    Sausage Egg Croissant

I was looking for a place to have breakfast and decided on the Bagel Place Cafe, which is located in a strip mall on Lawrence Expwy, close to Oakmead Pkwy. The parking lot is decent and shouldn't be too much of an issue. The small mom and pop store is compact but has a self-serve coffee refill area. A large picture menu board to make ordering easier. 11C. Sausage Egg Croissant with cheese (5/5). The creaminess of the cheese paired well with the fluffy egg and packed with sausage patties. Every bite was a delight. Vietnamese Coffee (cold) 3/5. This seemed too watered down for me and did not have that slight thickness from the condensed milk. Support your local business.

Stopped by Bagel Place Cafe to grab some bagels for the day. Went around 11am on a Saturday and it was not too busy, with there being some indoor and outdoor seating available. I got two Jalapeño Cheese bagels - one with egg & cheese and another with veggie spread and it was ready after 5 minutes. Bagels were pretty standard, and I wish there was more Jalapeño Cheese flavor as it tasted like any regular bagel. Good amount of cream cheese - I preferred the spread over the egg & cheese as I felt the latter could have been seasoned more. Overall, simple, no frills local bagel shop with friendly service. I would consider coming back if I am in need a quick breakfast

I was craving a really good lox bagel and came across this spot on Yelp. We ordered two bagel sandwiches and paid $18 and were very satisfied. Both had fresh ingredients and tasted great! It's a small locale with two employees on a Saturday morning. They had a few tables outside to sit and clearly a good customer base because by 8:15 AM, there was a group waiting for their food with us. There are plenty of trendy bagel spots nearby who will charge $15+ for a bagel which is ridiculous, I much rather come here! Support small businesses!

Found this spot near our hotel. Wanted some bagels for breakfast. Friendly service for sure. Bagels were good. Nice portions. And the cream cheese ratio was good. Drinks weren't the best. But overall it's a mom and pop place with friendly service and overall nice vibe. If you're looking for a quick bagel place ... not a bad spot.

Convenient breakfast spot right off of Lawrence expressway with a broad menu of bagel sandwiches, other pastries, drinks and coffee. There's outdoor tables but otherwise just limited counter seating on thenin I ordered the ham and egg with spinach and mushroom on sesame bagel - which was surprisingly crunchy. The combo was pretty good and hit the spot. I also ordered the strawberry croissant - pretty much as you would expect. Meets the sweet tooth craving - the pastry is moist and crunchy on the outside. Great find - in an area where there's not a ton of breakfast options (the most important meal of the day) because I think many techies don't eat breakfast or wake up too late :) That's all.

Blueberry crunch bagel with jalapeño cream cheese (I know it sounds funky but honestly goes so well together)

The prices haven't changed much since I started coming around 3-4 years ago. Plus they are still generous with filling for sandwiches. I don't bother going anywhere else for breakfast sandwiches anymore! Blueberry crunch is my fave bagel here and the croissants are huge!!

I love the bagels and quality of the service. It's a small mom and pop bagel place. They have a good variety of sandwiches, bagels, cream cheeses, smoothies and coffee.

Found this place and it is honestly incredible. Everything is very fresh and handmade. The owners are very nice and make everything by hand. The avocados are fresh and so is the meat. It will definitely be back !

Wanted to grab a quick bite before running some errands in the morning. I was craving bagels and this place came up that was nearby. It's a cute little spot in a plaza on Lawrence. The service was very nice and welcoming. I thought I was gonna get some bagels but I saw that they had crossaint sandwiches too, and I saw one with chorizo... I just had to try it. It was a great sandwich, very fresh and not a greasy. I will def be coming back here.

I love bagels so even though it was dinnertime, I chose to come here instead of the nearby food stores for a quick dinner before an event. Upon entering I saw they had a lot of different options on the menu, with pictures included so you could see what they looked like, which is so helpful and convenient especially since I had to take it to go. The lady working there was very nice too and made the food fast. I got an egg bagel with turkey, cream cheese, and egg (yes, it was absolutely delicious)! I also got some milk on the side and it was an awesome dinner, would totally come back!

The bagels here are so good and fresh and the costumers service was amazing can't wait to come back!!

After returning from my NYC trip, I was inspired to seek out local bagel shops in search of bagel…read morethat are as good as the ones I had when I visited NYC. I did a search and found Bagel Street Cafe. It's located in the shopping center at the corner of Mathilda & Maude... sandwiched between Marty's Donuts on the left and KFC on the right. I stopped by to pick up some bagels to take home. It wasn't busy when I stopped by just before noon. There was one lady worknig there and she was super nice. I made the mistake of assuming that bagels on the shelves matched the flavor sign on the glass in front of the shelves. This is certainly not the case. I saw bagels behind the Super Combo and Onion signs. So I asked for some Super Combo bagels and some Onion bagels. The lady then told me that they were out of Onion bagels (and here I am thinking "but wait, I see bagels on the shelf behind the Onion sign). She then tells me that the bagels I see on the Onion shelf are 3 other flavors, Pesto, Spinach and I think she said the third one was Asiago. The Pesto and Spinach shelves appeared empty (on the right side, see photo). Well this is certainly confusing. So my tip to you is to not go by the bagels you see on the shelves. This is not the indicator of what flavors the have in stock. Just look at all the flavor signs and then ask for the ones you want to get. They could have a flavor in stock even if that shelf looks empty. And a flavor could be out of stock even if that shelf has bagels on it. I ended up picking up half dozen bagels (Super Combo, Pesto, and Spinach flavors). I had the Pesto and Spinach bales toasted with cream cheese. And I made sandwiches with the Super Combo bagels. I enjoyed all of them. I will have to go back and try some of their other flavors. There isn't a lot of seating inside, a few tables inside and 2 outside. I think most people take it to go. There's plenty of parking at this shopping center. Didn't see a restroom for customers. Not a big deal since I'm local. But it's something to consider if you're traveling and want to stop here for a bite to eat as you pass through the area. I know it's common practice to want to stop for both food and a comfort stop when traveling. Plus it would be nice having the ability wash hands after eating.

The Santa Clara shop is minimalistic and utilitarian, with a large open bakery and racks of bagels everywhere. Despite the pizza bagels and $6 iced matcha lattes, it feels like a real bagel shop. Service is efficient, and you can place an order and be out the door in five minutes. Most importantly, the bagels have holes, crust and chew. The exterior is glossy and properly browned, the crumb is tight and substantial, and they're generous with the schmear. This is not a giant, pale, puffy roll covered with bagel seasoning. I asked for a well-done bagel and was offered one double-toasted. "No! When was it baked?" "Like two hours ago." "Then just cut it in half, my God." The drip coffee is proper drip coffee, too. No espresso-machine nonsense. The bad news is the price. Bagels are $3.25 each, with every twelfth bagel free, and chive cream cheese adds another $2.50. Very good, but at that price it would be an occasional single-bagel treat rather than a regular dozen-bagel order.

My friend got the sweet corn bagel and the jalapeño bagel, while I got the Cali Roll bagel. With all the hype around this place, I was expecting the flavors to be a lot more pronounced. The bagels are around $8-9 each, so they're definitely on the pricier side, but they are generously stuffed. The sweet corn bagel had plenty of corn and a noticeable sweetness, but the overall flavor was still pretty mild. The jalapeño bagel had pickled jalapeños throughout, which gave it a nice acidity and some spice. The Cali Roll was a little disappointing for me. I expected it to have a lot of flavor, but it was surprisingly mild. There was definitely plenty of filling, which I appreciated, but I just wanted the flavors to be stronger. Overall, I think the bagels are worth trying at least once, especially because they're so generously filled. There are actually a few other ones I wanted to try, especially the garlic bagel and scallion chili oil bagel, so I'd probably come back to give those a try.

After my half-year in the Bay Area, I frequently find myself craving a good NYC-style bagel, and, while Boichik Bagels hasn't _quite_ cracked the code, they've gotten pretty darn close. Their bagels are delightfully dense and slightly chewy, with a great snap from the crust. They're a little bit heavier than my average NYC bagel, but they've definitely mastered the NYC-style ginormous schmear of cream cheese and/or loaded breakfast sandwich. I've enjoyed their bagels in both sandwich form (huge fan of the whitefish salad with cucumbers and tomatoes for a more protein-rich / substantive meal) and with just a generous helping of cream cheese (of which they have quite a few flavors, including several vegan options). They don't have a _ton_ of bagel flavors, but they do have all the classics. Boichik also has a surprising love for pumpernickel; while the classic pumpernickel is delicious, I'm a huge fan of their pumpernickel caraway salt for a bit of extra herb flavor and savoriness. The staff is friendly and efficient. While there isn't any seating inside, there's a smattering of tables outside or you can always snag a seat elsewhere in Town & Country.
