First time coming to this location. Was inside around 430am and every shelf was lined with freshly baked donuts. This was a big win since they are one of the few shops open before 5am. The selection of donuts was everything I could ask for. My order was 2doz reg, 1doz fancy, 1doz donut holes, 3doz hotdog bites and 1/2doz croissants. The staff was super friendly and seemed to know the locals orders as they came in. Super happy I found this spot. Great place to grab food for the team. One of the things I noticed was that by the time I got to work the box had spots where donuts were soaking through the box. Overall, I thought the donuts themselves were average (3/5) but I appreciated the free donut holes. It's always good to support a neighborhood spot! The disclaimer here is also that I have stopped eating so many sweets (gasp! who am I now) so I may not be a good judge of donuts anymore. I got the apple fritter, bear claw, strawberry cheese croissant, and vanilla iced cake donut. As mentioned, the shop threw in some free donut holes! Overall, everything was freshly made, a nice golden brown color, crunchy where it should be, and not overwhelmingly sweet (I actually wish there was more sugar in the donut dough!?) as only the outer layer of the donuts were sweetened. However, it felt to me like they lacked the oiliness of donuts that I sometimes crave. The apple fritter was about 3" x 2" x 2", which is a pretty filling size. There were little cubed pieces of apple in the fritter that had a good texture-- cooked enough to be easy to bite through without being mushy. I wish this had more apple and cinnamon flavor though, but I think that may just be me 3/5. The bear claw was about 4" x 3" x 2", which is also a filling size. It also has apples on the inside but the difference from the fritter is that it's more of a donut outer layer vs. a deep fried crispy like the fritter. This was a nice golden brown color on the outside 3/5. The strawberry cheese croissant is not a croissant. The bread is layers of not too flaky pastry packed together (denser texture) with a thin layer of strawberry jam and sweet cheese (like in cheese danish) in between. Interesting and new, but to me, not as appealing as the other items I got 2.5/5. The vanilla iced cake donut could have been a bit more dense-- it didn't real feel like a cake as much as a cross between donut and something like fried dough. I also wish the vanilla flavor came through a bit more-- this felt like regular icing on top of the donut 2.5/5. Donut holes were fairly standard, but hey, they're free! Everyone loves a free sweet treat :). Also, RIP Halloween this year, so I guess getting these will serve as a replacement! read more

Sometimes a childhood spot is just a childhood spot. Nostalgia can bring joy and comfort.. but there's a lot more at stake.. especially when it comes down to food. Been coming here since I was a child. Hole in the wall vibes with a variety of random snacks, drinks, and donuts of course. It's open really early which is nice. Sometimes I've been up all night or sometimes I'm up really early and craving a bagel sando, was my go to spot in Sunnyvale. The service here is usually nice, and they always give you free donut holes. They just throw it into your bag without asking. Although it's a nice gesture sometimes it's not my favorite thing. If I ever get a hot sandwich the donut holes melt onto the paper wrap and makes it sticky when I'm trying to open it up and eat it. I usually tell them not to put them in there if I remember, especially if I don't want donuts. Anyways, let me get to my experience yesterday morning and why I'm writing this review. I'm up early and wanting breakfast, thought to myself, "heyyy! Daily donuts should be open, I'm going to go down there and get a big breakfast bagel sando!" They have a really big selection of sandwiches and options, I decided to be extra and order a veggie bagel sandwich but add bacon egg and sausage. ( planned on saving half for lunch ) while I'm waiting though.. idk if I ever just missed this or if it was a new thing.. but hella flies in the room. I'm trying to ignore it and I'm thinking to myself... this is pretty bad... fruit flies and the big guys... maybe 30 of them floating about and then I started taking notes of how run down it is..man in front of me orders a couple dozen donuts so they're packing it up. They follow up and another guy takes my order and starts working on it. This is where I just was a bit appalled, and already turned off by the flies. The guy in front of me has a lady with him at the register but I guess she didn't know how to add his large coffee order so the guy making my sandwich comes over with one half of the bagel in his hand and starts helping her and he's typing on the register and everything and I'm in my head like... dude? Really you couldn't at least put my bagel down and then help her... maybe change gloves out? But then he turns around and starts touching my stuff and I just strait walked out.. without saying a word or reacting. I was over it. Like I get the lady needed help and it would only take a second but the cleanliness of this spot really needs to step it up. Touching the register and going back to work on my sando was just nasty. I hate to write this review because I truly loved this spot growing up and I've never gotten sick from eating there.. not going to wait till I do, I think it's what some would consider a greasy spoon?.. and I won't be coming back. The flies were a really big eye opener and the way the guy continued on like he didn't just stop in the middle of making my sandwich to help the lady at the register was poor etiquette. Then to not change your gloves man... what else is going on in the back? I don't want to find out. Good luck daily donuts.. hope they fix this. Pre-COVID review. Daily Donuts was within walking distance of where we were staying in Sunnyvale, so it made for an easy trip by foot to get some hot breakfast quickly. It's been a long while since I've been here but I just update my review. I came here yesterday early morning around 5am (opening) and there was already a line out the door. This place has not changed one bit and I've been coming here since I was 12yrs old! That's 20 years ago!! The workers and owners are the same, food and quality is the same, but prices just slightly up. Nevertheless, still worth every damn penny. I highly recommend their egg & bacon croissant and sausage & egg bagel. They still add donut holes for dessert! Been coming by on random days when my craving for donuts is at an all time high. I love mom and pop donut shops like this cause it reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad would get me a classic chocolate donut after my doctor visits. Made fresh daily, always fully stocked (which helps cause I'm always in a rush to get to work), sometimes they even throw donut holes into your bag. One of the donuts I wasn't too fond of though was their jelly filled. I don't know if it's my taste buds changing or what, but the jelly tasted too much like medicine to me. Not sure if anyone else out there has tasted it, but overall the other donuts I usually get, classic maple and chocolate are almost always on point. I'm a huge sucker for good and well-priced donuts, and Daily Donuts definitely fits that bill. We got 15 donuts and a handful of donut holes for less than $15 dollars! Even though we got them right before closing, they let us in and were really nice (and even hooked us up with an extra donut woohoo!) I absolutely LOVED their Old Fashioned Donuts. Old Fashioned are my faves and Daily Donuts' were pretty immaculate. The perfect density and crispiness on the outside. I'll be back for these. The donut holes were also fantastic, and I was surprised at how fresh everything tasted even though we went at the end of the day. Very solid spot for donuts! Woke up craving a blueberry and a chocolate donut, so my partner picked some up for me from Daily Donuts. Can't comment on the interior or service, but my partner said he didn't have any issues and we even had several donut holes thrown into each bag! While waiting around to start work I was driving around looking for a donut shop and came across this place. Before I could even step foot in here I had to pull it up on Yelp to check out what the reviews were saying and how their donuts looked. After seeing many satisfied customers I walked in and gave it a try. They had a good variety of bagels and donuts. I had one donut in mind and that was a custard filled maple bar, have been wanting one for a few days now. The past couple donuts shops I've been to have not had them so I was ecstatic to see they had them and they were fresh and warm. One day before National Doughnut Day, my buddy and I visited this store, just after getting drinks at 7-Eleven. Outside, they had a sign "softer bagels". Having lived in the Philadelphia area for 8 years, I enjoyed bagels. What this bakery has are what I call "tires". They're huge but that's what most people want. I'll be looking for proper bagels for a long time. We were looking at the various selections. At the middle of the afternoon, they still had plenty. My buddy ended up with a couple of raised doughnuts and I got a red bean roll--yes, that's Asian. The person behind the counter also added some free doughnut holes in each bag. $1.00 for each item, and 2 free doughnut holes seems a good deal. We barely go out anymore because of the virus but wanted donuts and our local shop (which adheres to social distancing protocol) is closed on Sundays. We thought we would try to social distance, wear a mask, sanitize our hands often, etc. We walked into the shop and they rushed us to order when we kept telling them we weren't ready. We just wanted 15 seconds. So the clerk skipped us and asked the next people to come in prompting more customers to fill the shop. There's a sign at the entrance saying that only five people could occupy the shop at one time. Soon there was more than five people in the shop not including the 3 staff members (2 behind the counter, 1 cleaning and stocking things) ordering, waiting for orders, so on so forth. The staff does *not* social distance. There was one person that kept circling around customers preparing the front area and cleaning. The shop is small. This clerk was so close she had to say excuse me. They should have done this before opening. We were very uncomfortable. We ordered coffee. There are signs everywhere that also say NO SELF SERVE COFFEE but told us to serve ourselves and provided gloves. They say one thing but tell us to do another. The coffee station is at one corner of the shop but the lids were at the counter. Inefficient and unorganized. We also ordered a half hot chocolate, half French vanilla beverage. The clerk double checked with me asking French vanilla and mocha; I said no, it's French vanilla and hot chocolate, thanks. She did not look happy. We got extra donut holes in our bags. That seems to be the practice at this shop and while it's a nice gesture, their generosity is not aligned with the rest of their attitude towards customer service. The experience was quite unpleasant, rushed and felt that they were rude. The donuts were average. Overall, my impression of this place is that this is a business that doesn't seem to really care about their customers or about the virus but are haphazardly following the rules just to comply. I know businesses are having it rough while trying to adjust to this new reality but it's already September. Also, don't get sour with me if you got my order wrong and I corrected you. My siblings and I have been coming here for years. The neighborhood adores this little spot. It's a little gem where you can get your breakfast and lunch needs. They have a wide variety with their bagels, donuts and sandwiches. They serve coffee, cold drinks etc.,. This is the little engine that could! It is a tiny shop, but they bake EVERYTHING there, from scratch. Yummy donuts yes, but also; croissants, bagels and muffins. They even make their own Cream Cheese!!! They make like 25+ different sandwich combos, have a Hot Coffee Bar and they're open until 9PM. Yep, you read that right. The prices are reasonable and everything is tasty. I love to get one of their homemade bagels, have it toasted, have them put gobs and gobs of their homemade cream cheese on it and sliced tomatoes. That is a fantastic breakfast! Give them a try. I like to go there and pick up donuts on the weekend for my fiance and a bagel for myself. Sometimes I'll buy a dozen or so and bring them to the neighbors too. The prices are so reasonable that they can't be beat. Now I'll let you know. You're going to have to wait in line, but the people that are in line are also usually really nice people. I would have given them five stars, but the little strip mall that they are in is really super busy, it can sometimes be difficult to find a parking spot and it's kind of dirty outside. Ordered 6 dozen donuts ahead of time for an event. I wrote the order out by the half dozen. 6 dozen for $66. We paid a $30 deposit. The lady said that deposits are necessary now because once, someone placed a large order and never picked it up or paid, and they had gone out of their way to make more donuts for that order. Not a problem, I understand. It's tough being a small business. All donuts that arent sold must be tossed and that is $ and labor down the drain for owners! When I came to pick it up two days later, it was all ready n boxed up! Although if you need to place an order about the amount we did, the lady said there's no need to do it two days in advance, just call an hour before!
