Daddy Ninja was a vibe! I have to return because I felt like I only scratched the surface with food, drinks and general ambiance. For starters, I sat outside because the weather was nice. Though, I did take a peak inside and it had a trendy contemporary aesthetic to it. The music was on point and I genuinely could have stayed there all day just to listen to it. To our surprise, Wednesday's were $10 sushi rolls. We ordered the Karol G Roll, Puerto Rico Ta Cabron Roll, El Fokin Ninja Roll and the Japanese Lover Roll. They were all solid. Additionally, we ordered edamame and yuca fries, as appetizers, and my favorite Morisoñando Boba with passion fruit Boba. Did not know I needed that! The flavor profile was amazing! Shockingly, the fried cheesecake came second. It took me by total surprise. Our server was very kind and attentive. I found myself watching the other servers too and loved how they were engaging with the guests. I definitely need to go back. Daddy Ninja is located in Kissimmee on Osceola Pkwy, all the way at the end of the shopping center between Johnson St and Old Dixie Hwy. This place is popular so parking can be challenging. The hostess was friendly and found us a high top quickly inside. They also have regular table/booths, bar and outdoor seating. As soon as you walk in you can feel the energy, the Latin music playing, the voices carrying through the restaurant while the servers and support staff are actively moving about attending to their guests. While the space is intimate, the atmosphere is very inviting and has a nice layout. The food is an infusion of Dominican and Japanese cuisine, with an emphasis on flavor. They have plenty of options: Appetizers, Sushi (traditional), Sushi Aplatanao (fusion), Main Courses and dessert. Their cocktails are also fun and pretty tasty. This place has been on my list for six months to try and boy am I glad I finally did and I can't wait to go back and try more items. The sushi was delicious. We ordered the Ninja Platter which included 3 Sushi rolls, and 4 appetizers of the chefs choosing. We ended up receiving Yola (spicy shrimp served in a plantain), Gyoza, Chicharron, El Final with chicken, and 2 spring rolls. For the Sushi, we received Real Hasta La Muerte Roll (Salami, Queso Frito, Sweet Plantains, Guacamole & Steak), Kissimmee Roll (Shrimp Tempura, Cream Cheese, Sweet Plantains, Guacamole & Fresh Crab Salad), and the La Pela Roll (Shrimp Tempura, Cream Cheese, Sweet Plantains, Guacamole, Mixed Seafood). We also ordered a Daddy Ninja Roll on the side. My favorite part of the entire meal was the marinated beef on top of the Daddy Ninja Roll. It was tender and sweet, and I would eat an entire entree of just that. The highlights from the platter were Yola and Real Hasta La Muerte Roll. The shrimp were tender, a bit spicy, and paired with a small bite of plantain for some sweetness was perfect. Just a few examples of the variety that daddy ninja offers. The most recent expansion allow them to occupy two of the location on site and expand capacity. The decor and interior design is magnificent. Outside there's a patio that is perfect for large groups. We did try the mar y tierra roll that includes lobster as well as the churrasco with shrimp. The staff are very friendly and do their best to stay attentive, but the service can be slow. The space itself is small and tends to feel a bit crowded, and parking can be tricky since the lot fills up quickly. The decor is nice, and I like how their logo is featured throughout the restaurant. It seems like they're still working on improving the space; each time I've visited, the entire left side was blocked off with black tarp. After being seated we were greeted by what would turn out to be a great server. Since it was Feb 14 the restaurant was giving a free sushi roll to every couple in the restaurant. I've been here twice and I love it so much. The No Bulto Roll for $8 on Thursday is where it's at especially the $6 sangria's which are my favorite. This restaurant is a great place to meet new people especially if you sit at the bar. 2nd time here and I met a wonderful couple Jennifer and Maria. They're both amazing. Amazing experience at this unique Japanese-Dominican fusion restaurant. Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful. Our server, Gilberto, was truly an exceptional host. We enjoyed the volcano roll, Fokin Ninja Roll, Domi Bento Box, red sangria, and for dessert, the horneado de coco. I enjoyed these rolls which were unique fusions of traditional Dominican and Japanese staples, paired together to create delicious flavors. I was extremely excited to try the sushi here. We live close by and never stopped to eat here. We came on a Wednesday which they actually have happy hour on Wednesdays. I was a bit disappointed-- as they were not too busy when we got there, but the food took about 45 minutes to get to us. I did not really enjoy the California roll. We tried the no bulto roll which was actually good along with the real hasta la muerte which was also really good. The service could've been way better. I do love the indoor and outdoor seating. We had learned about it on Instagram and were a bit skeptical that it would be as good as it was made out to seem, however, we were pleasantly surprised. We came around 4:30-5:00 on Sunday and were able to be seated right away once our party was all here. The inside of the restaurant has limited seating, but they had plenty of outdoor seating available that was partly shaded by a canopy and a tree. I have been DYING to try Daddy Ninja ever since I saw it on my TikTok page and omg... the hype is REAL. Delicious is honestly an understatement because we literally cleaned our plates To start, I got the Fokin RD cocktail and let me tell you right now: YOU NEED TO GET IT. Then came the entrées and everything was straight-up fire We got the No Bulto and the Asere Roll, plus the Nijiviri, Karol G, and Real Hasta La Muerte. Every single thing was spectacular. The Salmon in Paradise??? SO GOOD. And the chinola sauce is truly the star of that dish. And don't even get me started on the deserts. The Chocolate Temptation was absolutely divine. You know, I have always came here and always had a great time. However I came here last Thursday and did not feel that same level of hospitality and service. Our server was very short with us and I felt like she did not want to be there. We had enough time to get at least 2 rounds for happy hour and then when she FINALLY came around she had the audacity to say "happy hour is over" which is crazy cause our glasses where empty at least 25 minutes before happy hour was over and she NEVER checked up on us. My family was visiting from Virginia and Chicago and this was their first impression and I felt EMBARRASSED!! The long wait wasn't worth the quality of service and food provided. It's a solid choice for sushi if you want to stay in the neighborhood (Osceola area/south of hunters creek). To start we had a calamari app which was very tasty and not overly breaded which I appreciated. We ordered the 3 rolls: Karol G roll, No Bulto Roll, and Aloha roll. I typically prefer cooked/tempura sushi but the Aloha roll was my favorite among the 3 mentioned. The ropa vieja on the Karol G roll was too salty in my opinion. I would come back on a Wednesday or Thursday when the rolls are on special to determine if I would continue to return. Very loud inside and cramped table placements doesn't allow for a private conversation, especially on a Saturday night.
