I have been a loyal customer of Bagel Place Cafe for the last 3 years, ordering almost every other weekend and personally introducing at least 10 friends to this spot. Unfortunately, customer loyalty means absolutely nothing here. For a long time, my standard DoorDash and pickup orders have included the note: 'Add extra cream cheese please.' They upcharge me for this every single time (around $0.50+ per bagel, which I am happy to pay!). However, for my last several orders, I received barely a smear of cream cheese despite paying the extra fee. Today, I added a polite note to my order explaining that I haven't been getting the extra cream cheese I've been paying for for last 3 times. Instead of fixing the issue, they canceled my order without any notification. When I went into the store and reordered, the lady at the counter heard my name, immediately marched over, and started angrily shouting at me in front of the entire shop. She aggressively told me she wouldn't make the order with that request and demanded I remove the note in the future. When I pointed out that I was already charged for the extra cream cheese, she haphazardly had the other employee hand me a $1 bill and told me I was getting a normal order. To be fair, the guy working the counter is always nice, chill, and accommodating. But the lady at the counter is incredibly rude, lacks basic customer service skills, and has a terrible temper. Shouting at a dedicated, long-time customer in front of a full shop because they asked for an ingredient they paid for is completely unacceptable. The Bagel Place Cafe is my favorite bagel place and is conveniently located near my work. I stopped in this morning before going in to the office and had the most delicious bagel sandwich. I ordered a lox sandwich on a sesame bagel. The sandwich came with cream cheese, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and of course, lox. I also got a bottled Starbucks Frappuccino. It's hard to say why their bagels are so much better than everyone else's. They just plain taste good and have the perfect amount of toppings. Some places only give you a few tiny slices of lox, but the Bagel Place Cafe is quite generous. The veggies were fresh and healthy and the cream cheese was perfect. Plus the people who work there are nice and friendly and the whole place gives off sweet mom & pop vibes. I was looking for a place to have breakfast and decided on the Bagel Place Cafe, which is located in a strip mall on Lawrence Expwy, close to Oakmead Pkwy. The parking lot is decent and shouldn't be too much of an issue. The small mom and pop store is compact but has a self-serve coffee refill area. A large picture menu board to make ordering easier. 11C. Sausage Egg Croissant with cheese (5/5). The creaminess of the cheese paired well with the fluffy egg and packed with sausage patties. Stopped by Bagel Place Cafe to grab some bagels for the day. Went around 11am on a Saturday and it was not too busy, with there being some indoor and outdoor seating available. I got two Jalapeño Cheese bagels - one with egg & cheese and another with veggie spread and it was ready after 5 minutes. Bagels were pretty standard, and I wish there was more Jalapeño Cheese flavor as it tasted like any regular bagel. Good amount of cream cheese - I preferred the spread over the egg & cheese as I felt the latter could have been seasoned more. Overall, simple, no frills local bagel shop with friendly service. I was craving a really good lox bagel and came across this spot on Yelp. We ordered two bagel sandwiches and paid $18 and were very satisfied. Both had fresh ingredients and tasted great! It's a small locale with two employees on a Saturday morning. They had a few tables outside to sit and clearly a good customer base because by 8:15 AM, there was a group waiting for their food with us. There are plenty of trendy bagel spots nearby who will charge $15+ for a bagel which is ridiculous, I much rather come here! Support small businesses! read more

I find it easy to confuse these bagel shops when their names are similar. Not exact, but one word off. Bagel Place Cafe on Lawrence is not to be confused with Bagel Street Cafe on Maude. This one has plenty of parking in the parking lot (shared with other businesses here). You'll find some outdoor seating, out front. There's not much seating inside. You'll find a counter against the wall on the right. The shop has a nice mom and pop feel to it. The people working here are nice. I picked up an assortment of bagels when I stopped by : 2 everything, 1 garlic, 1 onion, 2 sun dried tomato. I love it when bagel shops have sun dried tomato since it's one of my favorites. They also offer bagel sandwiches, and coffee drinks. Prices are fair for the bay area. And if your budget is tight, you'll also find them on Too Good To Go app. read more

There's outdoor tables but otherwise just limited counter seating on thenin I ordered the ham and egg with spinach and mushroom on sesame bagel - which was surprisingly crunchy. The combo was pretty good and hit the spot. I also ordered the strawberry croissant - pretty much as you would expect. Meets the sweet tooth craving - the pastry is moist and crunchy on the outside. Ever since I came back from NY this past summer, I've had a violent craving for bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches. Luckily for me, there's two bagel spots within a stones throw from my work. Been meaning to try this one for a while now but didn't get a chance to do it until recently. For a small and unassuming shop, it actually got quite busy when I was there on a weekday at around 10am. There were only two people working but they were friendly and efficient. The bagels were warm, delicious, and satisfied my craving. 6.50 for egg and cheese is a bit steep. Please update your prices. Outside door menu and inside door menu both say that item A (egg and cheese bagel) is 5.50. If the pricing is old and not updated, then please let the customer know. It is the establishments responsibility to update the prices....not ours to know. If you want to keep small mom and pop shops like this one around, please respect the customers too. It's not only one way. A greeting and pricing that is accurate to your menu would be appreciated. "Hello, I will pay cash" ...."Ok, that would be 6.50" for an item that clearly says 5.50 everywhere. Things like this made you loose a customer, because egg and cheese bagels are available all over Bay Area for under $5. Heck the place in Santa Clara by the library charges 4.75. read more

I either get one of the cheese bagels toasted with egg & cheese + a spread or their turkey croissant sandwich, which they pack with fresh lettuce, tomato, and mayo+light mustard. Our go-to spot for delicious fresh bagels from this mom-and-pop shop! Open early and always friendly. They are located in a small plaza facing lawrence near McDonald's. Their location is nice as it allows for quick access to get back onto the 101 freeway if you are heading to work. You can order in store or through Grub Hub, but we prefer to go in person so they don't lose money to the delivery service. My personal favorite is the bacon and egg on a pesto bagel - fresh, soft, goey, melty cheese with crunchy bacon. The egg is also soft and moist *drools* When we go we usually buy a sandwich to eat that day and a few bagels for the next day or two. You can also buy their cream cheeses in small or large containers to take to-go. They also pack your bagels well and put it in a nice paper bag. Our other favorites are: Bagel Dog- huge hot dog! Asiago Bagel Everything Bagel Garlic and Herb Cream Cheese Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Cheese Thai tea- good and only $3.50 Tip: their bagel sandwiches usually come with cheese Ex: "Bacon and egg bagel" doesn't specify it has cheese, but it does.
