***the first thing I have to say is that I smelled cigarettes strongly for a good 30 minutes. I sat at the 4 top next to the kitchen and I couldn't believe it. It wasn't coming from the dining space but the kitchen or somewhere in the back. It was awful. I came here as a stop from out of town. I read some yelpers say it was really good so I decided to stop by. It a small place, more like a joint, which I really appreciate. There was one waitress busting her tail. It was pretty busy. I ordered a special: scrambled eggs (dry and brown in places), hash browns (perfection), smoked sausage (greasy and burnt), toast (nicely done). It took 50 minutes for me to put my order in. There were 4 tops that came in after me that ordered within 10 min of their arrival. I was in no rush but I think single diners get overlooked as a whole. I finally left. My card was on the ticket as I didn't know where/how to pay. My waitress never stopped by my table after she left my food. Not once. I tried stopping her but she never stopped. I'm not from that area but I don't recommend anyone going there. PS- now I'm home and I'm getting sick. The gift that keeps on giving. read more

Although the menu is a bit limited, everything so far has been wonderful. Their hash browns have always been crispy and perfect. And if you want a real treat try the Reuben omelets. It's crazy good! The place was busy but you can tell that everyone on staff are on point because every single table was happy and fed. Dad's biscuits and gravy are the best I've had in this town. The biscuits are HUGE and the gravy is fresh and creamy. In fact, we were the last order to get some before they ran out and it was only about 12:45. The hashbrowns and corned beef hash each had a layer of crispy goodness from the grill and they were the best I ever had. Seasoned perfectly. This chef knows what they're doing! Without Dad's knowing it, it is the type of diner that urban places try to be. The food is low key yummy and fast. For décor they have vinyl-covered tables, vinyl-ceiling tiles, and they have had the same servers for as long as I can remember (yes I consider them décor, they are staples there). And somehow the staff there still knows me when I walk in once every year, which gives it that extra homey feel. When I went last time I was home I had my food in literally 7 minutes after I sat down; I timed it! Any of their food is great, it is diner food, what's not to love? But I highly recommend their pancakes, they are a little sweeter than most. Dads Place is worth a stop if you are in the Three Rivers area, it doesn't disappoint. read more

We've never had a pleasant experience here which bothers me because everyone I know loves Dad's Place. Last time we were here we tried to keep it as simple as possible. When We found it we had serious doubts just looking at the place, it definitely didn't look like a place I wanted to eat! I couldn't have been more wrong!! The staff was awesome, on point without being over bearing. Over easy eggs cooked perfectly! Biscuits and gravy creamy and loaded with sausage! Omelet was delicious with an abundance of ingredients stuffed between the layers. More than glad I stopped and will definitely make the drive to eat there again! read more
