Boston Cream, Apple Fritter, Sugar Donut
    Elise B.

Staff is friendly & acknowledges you the second you walk in. I ordered a variety of donuts- chocolate cake, Boston cream, apple fritter, & sugar donut. Their donuts are fresh & hit the spot. If you're looking for a great donut spot to start the day or an afternoon snack - this will satisfy that craving. Parking- small parking lot

The best donut shop in all of L.A. The chocolate and blueberry are my favorites, both delicious with perfect cake-like texture. And they are always super friendly when I stop in. Love this place so, so much!

there's that menu! see? super affordable. non pretentious.

I'm gonna give these homies a 10/10 and say U should go. they have bananas, they're open late, super warm and inviting, great community. they have all the classics and variety of old fashioned- maple classic vanilla and chocolate glazed. wonderful parking and she even threw in a free donut, glazed, after we have a good bond. they also have a unique Snickers topping donut, cake raised, that is good! and parking and a seated area for you to chill and enjoy the donuts of your labor. buttermilk bar was insanely addicting and i think of it often.

Ever more rare in Los Feliz, this neighborhood shop loved by locals offers affordable and unpretentious cups of coffee, rich croissant sandwiches, and a solid array of donuts, all at much more reasonable prices than anything similar nearby. New management has added new energy and more donuts to choose from, but otherwise not much has changed in decades. Come some morning and grab a cup of coffee, a fresh glazed donut, scan the paper (online now), and greet a few neighbors, and you'll swear time stood still.

(Tookout 08/26/21 MO @ 4:45pm): Donuts should always be a daily routine of one's life! I had just come from Hot Chicko's for some early takeout dinner when I saw Daily Donuts another storefront away. If you knew anything about me and my reviews, I would never turn down the opportunity to visit a donut shop in search of their apple fritters to add to my ever-growing list of ones I've tried. How would this apple fritter --- and shop --- do compared to others I've already experienced, and if it were a positive time would this place become a daily occurrence since I lived within the surrounding communities!? PURCHASE THE "APPLE FRITTER IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD TOUR" CONTINUED... Apple Fritter ($2.00): Not that I was an apple fritter snob - eff it...yes I was! - but there was a certain way I liked mine. 1st, the price was comparable to the going rate (how I longed for fritters less than $2.00). 2nd, it was round/square shaped, the thickness and density was less than what I liked, and more the size of my hand rather than my face (an ode to the great Goldstar Donuts in Van Nuys). 3rd, there was a minimal amount of apple bits. 4th, the overall dark brown color was nice with no burnt ends (I loved it burnt), and the heavy glaze made for a decent but messy cracking effect. There were several crunchy odd crannies, corners, and nooks which I liked to break off into small little morsels. 5th, it certainly was several hours old based on its temperature and late in the day with no hints of oil pockets or gooey apple juices that leaked into your mouth and dripped down your throat. Overall, it had decent value - 2.5 STARS https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=khkTRJaPup1UzuTqwwfwjA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Glazed Buttermilk Bar ($1.25): A short and stout heavy-glazed creamy bar of goodness I had for breakfast the next day, fifteen seconds in the microwave softened it up as it easily fell apart while it slightly burned my mouth https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=BRx2hh5EIfpQdim8mhZxvA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE Kindly greeted by a friendly young man who was bent-over behind the counter, he quickly took my order as I quickly looked through the display cases (I wanted to get home and eat my hot chicken sandwich!). Minutes later I was out of there and headed for home - easy-peasy! PARKING (FREE) Located within the Hillhurst Kafco Plaza strip mall https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=sOd_PmDLaW0oNrA-_kyAdQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, it shared a medium-sized parking lot with a small assortment of businesses. I easily found a spot this time but definitely felt this place could get filled quickly. Otherwise, there was plenty of street parking along the main drag of Hillhurst Ave. and Franklin Ave. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A small shop with a couple donut display cases, easily legible drink/food menus/prices boards, several tables and chairs to enjoy your food onsite, minimal decorations, and a separating Plexiglass between you and the order counter per COVID-19 guidelines. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large glass windows and door while standard electric ceiling lights covered the rest. I didn't notice any TVs nor background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Honestly, if it weren't for Hot Chicko's I probably wouldn't have seen let alone stopped into Daily Donuts. Because I was in a hurry to get home and chow down on my dinner, I didn't take the usual time to get a better lay of the land nor ordered more staple items of mine such as a boba drink (not even sure then sold this), donut holes, etc. I've had better enjoyable apple fritters (this one lacked many elements on my personal scale), but thankfully the glazed buttermilk bar was a wonderful breakfast, the prices a bit elevated, and the received service was nothing more than what I needed. They also sold coffee/drinks/juices/tea, various snacks, and more! Plus, it was always a pleasure to support a mom & pop small business. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $3.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, it was CASH ONLY (an automatic 1-star deduction in my book), so no accepted credit cards such as mine of choice... AMEX! 3.0 STARS

    One dozen Donut Holes ($1.50)
    Kady L.

This place has been open for as long as I can remember. My grandparents and I used to walk here and get some donut holes whenever I would visit them. Over a decade later, I decided to come back and try their donut holes again. They were $1.50 for a dozen, and the store only accepts cash. I'm happy to report that they're just as delicious as I remembered! So soft and sugary, and the price was very reasonable. It was nice to relive my childhood while I devoured the bag in just minutes. I will say I felt slightly rushed by the lady behind the counter, but that's a small inconvenience for some good donut holes and a trip down memory lane.

I'm from the Bay Area but I've been to Cafe Dulce several times. My wife and I really like their Hong Kong Tea Latte and their Matcha drink, as well as their various donuts and baked goods. In the morning rush they can be a little busy but the staff work hard. On a recent visit I saw people eating their steak breakfast burritos, so I ordered one for myself and a coworker. The burritos were reasonable size, the steak was seasoned well, and the breakfast burrito had potatoes in it (I only like breakfast burritos that have potatoes/hash browns/tots in it). Keep supporting the classics, not just because they've been around for a while, but because they have strong products and service.

Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! Makes for a good sweet lil treat. Hot latte ($5)-- Perfect!! No complaints. Not too milky, not too light. Good ratio. I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good! Steer clear of the matcha!!!

It's light and fresh, not like the fake, overly sweet crap you get at most bakeries here in the US. I think I've ordered from them 6 times in the last two weeks, which probably says it all. Flour Fresh Creme Donut has been around for three years now, so that says a lot about how much people like what they have to offer. I naively went in looking for a traditional ring donut. You won't find anything like that here. They primarily have the Korean-style fresh cream donuts. Again, I was looking for a traditional donut, and the closest thing I saw was the flour twist donut. It was nothing like a glazed twist donut; the only similarity was that it was twisted. It seemed to be baked, not fried. It was very good quality, but I really messed up by not getting a creme-filled donut instead. My friend had a pecan roll and loved it. The quality of the product here is top tier for sure. The prices are premium, but the quality matches the price. They also sell sandwiches as well as coffee and tea drinks. I will certainly go back and try one of the many creme-filled donuts.
