The best Thai restaurant in Miami Food, service and the ambience is just a great combination.

Date night at Daek! We enjoyed a lovely dinner for two at one of our new favorite Thai restaurants-- pork dumplings, salmon poke bowls, and my favorite, green curry. All were super delicious, fresh, and had just the right amount of spice! The staff were very sweet and attentive. Cozy little restaurant with indoor and some outdoor seating. Good deals on wine and beer too!

What waited me and my friends when we arrived

From the moment we arrived this place was amazing! Parking in the rear that was paid but who cares we didn't have to search for parking! Everyone here was friendly and pleasant and the food.... AMAZING... it was my birthday and they we so pleasant and brought us 3 ridiculous house sake shots. The ambience of this place was just cool some cool music playing not too loud we could talk but the food oh my God half the time I forgot to take a photo before I tried it. When we come back next year we are bringing a crew with us!

While visiting Miami from San Francisco, I found myself craving Asian food. After doing extensive research, we decided to go with Daek. Ordered delivery on a Friday night and everything came quickly and tasted up to par too. I honestly did not have high hopes after ordering from a couple of other Asian restaurants. Daek passed the test. I'm a huge fan of thai food and I thought the taste was comparable to some of the restaurants in SF. While I shouldn't compare, as Miami isn't known for their Asian food. This spot was good. Ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, pad kee mao, fried rice, red curry and a tom yum soup + white rice. Everything was pretty spicy as we opted for spicy! I would definitely recommend checking Daek out.

We were in the neighborhood and craving Thai. Opened Yelp to find places near by. This place had pretty good reviews overall so we gave it a try. Ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer. They came out golden, perfectly fried and somehow absolutely no flavor.....none. I gave them 4 stars though because the Crab Fried Rice was EVERYTHING!!! I guess all the flavor went into that lol....and I wasn't mad at it. The service here was great. Friendly attentive staff. Ambiance was nice and chill. I will be back for that fried rice.

Wonderful dining experience at Daek! The service was phenomenal upon arrival which was exceptional and the food was stellar and finger licking good! Kicked off the dinner with the garlic edamame which was exceptional flavorful and delicious. The sticky pork ribs were dazzling in a spicy chill sauce and the serving was plentiful! I also ordered the shrimp tempura and salmon roll which I dipped into the edamame garlic sauce which made the sushi roll scrumptious. Thank you for the complimentary dessert which was delicious. Made reservations online and was greeted as we walked in my the manager who walked up and knew my name. Considering I got there exactly at 7:30pm he knew it was me. Sat down to a table with my name on it (those details) and was introduced to out lovely server. Sushi was exceptional and the Thai items ordered were full of flavor. Considering there is a lot of "tourist traps" in that area I was really happy to get a great meal and personalized service. Great place for a date night btw and music was great playing. The Pad See Eew was PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!! And the customer service was impeccable. This place is amazing, UNBELIEVABLE in taste and I will return every time I am in town, OMG! It's been a very long time when I was able to sit down at a restaurant this lovely and enjoy customer service with at least 2 or 3 waitresses catering to our every need. The food had so much flavor and I honestly cannot even remember when was the last time that I tasted food with this much personality and flair. I will return every single time I'm in Wynwood. Highly recommend.

Has a smaller menu than most Thai restaurants but has your most popular dishes. Started off vegetarian spring rolls which were okay, I've had better. The Thai iced tea was good. I ordered pad Thai with tofu medium spicy which smelled a little fishy, I know they put fish sauce in it but it's a turn off when I get a strong smell of it, luckily it didn't taste fishy. My friend wanted vegetable fried rice without egg but for some reason they couldn't do that so she got red curry which she said was good. Service was good and overall it was good. They do have a private parking lot in the back which is nice.

Unfortunately very mediocre food at best (delivery order- which was on time). Got the Tom yum soup, which was fine but not authentic tasting. Crab fried rice was just oily and not much crab or other flavor. Red curry was good, best dish we ordered. Beef basil was fine, not much Thai flavor. This does not meet NY standard Thai food. Asian food in Miami is lackluster and this falls into that bucket, though I was hopeful. read more

I was excited to try given the great reviews but was disappointed with the flavors. The spring rolls really had no flavor whatsoever, just tasted like fried mush, although the sauce was very good. Two people in my party ordered pad Thai and were both disappointed with the flavor, which they described as very bland and their noodles were stale. I had the kee mao tofu which was for some reason chopped up so all the noodles were in tiny pieces, with very little flavor except it's spice (the spice level was very good however). Overall the food was not bad and perhaps okay for a quick fix, but it was not great and left much to be desired. I might eat here again, if other options are closed. read more

Great spot in midtown for authentic Thai. Picked up for takeout during COVID, got the chicken wings which were honestly probably the best wings I've ever had, the steamed shrimp dumplings, pad Thai and green curry. Everything was awesome and the prices are very fair considering Miami prices. Definitely will go back. read more

When Daek opened up in Midtown we were so excited to try. So many of our favorite dishes from sister restaurant Lung Yai plus additional sushi options makes this a great spot. We love the crispy duck salad, the crab fried rice, the beef jerky, the pad see yew, and the hamachi ponzu and everything we had was delicious. The waitstaff are all so attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our waiter Chris was the best! Will be coming back here often. read more

Unfortunately, very disappointed with the food. Portions are small, which was the least of my problem. The shrimps were raw :( The pad thai was undercooked and had no taste. Very overpriced for the quality of the food. Wouldn't recommend this place. read more

What a great concept, feels so New York! The food it is truly outstanding, can't go wrong with Chef Bas classic Thai tapas. This restaurant is just terrific, great food, very fair prices and a staff that was remarkably kind and professional, something you see so little of these days. The manager on, I believe Roberto, was very welcoming. No Miami pretentious BS. Although a casual place, there was a reserved sign with our name waiting at the table, a nice touch. We were taken to our table and told Chris would be our server. He was friendly and answered all our questions about the menu after first asking if there were any allergies at the table, another nice touch. We had appetizers and main dishes and non disappointed. It was nice to have normal size portions and not be paying for food we did not want or need and the prices reflected same. Even the gentleman who came by and cleared our plates and filled our water had a smile and was professional. There are just too many restaurants in this town not to make a decision to frequent those that seem to care that you have a lovely evening. We shall be back and will recommend it to our friends for that reason. Thank you! read more

BEST SERVICE EVER. very impressed, I travel the world a lot and I haven't ever seen service like this. They did an amazing job of explaining both their sushi menu and regular menu I have been. The food is definitely above average, and pretty cheap considering miami. I highly recommend pad thai! read more

You won't see the standard soy sauce bottles on the table here, and the edamame is grilled... so tasty! You will never have an empty plate on your table, teamwork is exceptional here. One server will refill your water and another will take away your dirty plate, it's really noticeable how they all work together. The restaurant is pretty cold so bring a sweatshirt/ sweater or ask for a cozy blanket. They will gladly loan you one. Reservations are highly recommended, and definitely try their happy hour. Being new to the area, I love the experience of trying new places each time I go out. I could not…read morefollow that rule with Kuffo though...this restaurant is simply too good to not return again and again. The restaurant is named after the owner's grandma. How can anybody not appreciate a guy that loves his grandma? But there is more to Fernando than just that. He actually sums it up on his website when he writes, "cooking is my passion my real joy comes from making my guests happy." Having been there a few times now, I have grown certain that these are not just words. This sentiment comes from the heart and is evident in not just the amazing food, the attentive service, and the beautiful decor but also in the personal attention he shows every customer. It is not just business to him, it is personal. The food here is spectacular. So far I have tried a bento box which included miso soup, chicken padthai, and sashimi. The combination of flavors, the freshness of the fish, and the presentation were outstanding. I believe the dashi base for the soup must be made from scratch because the soup is so flavorful but, if not, I must find out where he gets it. The fish is nicely portioned and of a high quality. The padthai is not overly sweet like at so many restaurants which allows you to enjoy the perfect balance of savory ingredients including the perfectly cooked noodles. The portion is generous...enough to take some home. I have also had the Mongolian Chicken and the Ginger Glazed Salmon. Each of these were excellent, again sharing that perfect balance of flavors. I would call each of these dishes memorable. The only appetizer I have tried is the gyoza. It was outstanding. I like them fried but not oily, crispy on one side, with moist and not over-seasoned filling. These surpassed my expectations. The word perfect comes to mind. The only reason I have not tried any other appetizers is because the main courses are so generous. For the same reason I have yet to try dessert. I have also not tried any of the side dishes. Strangely, I have ordered sweet plantains twice, but for some reason, they were not served to me either time so I cannot comment on them. The experience was so good that is strange omission did not distract from the experience of the meal. The services is simply outstanding, the food is great and the vibe of the restaurant just creates a wonderful dynamic experience. But again what puts it over the top is the personal intention of the owner who treats us like we are his most valuable customer ever every time we walk in. And we will walk in. Lets say that there are delicious and hearty Tom yum soup, and there's the ones that are not, and unfortunately this is the latter. Fine for a small appetizer soup but I prob wouldn't have gotten it had I know what it's like. The fried chicken wings--it was super crispy on the outside, but it was really just the batter that was crispy, not the skin. A true amazing crispy wing is crispy on the skin! And the meat in the inside had no flavor, it was fine with the sweet chili sauce on the side. The Thai basil stir fry came out in a big bowl and we were quite excited, but then realized that there's actually not too much stir fry in there as the bowl is mostly filled with rice on the bottom.
