I like that the location is downtown. It's a draw to the area that needs it. I also liked the old building and the high ceilings. Went there on a weekend and it was pretty crowded but we were able to snag a table. Friendly servers but on the slow side if your used to city service. Just relax and enjoy the ambiance. My breakfast was just ok. The server told us the corned beef hash was homemade so instead of me getting one of the wonderful omelet's the servers were bring out of the kitchen I went with the hash. If cutting up small chunks of corned beef and tossing it with some American fries is home made then so be it but I was disappointed and would not recommend it. They had a 'loaded hash brown' side dish that was very good. I'll be back to try other items from the large breakfast menu and will no doubt bump this review up a star. read more

Pretty good breakfast, when they have the sausage gravy. Been here too many times and been told they are out of sausage gravy, problem is there's a fair amount of items that go really good with the gravy like the breakfast burrito. Without it it's horribly dry. Come on guys how hard can it be to make more gravy, I get it you are managing your cost, but really, charge a little more and have some more on hand. I'm been there and watched other people leave because they were out, which is what I did as well. I probably won't be back, been to many times, they aren't getting it. read more

The Main Street Cafe is a mostly typical small town breakfast/lunch kind of place. You can get an ok cup of coffee, a decent meal, and if you live in town you'll probably end up seeing half a dozen people you know. If you don't live in town, chances are you'll feel as welcome in the atmosphere as if you did. The real draw is the price. You can eat a fulfilling meal for under five bucks, and though your taste buds won't reel at any new and amazing flavors, you'll probably feel well satisfied and you wallet will remain happy. This is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants in the area. They have decent food, and friendly staff. They do close at 2pm most days, but I enjoy them for breakfast and lunch most of the time.
