She was extraordinarily intelligent in her field and had integrity. 10/10 piercing studio!!! Long review full of details ahead!! I originally had my double nostrils pierced in downtown Nashville, and 9 months later they were still hurting despite daily cleaning. The corkscrews kept getting caught and one had a gem fall out, so I figured it was time to upgrade. After a lot of searching for studios that weren't just out to make a quick buck off of tourists, I found Dahlia. Their website goes into great detail about their process and health precautions, and the online scheduling tool made it extremely easy for me to book a jewelry viewing appointment for the next day. The shop is on the backside of the businesses my GPS led me to, so it was a little hard to find for me but once I looped around they had their own parking which was great. You have to wait to be buzzed into the shop which creates a very safe space, and I was the only one in there during my visit. Melissa made me feel so comfortable and didn't judge me at all. She listened to what I wanted and helped me make the right decision while also being transparent about pricing. I expected to be sold the jewelry and leave, but she gave them a deep cleaning and installed them for me (free of charge). She gave me lots of advice on how to fully heal my nose piercings and also just had really great, genuine conversation. I came here to get my industrial pierced. Melissa was my piercer and the piercing is in a completely wrong and awkward spot that is not conducive to proper healing. I've have the piercing for a month and a half and now have to take it out to let it heal completely before trying again. I would not recommend coming here and it was definitely not worth the $150 I spent! read more

Several years ago I had gotten a cartilage piercing and kept the same piercing in. However, it got loose and fell out so I needed a replacement stud. I drove over to Dahlia and when I got there realized there was a sign on the door saying appointment only. I was about to turn around and drive home when an employee gave me the signal to wait. He walked over and opened the door and told me that I was in luck since an appointment had not shown up. There were able to assist me with picking out a high quality stud to replace my old one (they had just what I was looking for) and in minutes had sanitized and prepared a table for me to get fitted for the new stud. I went to Dahlia's to get a second earlobe piercing and I would not recommend for a simple piercing. In the end, it cost just about $200 for the piercing on both lobes. There was no transparency on cost - the piercing, the earring, the back of the earring for both ears AND cleaning solution. The man who checks you in is also quite rude and scares you into thinking you won't even be able to sleep with new piercings. The shop was clean and they have very strict COVID protocols. I was recommended Dahlia by a friend. The staff was extremely nice and very well-informed. I went to get my ear lobes re-pierced and my septum pierced as well. The owner was very calming and my nerves were low. However, my cartilage in my nose was pierced instead of my soft spot which made it incredibly painful. I had to go to another piercer to get it re-pierced. The jewelry was also very expensive and was not expecting it to be almost $200 with tip. Overall, if you have the money, go to Dahlia. I was scheduled for a surgery recently and dreaded having to remove all the metal out of my face...mainly my earrings. I have sensitive skin, so I only use surgical steel purchased from a professional. I also leave my earrings in most all of the time, because trying to put them back in by myself makes me super Hulk-like angry. (There are these little round pieces that have to be secured a certain way within the hoops, and I lose my cool every single time I try to put those suckers back in.) Anyway, for many years, I have followed BettyAnn all around this city before she had her own boutique. She has always been more than happy to put my earrings back in for me...and I'd give her a nice tip of course! Only the best for the best! This time around, I didn't know how long it would be before I would be able to go to the shop to have my earrings put back in...partially due to my healing time, and partially due to our current pandemic situation since it evolves daily. So I decided maybe it's time for an upgrade...to consider finding earrings durable enough to leave in most of the time, but are also not as difficult to put in as the hoops are. After perusing their website, I had questions, so I gave the shop a call. I spoke with George, and he was fantastic! He did not rush me despite that it was close to their closing time, allowed me to ask 39 gazillion questions, patiently answered all of them, and also advised on their current safety protocols to keep their clients safe from the possibility of exposure to SARS-CoV-2. By the end of it, I had a lot to consider, but I am in no way afraid of going to their shop during this pandemic. The measures they are taking are extreme and wonderful to keep us all safe...even as far as a requirement to book an appointment online so two people do not show up at the same time, and allowing the staff adequate time to clean top-to-bottom between each client. I had my septum pierced a couple of years ago and it was a complete debacle. The piercer wasn't happy with the placement of the ring and ended up doing it two more times THE SAME DAY. Started off with the greeter chick telling me that my normal ear lobe piercing would NOT be able to be changed for 16 weeks. Which, is a bold face lie, the kind Sarah Huckabee Sanders tells on the daily. According to the American Association of Dermatology, ear lobe piercing can be changed after 6 weeks. This is a sales tactic to upsell you to their "premium" line- in which a small white gold stud is $114 each, not including piercing fee. The piercer was nice enough, the HIGHLIGHT was the apprentice dude, Noah. When I was checked out I wasn't given the option to NOT purchase their over priced $10 aftercare mist. I recently had gone to Dahlia for a nose stud piercing. A few years ago I went somewhere in California for a nose piercing and I had bled profusely and fainted. So when I went into the shop, I told the man up front that that had happened to me in the past and that I was very nervous to try it again and he gave me some glucose tablets and the piercer Stephanie had SUCH a calming voice and really took care of me in my nervous state. I visited Dahlia while on vacation from Orlando. I had originally booked an appointment for 6pm but got into the area a couple of hours early and figured I would stop in.
