Their new location has plenty of space for all their product. They have new and used albums doing used CDs they also have stickers and patches and other rock 'n' roll memorabilia. I also found obscure and hard to find Zappa collection. Highly recommended.

Nothing like a trip to the record store for date night. We stocked our vinyl collection with some good classic albums.

Wide selection of vinyl- new and used options. Cool vibes too. The prices of the new records are a little high. I should have saved my records from childhood!

I had a few issues locating Daddy Kool Records, but not even my GPS could stop me from finding and enjoying this place. The store itself is pretty big, tons of vinyls, cds, dvds (mostly concert dvds), and a few novelty items as well. I noticed near the door a huge collection of cds that were discounted. I picked up some random cds that I used to have for nostalgia purposes. Yes, I stream music, but sometimes I do miss having the physical disc. I loved going through the concert dvds. They had some great finds. I picked up a few dvds as well as some cds too. They vinyl collection was pretty expansive, but I didn't find anything I needed that day at least. It's a great place to beef up your music selection or find something for a music-lover. the prices are reasonable and the staff is really friendly. Definitely worth checking out even if you get lost a few times along the way, keep trying. It's worth it, I promise.

My sticker haul. No Built to Spill or Death Cab stickers, but this will do.

I've walked by countless times, yet finally had the opportunity to venture inside. Was taken back to my '90s youth so big time, the kid behind the counter is lucky I didn't start bawling. Lots of great vinyl, tapes, a bit of music memorabilia and my ultimate favorite - STICKERS! I comb eBay and Amazon and these old-school stickers go for like $5 each. Daddy's got them at '80s prices $1.50. What??! Yessss! My bestie bought a cheap-arse tee for $8 so he can play the role of waking billboard - he's been doing that for Bananas forever. Tip: Great place to take your cool, out-of-town friends.

Daddy Kool was the highlight of our rainy day shopping. My crew enjoyed the wide selection and excellent organization of the vinyl records, cassettes and CDs. We ended up purchasing; Elephant by The White Stripes, My Favorite Worst Nightmare by Artic Monkeys, and Blunderbuss by Jack White. Our salesperson also gave great lunch tips and protective bags for the rain.

Daddy Kool is for the cool kids! This record store has everything from records to cassette tapes and CDs. There is an amazing used section in the back of the store where I was able to find a vinyl record of the Caribbean artist The Mighty Sparrow on sale and a Stevie Wonder record. Daddy Kool has an extensive selection of records and the artists range from Elvis to Miles Davis to World Music. I look forward to visiting again.

It looks like they've moved from this location?

They left their spot on Central Ave to their current spot on Terminal Drive BUT they are relocating again soon... though I am under the impression it's only a block or two from this building

The owner was incredibly friendly and genuinely knowledgably about the book world. She took time to educate me and other fellow guests about the history of the store, which you can learn more from the newspaper clippings in the back of the store. She also talked to me about the Little Free Libraries, how they work, how to find all the registered ones online, and even encouraged me by saying I could host one myself. That conversation along made the visit feel special as you can see how passionate she is. The store has a wide selection of books, thoughtfully organized, with something for every kind of reader. My absolute favorite part was the cozy corner of vintage books - such a charming collection, each one priced fairly and appropriately for its condition and uniqueness. It felt like stepping into a little time capsule. Beyond books, they also carry comics and games, which adds to the fun and makes this place great for browsing, whether you're a serious collector or just popping in to explore. If you love books, community, and supporting small businesses with heart, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I feel this store is such a staple in the St Pete community. Walking through their doors feels like a warm, welcomed hug. The staff are so awesome and welcoming. The drink menu is abundant and yummy - l've tried a few of the matcha combinations and all have been AMAZING. They also serve small snacks as well as charcuterie options. There is plenty to do in the bookstore. They throw some of the coolest events: author visits and signings, board game nights, bedazzling books, and even a Taylor Swift x Emily Dickinson poetry month mashup (THAT was a blast!). They also have different book clubs such as thriller, dark romance, and fantasy. The thriller book club I attend is always inclusive and everyone gets a chance to share their thoughts and opinions on that months read. Now, the most important part: THE BOOKS. Don't you fret; the book selection is plentiful! Romance, fantasy, a whole back room section for thrillers and horror! Most anything you might be looking for can be found within this bookstore. They also have an abundance of "Blind Date With a Book" chock full of goodies included like pens, hair accessories, and stickers galore! I love, love, love this place and the fun people l've met because of it! If you're visiting, please make sure to check it out!

The Book Lounge is a book store and lounge as the name suggests, having a great variety of books and bookish merchandise for purchase with a bar/ lounge inside. With our paid reservations, we were seated at a private table and were able to select a drink from the menu, specifically ones that were hearted on the menu provided on the table. Our reservation also included a couple light snacks, which were a cup of popcorn and pretzels for each of us. The non-alcoholic wine I chose was not available on the day of our visit, so they gladly switched it out with a mocktail for me. We were encouraged to browse the store or grab a board game from the selection they had to enjoy. I'd keep in mind that they only have light bites, so definitely eat before or afterwards if you need a full meal. We were hungry so opted to order a charcuterie board and tinned fish plate in addition to our light bites. Both were good, but I'd probably opt for something else as I did not feel that they were worth the price. I can't speak to the value of the reservation since my finance surprised me with it, and I'm sure this is a type of place you can walk in without a reservation. Overall, it's a fun and cute book shop so I would definitely come back to shop with them again!
