Pork Ramen & Gyoza
Kaykay M.

The service was great at the time I got there with my date we were the only ones there but the server was attentive and lively which made the experience very fun. The food was also very delicious, I got the pork ramen which was yummmyyy and great portion size. The vibe was also super nice it had a cute aesthetic with string lights and great music, definitely recommend for a nice dinner

Incredibly fresh sushi, excellent flavoring combinations and amazing service! I highly recommend you try Hoshi and sushi!

Gyoza with pork fried

Located in the carriage house condos there's no signs on the outside telling anyone that this place even exists. Only found it because of yelp. It was pretty late and building doors were not opening. Pushed the buzzer and the opened. The lady at the front desk pointed us towards the restaurant. It was cozy and inviting. We ordered sushi boat for 2, fried pork gyoza, spicy sashimi salad, chicken fried rice and chicken teriyaki, and tuna love roll. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Food came amazingly fast. With tip included we spent $200 but was worth it for us.

Hidden spot in a hotel but the food was delish!!! We got 2 roles and our waiter was helpful with selecting our choices and accommodating to gluten free options. Such a lovely dinner. Felt private and calm. Valet is $8 so keep that in mind.

This was for four people, so much deliciousness l, was very fresh and satisfying.

Fresh, delicious, good service. Highly recommend. Inside of a hotel, we had a large group so we were seated outside of the restaurant so there was a bit of foot traffic but everyone commented how good it looked.

I wish I would have discovered this little sushi place a while ago. Located inside the Carriage House condo. No problem they valet your car and if you validate it at the restaurant it's less than $5. Amazing! Off to the right of the lobby you will find Hoshi With multiple seating areas and cute decor, you can find your best energy seating here. There's even a cute long table you can deserve for a big party. On to the food. The house ginger salad was very tasty and their ginger dressing is homemade. The dragon and spicy tuna rolls were delicious. Need to come back with more people and try things off their menu. Prices are resanonle for sushi on the beach. Quality is very good. Music selection was also very good. Housey techno fun. It was a fun experience overall. I take off a star because it was a little hot.

I used to frequent this spot when it was a different sushi restaurant (Nakorn) and was disappointed to hear it had closed. I was eager to try Hoshi and see if it could live up to the amazing sushi prepared in that location by its predecessor. The ambiance hasn't changed. The decor is quaint and not particularly remarkable. The smell of incense greets you as you enter. Service is friendly and attentive. I decided to order a mix of hot food and sushi. The menu tempts me, offering two of my favorite cuisines- sushi and Thai. Unfortunately, the sushi left much to be desired. It wasn't bad by any means, but simply..boring. We asked for sides of spicy mayo and eel sauce which added some much needed oomph. But overall, we weren't terribly impressed by any of the rolls we tried (spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, rainbow). The hot food was far more impressive. First, pan-fried pork dumplings came out crazy fast and piping hot. They were perfectly crispy, yet filled with substantial meat inside, and paired with a delicious dipping sauce. We also tried the coconut shrimp which came out equally hot and fresh. So crispy, these were a great appetizer to share. We would have liked slightly more of a coconut flavor but overall no complaints about the hot food. The Thai entrees that passed us by as they were being delivered to other tables smelled and looked SO good it made my mouth water and filled me with regret over our order. I would definitely come back again, but would likely skip on the sushi and just order from the Thai side of the menu.

Wow. This is the cutest little sushi spot hidden in a beautiful condominium building. The ambiance is peaceful and the decor is Instagram worthy.... The service is amazing, our server had some great recommendations and the food was excellent! My favorite dish was the truffle tuna bites! Yum! I also enjoyed the jalapeño hamachi and the rolls Royce waygu roll. We had other dishes but these were my favorites This place is definitely a hidden gem!!

Good food but awkward environment. The restaurant was in a hotel/apartment complex/grocery store. Was definitely the weirdest place I have been in for a dinner. Also, the service could have been friendlier. I felt as though the server was not ready to offer recommendations, was fairly short with their responses, and the entire experience, or lack there of, felt strictly transactional. I would recommend ordering out since the food was good but I would not recommend going for the experience.

Awesome sushi place here in North Beach. We're staying at Mid-Beach for 10 days for family Thanksgiving. Found this tasty sushi place that's so good we came 2x in 10 days. Best sushi we've ever had, and we're from Los Angeles area, so this speaks volume. Fishes were very fresh and cut perfectly. My favorite is the white tuna. Never had it until I came here, and it is so buttery. It's better than yellowtail, which is my favorite. Christian was our waiter and he was very nice. He hooked us up with a couple of shots of sake for Thanksgiving. Very good service. Place is in the beachfront condos inside the courtyard. It's a really cool place like you've discovered a hidden gem, and it sure us.

We decided to…read morehave our mini-moon at Eden Roc so this was the time to finally splurge and try out Nobu since it's located inside. First, let's talk ambiance. The place is absolutely beautiful. Just walking in you feel like you have been exported to a Miami design Asian inspired dream. It's very dimly lit which is honestly a vibe. It's romantic and intimate. There's some chill house playing in the background. Depending on where you sit you get a view of the sushi chefs making the food so ver authentically Asian. Honestly the vibe carries a lot of the experience. Now - I was not a huge fan of our waitress. We expressed we just got married and she kind of treated it like it was just another day at the office. Which valid for her - but for us this is a special outing and I would have preferred to be treated accordingly and given some guidance as she knew it was our first time here. Definitely a big reason I knocked off a star. The drinks were DELICIOUS. I love a good cocktail that gets you tipsy, has a medley of flavors, and makes you forget that there's alcohol. So definitely I can imagine Happy Hour being lit at Nobu. Now for the food. Honestly it was 50/50 for me. Again, I'm being critical given this is a pricier experience. The Dry Miso Whitefish and the Crispy Tuna were AMAZING and enough to make me want to come again. However, the item I was most excited for was the Wagyu Dumplings and it was MID. I was like did I just pay $50 for ground beef?? It was the most expensive item and probably the worst IMO. The vegetable tempura was perfectly breaded but lacked any flavor. So overall, Nobu is a great date night experience but you need to know what to order and what to avoid so you don't just throw money out the window. And don't expect special treatment because you're spending money because everyone else is too I guess. Perhaps if we were Drake and Cardi B our experience would be different...
