Our first time at Uchiko and had a wonderful experience with Alex! We had been to the Uchi in Wynwood before but never this Uchi concept so Alex too great care to walk us through his favorites on the menu and explain the differences with the concept. He made some great recommendations and was clearly very passionate about the food! Of course, can never go wrong with the Hama Chili. The Suzuki Japanese bass nigiri, Brussels sprouts and chicken sum tom were also standouts. We noticed we were only 30 min away from their late night happy hour and Alex was very nice to bring us a happy hour menu to browse, also made recommendations from this menu and let us linger a bit. From the happy hour, the ceviche hand roll is so tasty. The sake crudo was also fantastic and a great way to end our meal with something refreshing and a bit sweet. A standout of both Uchi locations is the amazing service - our empty plates get picked up right away, detailed explanations of each dish are shared with each presentation - really great team. Thank you Alex and the whole team for the amazing experience!

Absolutely amazing experience. We ordered the hamachi edamame, grilled shishito peppers, three temaki rolls including the P38 the spicy crunchy salmon and a toro roll with chimichurri sauce (I forgot the name), salmon sashimi, hamachi sashimi, and the wagyu dumplings. Everything we had was outstanding. Our favorite roll was the toro temaki with the chimichurri sauce!!! it was truly AMAZING. I'm still dreaming about that roll. The food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic. Honestly, I even liked this restaurant more than Uchi, which we've been multiple times. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible dining experience.

Elevated Japanese. Great HH with generous portions. Definitely stop by and grab a few bites before heading out or do the omalase which is very reasonable and will fill you ip for a long night in Miami.

Robert was an amazing server! The ambiance was great and the food was unbelievable! All servers were super knowledgeable about what was being served and mitigated a very peak rush hour with seamlessness. We opted for the somakase and every course was just delicious. Absolute gem

One of the best asian food restaurants in South Florida. We had the Sake toro, gyutoro, and many other dishes and it was cooked to perfection. The sushi melted in our mouth. Thank you to Paula for suggesting amazing food and being very attentive. Restaurant was very nice and ambiance was great, will be coming back again.

Second visit for dinner, we made reservation. It wasn't as crowded for a Tuesday night and we came in during happy hour so we tried some new things. Crispy tuna rice (9/10): MUST have for appetiser, love it. The jalapeño on top gives it an extra kick and texture, which not every restaurant has it on their crispy rice. Nice. Beef dumplings (7/10): Very flavourful, crisp on the outside and juicy fillings. But a bit on the saltier side because of the soy sauce. Spicy Popcorn Shrimp (7/10): Yummy but not my favourite, it's not anything unique but quite up to standard. The breading is thin yet crispy, just the flavour is quite straight forward, siracha mayo DNA. Chicken Karage (8.5/10): Very tender fresh and juicy, but just like the Spicy Popcorn Shrimp, it's nothing special. Unless you're a fan of this dish then it's good to order. Seaweed Salad (8.5/10): Quite refreshing, good. Seasoned the right way, great pairing. The nigiri(s) are all very good, all 9/10. My favourites are the Ikura, Scallop, Sake, Toro, Yellowtail. It's my second visit to Uchiko and not a dish here disappoints, definitely recommend. Service is also great, attentive not annoying, professional and understands menu well. Sake selection is decent and fun.

Went back for omakase HH before Swan Lake ballet nearby at the Filmore theater. The food was very good, this has become a regular for the family. I forgot a picture of the welcome shot to cleanse the palette and mushroom stone pot. The service was good but tends to a bit inattentive yet again as perhaps it's busier because of HH?

Mushroom charred rice bowl - pass! No good.

We were so excited for Omakase Happy Hour! $120 for 2 people turned out to be just OK. It's a very busy restaurant and even though Japanese, we had to ask for ginger, wasabi and soy sauce. I didn't enjoy the omakase choices. Some dishes were under salted, the steak bites were way heavily salted and the filler rice dish was terribly sour. We ordered off the regular menu - the uni sushi was not fresh. It left a guttery bitter after taste. A huge pass. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the service, food or pricing. It turned out pretty $$$$ too. And I wasn't even full. Check out the photos.

We had a reservation at the sushi bar on the Friday night the restaurant was very lively! It is a beautiful space and the sushi bar is great for a date night. Our sushi chef Esteban was very kind and gave us multiple free dishes, so highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar to try more. Our favorites were the dumplings the hamachi crudo, incredibly fresh! Would love to come back and try the happy hour tasting menu.

Amazing date night at Uchiko in Miami Beach, sister to uchi and this beautiful spot has been open since March 2025. I came in on a Friday evening at 6 to try their happy hour tasting menu and wow, what a wonderful time. Our server Wesley was superb, always checking in on us and giving us his recommendations as well. Everything we received on the tasting menu was delicious, from the classic hama chili to the filling Denver steak. Aside from the tasting menu, I ordered a cocktail - tsurai and my boyfriend tried their beer. We also enjoyed the hearth grilled oysters, also delicious. I left feeling very satisfied by the end of the menu and looking forward to returning for my next special occasion. Well done.

Cheers!

WOW! Simply next level sushi experience! From start to finish, the service was excellent! Our server, Hays, couldn't have been more attentive, made better suggestions, and all in all, I think she enjoyed seeing our joy as we went from dish to dish throughout the night. And let me add, the restaurant was slammed! It's was boat show & Valentine's! We were a party of 5 and arrived when it opened. Surprised to find they have a happy hour menu! The selection on the HH menu is amazing and the prices even better! I think we may have ordered 2 of everything! The edamame was really good (the best actually), the shashito peppers were hands down perfect! We eat sushi several times a week, and in every city we visit! We know sushi! Uchiko offers several dishes that we have never had and our favorite (hands down) was the unique bowl of rice & mushrooms with an egg on top! WOW! Drinks were all on point! And Hays kept them coming! Let our pics give you an idea of our dishes. Nothing disappointed! The restaurant is very pretty. They have a few private rooms which are perfect for a celebration with friends! The ambiance was wonderful. The restaurant was packed yet it wasn't loud. And their level of service was amazing. We will be back! You got super fans in Pinecrest, it was well worth the drive!

Uchiko has very quickly become one of my favorite spots in Miami. Their sister restaurant is in Wynwood, and this spot is located in the Sunset Harbour area of Miami Beach. I've gone to their happy hour a couple of times and have stayed well past it because of how great the drinks, bites, and staff are. Staff are truly very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. The decor is amazing! There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as seats at the bar and the sushi bar. I've tried all their seating except the outside since it's gotten a bit hot lately. I love their vinho verde and prosecco. Some favorite bites are the broccoli yaki - delicious broccoli with a spicy kick, the inari makimono roll - which is tofu roll, I absolutely love the avocado nigiri, and nasu nigiri. Their Japanese potato that comes with crème fraîche is also top notch along with their Hama chili. The food is so fresh, flavorful, and well balanced. Portions can be on the smaller size but worth it for all the flavors. The amazing food doesn't stop there - their desserts are also so good. The milk and cereal was a favorite, so much flavor and decadence. The tropical tart was also good, and very refreshing. Definitely cannot wait to return to Uchiko!

Celebrated my daughter's birthday here and we had a lovely experience start to finish. Everyone wished my kiddo a happy birthday which made her night extra special. We came just in time for happy hour- and ordered avocado nigiri which had this delicious little dot of limey spice garnish on top, the sake nigiri (salmon), Wagyu tartare which came with two pieces of delicious chopped Wagyu with some zest, Toro temaki (yum ! Tuna hand roll), the char sui skewer (crispy juicy fatty salty pork belly- some of the best any of us have ever had and one of our favorite bites of the evening, served over a tangy and vibrant - well balanced acidic cucumber salad), and crispy pork which was served over crunchy chips but we actually didn't love because of the chili sauce which had a fermented type flavor that didn't sit well. Everything else was top notch. The hot stone Wagyu dish was fun but the meat needed more salt, our stone seemed to cool down too quickly and if you don't cook it long enough it's sort of chewy. The best part was dessert- we got the milk and cookies which has fried milk balls (so tasty that alone is worth getting on an airplane for to come to Miami), and a s'mores dessert which wasn't as great (in my opinion) but my daughter still liked it. Overall a stellar meal , beautiful restaurant interior and lovely friendly service.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance and location created the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The food truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Miso Black Cod -- it was phenomenal and had the same rich, buttery texture as Chilean sea bass. Absolutely delicious. The Wagyu Burger was also outstanding -- freshly ground, high quality, and cooked perfectly. We also tried one of their sushi rolls topped with miso and filled with fresh tuna and salmon, and it was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Our server (I didn't catch her name -- an Asian woman, possibly in her 40s) was wonderful and made our experience even more enjoyable with her attentive and warm service. We truly loved this place and are already looking forward to coming back, especially to explore more of their sushi menu. Highly recommend!

They need to be a good sushi place to survive in this area but again like most places in the area charge 20% gratuity. This makes employees feel entitled and lose motivation to give good service. These are subsidies for the company to pay employees. The ambiance is actually good for this area. I would give 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable or if they actually had spectacular food. In any other city this would be decent sushi at half the price.

I went with a dear friend for his birthday at Nossa on Thursday and had an amazing time. The entire…read moreexperience was definitely one to remember. The environment of the restaurant is dark and mysterious, edgy and luxurious, which elevated my anticipation of the meal to come. The complimentary glass of champagne was a nice welcome. When it was time to dine, all the guests for the evening were led down a low lit hallway to the dining room. When the frosted glass doors slid open, they revealed a beautiful chef's table situated in the center of the room. All the lighting, colors, and decoration point your eyes toward the chef as if he was on a stage. The restaurant is small, only a few seats around the table. This was nice because you get to know about your fellow guests. Everyone in attendance was so fun and personable. Now for the food. I will confess, I do not normally even like sushi or crave Asian food of this style. However, I loved every dish that was served to me. They hit all the senses - sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Other reviews have gone into detail about the various dishes and how good they are so I don't need to. I just want to echo those points and simply express gratitude to the chef for opening my horizons to enjoy these dishes I would not normally have. The showmanship is just right. The chef jokes with the guests and shows off his techniques but there is nothing kitschy or cliché about it. If anyone is concerned about that, let me allay your fears. There were three birthdays being celebrated that night, one of which was my friend's. The restaurant treated us all with a delicious coconut ice cream topped with caviar and finished with a cloud of gold dust. Seeing my friend light up from the gold dust finish made me so happy. Everyone who had a birthday walked away feeling extra special. Finally, a word about cocktails. The Japanese whiskey old fashioned was stunningly good. I had two of them. They source some very old and rare Japanese whiskeys to make their cocktails so they were certainly special. Would I recommend Nossa to others? Absolutely! They limit reservations to a max of two people so go with a close friend or loved one on a special occasion. It was be an experience you both remember and cherish.

Highlights: * Ultra luxury Omakase…read more* Starting at $295+++ per person * An exciting and exclusive experience dinner and a culinary "Show" Omakases in the Miami area have become almost as common to find as Lamborghinis and Ferraris on South Beach lately and high end venues where you can easily beg for the right to pay in advance and spend over $1,000 ++ per couple for dinner with wine or sake, tax, tip and extras, are becoming quite common. If you're going to drop a grand or two for dinner you are 1. Looking for something really special, 2. Want great food, great service and a special experience, 3. Can afford it or at least for a special occasion. I can't speak to your budget but Nossa, which means "Wow" in Portuguese will provide you with a very unique experience, a "Wow". You pay for a non refundable meal on Tock, in advance. Tax, tip, beverages and extras will be paid onsite later. There are only 15 or so spots per night, 6-8 per seating. Be sure to pay attention to the email instructions. You must arrive in advance (not Miami time). Part of the fun is finding the place. You are directed to a small poke shop where it looks like you're in the wrong place. You ask the cashier for instructions. He hands you an envelope with your name on it. You open it up and it tells you how to find Nossa. There is a secret hidden entrance close by and they will ask you the password before allowing you in. The secret door opens to a small speakeasy type bar with silent movies playing on the wall and you are offered a complimentary glass of bubbles (Prosecco). You are later escorted into a beautiful room, black with red lights, Japanese lanterns, jellyfish art, a large open kitchen and a custom semi circular marble dining counter with a spot light over each guests service area, where you and a few other guests (8 total maximum) will enjoy watching the night's preparations served directly in front of you. Depending on the theme of the night the focus might be on fish, wagyu, caviar, sake or whiskey matching. Chef Max Kamakura of Brazilian and Japanese background starts the show. Expect a lot of smoke, fire and showmanship as he creates 13 or more courses for you. On our visit in August the focus was Wagyu A5, see photo of menu. We had 7 different Wagyu preparations (oyster, tartare, smoking sando, tataki, Shabu shabu, uni, lemon and chasola), with 4 nigiris and dessert. We also took them up on several additional nigiris which were $20 each ++ per person extra, adds up. There is a small wine and sake list or corkage is available for wine collectors. I found it interesting that Nossa ages their own fish. Yes certain fish can be aged if you know what your doing. And like prime dry aged beef the fish can gain amazing complexity. We tried some aged fish next to fresh and it was quite surprising. Chef Kamakura uses an array of special cooking gadgets, smokers, and at times it looks like the lab of a mad scientist or a magician. When he's done you are served in an array of unique and attractive dishes. Nossa is not for everyone, but if you're an adventurous foodie who can handle Michelin prices and are looking for a unique experience then Nossa is for you.
