales man from top to bottom. We got a local guy out that very same day who quoted us 15-17k and said our roof is fine for at least 4 more years. Ha read more

I would post zero stars if I could. Like others here, I am disgusted with DaBella's dishonest, aggressive, and unreasonable sales practices. I am pricing Hardie board for a huge 4,000 square foot siding replacement job (super expensive with much consideration to go into this decision). I sought four estimates from the Hardie Preferred vendor list, of which DaBella was one. They were the first out, taking more than 1.5 hours of my time, telling me they expected a signed contract at the end of our meeting. I told them that that was never going to happen, and that I had no more time for them. They asked for 1-2 more hours of my time in follow up (after all my other quotes were in so they could evaluate all and give me a price that "would work"). No quote would be given, as anticipated. I ended up canceling this later appt at I thought more about their poor practices. I ended up getting a call from their office to reschedule, wherein I told them I had no intention of doing so. When asked, I told them I completely disagreed with their sales practices, to which the scheduler told me it must have been someone new, they weren't properly trained, there was no way they do that, etc., etc., etc. Super foolish me allowed a second set of sales people out who did THE EXACT SAME THING AS THE FIRST SALES REPS!!!! Ate up all my (work) time, showed me all the requisite photos (described in other posts), trying to strongarm me into purchasing that day, when conveniently their 20% offer would end! (Incidentally, they couldn't give me a quote, not knowing the "specifics" of what promotions would apply, even though I told them I would be making a decision in the next two weeks.) Complete and utter BS. Don't fall for it like I did. They will not give you a quote. They will try and strongarm you into signing on the spot. I am thankful they show their true colors at the beginning so I could properly discard any thought of their actually doing the work for me. read more

RE: Free Roof Replacement Estimate With DaBella. Do not waste your time. Their salesman certainly wasted a lot of ours. It took four hours, that's right 4, to get to a quoted price that was unreasonable for our small simple roof replacement. We had to watch videos, hear the entire history of the company, and be schooled on the DaBella "system". Salesman went on the roof and into the attic, and came back with horror-story pictures that I now question were actually of our property. At various points in the tedious presentation he wouldn't move forward until we selected an exact color or type of shingle, although we hadn't made those design decisions yet. These factors don't affect the price, so why the pressure? After we said the price was too high, he threw all our "yes" answers that he'd forced from us back into our faces. "Do you think you trust this company?" "Do you like this color?" "Do you like the way this looks?" then became "You said you liked this, why aren't you buying it?" He tried bullying and shaming us into signing a contract even though we'd told him up front we were not buying or signing anything that day because we had other estimates to collect and evaluate before making a decision. Eventually, he made a fake call to his boss, just so that we could hear him repeat all the horrible things he'd found wrong with the roof and try to scare us more. In the end, we had to tell him to leave, which thankfully he did. Otherwise, it would have been time to call the cops. The sad part is, the roof system looked okay, and we might have bought it at the two hour mark. But the transparent manipulation and obviously scripted sales tactics were so offensive that we would never consider this company to do any work. read more

The high pressure, do anything to get me to sign RIGHT NOW pitch they put me through for an hour after the roof check ensures I will never do business with this company. RED FLAG: They do not want you to take time to do research on their company or compare or get quotes with other companies and insist since their technology is proprietary you can't compare them to any other company any way. In my opinion any company that does not want an educated customer is up to something shady. We were getting a few quotes from local roofers for a new roof since the last permit was pulled when the house was new, 1975, and maybe the roof was replaced before we bought it in 2012. Apparently DaBella was notified that we had consulted HomeAdvisor (Angie's List). A woman showed up to take measurements even though we hadn't called them. She went up on the roof, took some pictures and I said I wanted to do any discussion when my wife was present since we don't make any major decisions solo. She was pretty insistent and said she could talk to me. It took several minutes to get her to leave. We got calls from them several times and I firmly told them to leave us alone. We will go with a local company who gave us a decent price after comparing several others. From the negative reviews, DaBella has uniform pans from Colorado to CA, and other states. read more

My wife hired Dabella and they did not do a great job. The sales guy that came by was awesome and knew what he was talking about. After we signed the contract is was ALL down hill. They tore the roof off and let the wood roof under the shingles get wet. Neighbor told us that is really bad for the home. Then after they finally finished the shingles were wavy and they promised to fix it but have never come back. The only silver lining is that they only did the roof for a rental property but every time I drive by and see the roof it annoys me. Stay away. read more

Bait and Switch- Plain and Simple Estimators from DaBella came to give me a roof estimate and were at my house for 2 hours which I would think would be more than sufficient time to give an accurate price. They both climbed up on the roof and looked in the attic. Both said the attic looked dry but Oscar said that on the roof it looked like some pieces of plywood might need to be replaced. They gave me an estimate but I declined to sign a contract that day because I wanted to get other estimates. Shortly after they left, Jensen, who said he was the manager, called and offered to lower the price from over 15k to $10,999k if I signed the contract that day but I still had until the end of the week to cancel if I decided to go with another company. I mentioned the plywood that Oscar had brought up and Jensen said that any wood that would have to be added, they would cover in the $10,999 price. Since this was a phone conversation I told him that I would reply all on the contract and reiterate what we talked about on the phone and if he disagreed with anything that I said, he should also reply via email. When Natalie was writing up the contract she and Oscar again called Jensen to double check that wood was included in that price and he said over speaker phone that it was. I sent the email stating that for the $10,999 price it included everything including extra wood as well as no tax or other fees added. I was home when the roofers arrived. We chatted briefly and I went back into the house. About three hours later they had all the shingles off and were taking a break so I brought them some breakfast burritos and looked at the roof and thought the wood looked pretty good and I asked one of the roofers if he thought it looked good and he said yes. He never expressed any concerns with me at that time and about 30 mins later I went to the office. The sales people/estimators stated that their roofers are all specially trained and factory certified to work on these roofs which is the only way that they can offer the 50 year warranty on hail resistant shingles that get you a discount on your insurance. If these guys were subcontractors and not authorized to talk to me about pricing I'm assuming either the training requirement is a lie or I am not authorized to get the warranty they sold me. At the end of the day Oscar telephoned me and said that he needed to come talk to me about my cost. I asked if there was a problem. He stated that there was additional wood that needed to be added so there would be an additional charge that "wasn't significant". I reminded him about the conversation we had with Jensen and told him that I had followed up on what I said about writing an email to clarify everything was understood. He stated that he remembered that Jensen said that he was going to cover additional costs and remembered that I said that I was going to write the email so he said he was going to call Jensen to find out what the "final cost" was going to be. I told him we had a contract stating that the final cost was $10,999 and that is what I was expecting to pay so have Jensen call me. A few minutes later I got another loan application from the bank requesting a signature for $16,549. They never got my permission to ask for additional funds and in my book a 50% increase in cost is SIGNIFICANT. The lender verified that Dabella was trying to change the loan amount without my approval. Not sure if this is illegal but it is certainly unethical. The lender advised me not to sign anything else so that they could not get any funds released until they verified if they were going to honor the contract or not. Both Oscar and Jason assured me that getting building permit was included in the pricing and that they handled all of that. I contacted the permit office on 3/13/23 and as of yet, no permit has been pulled for my address. So I need to know if this is another problem I am going to be stuck with because of this company. read more

Working with DaBella has been one of the worst mistakes I could have made as a homeowner. There's been little to no communication unless I initiated it. Neither the sales rep nor their install team knows how to use a measuring tape as they failed to order all materials. My home now looks awful. There was no ETA on the arrival of the missing materials. On top of that the crews removed the old gutters and didn't put them back even as a temporary fix. Of course my house didn't have any gutters during the 3 days this week when we had 2" of rain fall each day. Thanks DaBella for such an awful experience. read more

Incredibly pushy sales strategy. Said they were a "different" kind of construction contractor and wanted to change the culture so it was more approachable and easy for customers. The door knockers/consultants were very nice people, but they have called and visited relentlessly since I first engaged with them even after telling them it is a no. I am sure the company requires them to do this, so I don't blame the individuals trying to meet the requirements of a sales job. They call and ask to come by for 2-3 hours, when I say I don't have time for this they are extremely pushy asking for details of my weekly schedule. No respect at all upon hearing I have work and childcare responsibilities. When I finally asked them to put me on the no call list they hung up abruptly before I could finish the sentence. When I am in the position to get work done, I will specifically avoid this company because of their sales approach. It feels super desperate that they can't take no for an answer and remind you they are there when you are ready in a more respectful way, and makes me think that they get a lot of business from older more vulnerable people they can wear down. Tell your Marketing/CX/GTM team to go back to the drawing board, this is not classy or signaling competence. read more

Late with installation per the contract and would not allow me to get my deposit back when they were not able to complete the installation on the anticipated date. The GM Jordan told me (very aggressively) that I was unable to cancel because the material was already ordered but that I could switch to a different shingle that they had in stock and did so (after I was refused to get my deposit back even though they were unable to meet the deadline in the contract). Come to find out the material had not even been ordered yet, when I was told it was, as the original shipment of material was sent and dropped off at my house with the invoice showing the date it was ordered, which was ordered after he told me I couldn't cancel because the material had already been ordered. The additional shipment was set on my lawn for over a week where I had to call/send email/ text three different times to get them to come and pick up the duplicate order that was sitting on and ruining my yard and sprinkler system. Jordan (the GM) was very aggressive even after the installation, with not the original agreed upon shingles, and tried to force me to pay even before the final inspection was complete. Jordan ruined the whole experience with Debella. Will never recommend Debella to anyone and had siding and other roofs that needed to be done. Will never use them again. Terrible customer service and demand payment before the job is even complete! read more

They seemed desperate. They pushed harder and harder on me. Initially I wanted gutters but they offered a look at then roof as well. All I wanted was a cost. I know I need gutters and probably a roof but when I said I need to research and find out all of my options it turned into needing me to sign a contract IMMEDIATELY! Then the shady dealer tactics, call the boss, boss okays a better deal. I reiterate I am not ready to do this yet. Another call to the boss. Cost comes down even more. The more I wanted to have my ducks in a row and know all of the details even outside of the job the harder the push to sign immediately. When I said I might have to try and sell some stuff to make the down payment they harder the push wad. "How long will that take?" If they were so keen to give me the best deal possible why didn't they just give me the best deal possible right off? Why so insistent? Why so desperate to get a signature right away? Wouldn't it be fine to say "Take your time, this is a big decision. We will be here when you're ready." Also, if they were going to have several lenders compete for my financing how did they know what monthly payments I'd have? I almost bet they saw my uneasiness and thought i am on poor financial footing. Put a lien on my house. And if I can't pay they take my house, plus all the money I had paid to that point. On the paper they never put a price on the gutters, or any options outside of the roof. Just the hard numbers for the roof. It wasn't a price quote, it was a sales pitch pure and simple. Going to have some friends in construction go over their work and see if the problems are what DaBella said. These friends care if my roof is bad they won't want to risk my home, they may not have access to the stuff DaBella uses (or what if they do?) read more

I do not have anything to say about the quality of DaBella's products, contractors, or work, but the consultation process of this company is an absolute NIGHTMARE! Be prepared to spend double the time they tell you it will take with their salesmen. Make sure you have other quotes with similar products to see just how overpriced these jobs are. A rep called and scheduled salesman came to my house for measurements and a consult saying it would take 50-90 minutes. The salesman measured for about 30 minutes, and then wanted to sit down and talk about EVERY SINGLE detail of the company, how they make windows, warrantees, and their reviews. Personally, I did not care for a presentation on this much information. I was really just hoping for a bid, preferably sent over email. This presentation took at least an hour. It felt similar to a timeshare presentation. I told the salesman that I was scheduled for a 12 hour night shift at the hospital that I needed to prepare for soon. He then went in to the quote for the windows. I was completely shocked when he showed me the price for the products! $18,000 for 9 small windows replaced. I had a quote from a small local business that was for $6,100 (granted-I was unsure of exactly what type and quality of these windows of the other quote). After I told him that $18,000 was significantly more that we are willing to pay, he offered to call his boss to get an 'efficiency discount'. That price was reduced to about $14,000, but I had to sign today. I continued to say we were not willing to pay that and would need time to think about it. The 'calling his boss' happened several more times for more discounts happened at least 3 more times! I was persistent in saying I would not be deciding today, and I did not understand why signing today would be so important. The salesman, Geoffrey, was not respectful of my time and was not listening to what I was saying! He stayed for almost 3 hours, and I had no time for rest before my shift! I was completely frustrated and had no intensions of doing business with this company after this situation. The last offer he wrote for my was $9,950. How could such a 'high quality product' be discounted almost 50%?!?! He eventually left after I assertively told him I would not be signing today, he needed to leave, and I needed to get ready for work. I have a family friend that was suckered into getting new windows for efficiency, but they are now stuck in a 10 year loan with an insane interest rate! I could see how people can sign their efficiency discount bids due to the aggressive and pushy sales tactics these people use. I never leave company reviews, and I have never had to tell anyone to leave my house, but I want to save others from this drawn-out, miserable consultation process! Absolutely REDICULOUS and unprofessional. We agreed to a 15-20 minute estimated quote for our roofing and siding, on Saturday after a door to door salesman came to our door on Friday. He stayed for 6 AND A HALF HOURS. Took up our entire day until we signed a contract with him. We are a young couple that just recently moved into our home. The salesman gave us a quote of $69,915 for our roofing and siding. WAY over priced. And when we stated that it seemed like a lot, he said that it was for "Quailty work, with fast service. You aren't going to get better or cheaper from anywhere else" A BIG LIE. He also told us that we had issues with ventilation, that our flashing was installed improperly, that he didn't even need to go in our attic because he could tell us right now it was burning hot and had water damage. As well as us having "inorganic growth in our walls" He scared us into thinking we had issues that we did not in fact have. When we weren't biting, he called his boss to get us "a discount for the work" and a "discount for signing today" Our total came to about $59,000. One of the first things he did after looking at the house and showing us the supposed pictures he took, was have us pick out colors and styles for our roof and siding. Practically forcing us into a discussion of a contract with DaBella. After he FINALLY left at 4:30pm, when he had been in our home since 10am, we discussed and realized we had just gotten majorly scammed. The next day, first thing in the morning, I called the salesman and informed him we did not want to go through with the contract. He said that he would have to come back to our home to "discuss the information" This obviously meant he would try to stay another 6 hours and bully us into a contract and try and get us more fake discounts. We knew we had until Wenesday February 16, 2022, to cancel the work. He did not inform us of this, or send us the contract information AT ALL. My boyfriend happened to see it when signing the contracts. We emailed him as well with a formal resignation of the contract on Sunday, February 13th, 2022. We didn't receive any email back for two days. When my boyfriend emailed AGAIN and still received no response. My boyfriend had to call DaBella's support line yesterday, Tuesday February 15th, 2022. To actually get a response and make 100% sure they knew we wanted nothing to do with this contract or the company any longer. We will supposedly be getting a letter about the cancelation in a few days. This has been an absolute nightmare for us, we had to get knew debit cards just to make sure they didn't try and charge us for bs things. I hope more than anything that this is over, and I will be informing ALL of my neighbors of this to make sure they don't have to go through what we did. read more

I would say it was a terrible experience from start to finish but they have yet to finish the work. It was an incredibly pushy sales experience which would have been bad enough but every part of it was a lie. "We never use subcontractors, just factory certified installers" They were sub contractors and had never heard anything about being factory certified. "The most efficient windows" They have been freezing up sense the install. "The best warranty available" they broke a window on install and said it was covered by the warranty- it has been months with no replacement and we live in a very cold climate. "Windows made right here in CO" - every time we try to get an update on our replacement window they are waiting on the truck from out of state. But when an uninvited salesperson knocks on your door in spite of a "no solicitors" sign, I see a bit of how you operate. But then, when that salesperson sees you eating dinner and starts repeatedly knocking on the window, this tells me how much you respect your customers. Kevin, our salesman, was great to work with. He explained everything in detail and answered any and all questions. He spent a large amount of his time with us and worked with us on pricing. The high quality of workmanship, materials, and warranties added up to more than we were comfortable to pay for a new roof, however while we went with another contractor we very much want to work with DaBella on future interior remodels. read more
