This has been consistently the best takeout sushi in the area. I have had disappointing sashimi from other places here, some even resulting in gastric distress, but never from Daily Sushi. Not only is their fish always fresh, but their portions are generous, and they allow you to modify the sides. I dislike ginger on my fish, and this is literally the only place I don't have to worry that a wonderful piece of salmon will be marred by the taste of ginger. The hours here are fantastic, as we often order after work which can be 9 or 10, and their Chinese options are super solid as well. I just realized I haven't sent in this review before and it's been sitting in queue unfinished for over a year. I was coming here to update, but I still love this place so much. I had a carryout order and they forgot one of the many boxes of white rice. I have not even unpacked the bag at my house to serve when I got a call from them. They offered to send out a delivery driver. I told him that was ridiculous that I would come and get it because it's only a box of rice and that seems like a waste of a delivery driver. In the meantime, my kid had tried the chicken teriyaki and had housed the whole serving of it and finding anything that my picky eater will devour is a blessing so I went and ordered another order of it since I was going to be going back anyway. When I arrived, they had my order they asked. Did you order another order and I said yes the kid loved the chicken teriyaki so much. I had to get more.. She said oh good. I have something else for you and handed me a whole additional dish that I did not order this time, but having in the past. They are so thoughtful, the customer service is top-tier, and the quality of food and serving size is top-notch. We love this place. We will not stop going here. I have been to Daily Sushi SO many times because it is THAT good. First - their food prices are incredibly low but they do not sacrifice on quality! I was skeptical of the low prices but when the sushi came out, I was so thrilled to see perfectly cooked rice, not too much rice, and lots of fish with large rolls. The fish was super fresh, and they make California rolls with kani/crab salad the way I like it. My favorite rolls are california roll, salmon avocado, and the spicy girl roll. My favorite special rolls are: Tokyo roll, Goldfish Roll, No 99 roll, Pink Lady, Rainbow roll...too many to name! It's worth mentioning that they have all-you-can eat option every day from 12-5pm. It's on a smaller menu that you order a la carte from, but it includes regular rolls, special rolls, appetizers, soups, desserts, and some Chinese entrees. It's $26 per person and such a fantastic value. We also enjoyed their Chinese food and have tried General Tso's chicken and crab rangoon (called crispy crab and shrimp wontons on the menu). Only thing we haven't liked here was the bibimbap (missing a bunch of vegetables and heavy on the rice). I am a little skeptical to try the Thai and Korean food options after the bibimbap. The gyoza and pork dumplings were good though. It is a casual unassuming sushi spot with plenty of seating inside. The service here is nice as well but you order food at the counter - the owner Cheng is SOO nice!! Miso soup has unlimited refills when you dine in. Honestly was pleasantly surprised, their all you can eat sushi was fairly priced for the food quality which was pretty nice. Friendly staff who always provided services when needed and had a very nice eating atmosphere. If you're ever in the area and want a quick bite or want a place to eat with friends I'd say this is a great choice, especially with how expensive other sushi restaurants have become. read more

On the recommendation of our children, we decided to try out Daily Sushi for lunch. We placed an order for 3 lunch specials ($7.99 each) and a quart of Wonton soup ($4.75) for carry out. Our order was ready when we arrived. The staff very friendly and polite. I tend to judge Chinese restaurants based on their Wonton soup. Theirs was loaded with wontons in a delicious broth. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Sesame Chicken that came with fried rice and a pork egg roll. I ordered the Shrimp with mixed vegetables also with fried rice and a pork egg roll. Unfortunately, I did not like the flavor in the fried rice and the shrimp were mealy tasting. The egg rolls were large, crisp and delicious. We also ordered a Cashew Shrimp with fried rice and a pork egg roll. The portions are generous. We had more than enough for our lunch and dinner. I have gone here several times and since my most recent visit this weekend- it has been some time... we went frequently when they first opened and offered all you can eat sushi everyday but since they've discontinued it we go every so often. We ordered a la carte and for what we got it was about $75 not including tip. We adjusted the cost slightly by doing the lunch specials with the sushi rolls which included a miso soup. So if you eat a lot that may be the better option for you! We also just tried the seafood yaki soba and not too bad. It was a little salty for my liking. Love the sushi here. Always great service and delivery. I stopped in for a cheat dayand ordered some sushi. I ordered my favorites, California roll, shrimp and crab roll, and shrimp tempura. Also I ordered 1 shrimp and 1 beef egg foo yung lunch special. Once hubby got home, we sat down for dinner. As soon as I opened the containers, the gravy was found separate from the meal which typically comes on top of most meals elsewhere. But once I tasted the gravy, I found out I really didn't like it. I didn't have a full meal here because I have a habit of picking random sushi places to order one roll as an on the road snack. Most of the time, it's due to convenience and because I don't trust many random sushi establishments. So a snack is a fun and low commitment way to try out sushi restaurant This look of the building doesn't give you high hopes at all but my salmon roll was FRESH. I am always mentally prepared for raw fish that tastes...fishy or frozen (not what I want but I have to mentally prepare). This was not the case though! When I walked in to pick up my take out order, the chefs were busy preparing sushi, probably for other to go orders, though there were not a lot of customers eating in. However, my husband and I had a taste for Chinese food, read the great reviews of Daily Sushi, and ordered kung pao chicken (I know, Chinese food for Americans), egg rolls, and pork dumplings. The kung pao was sort of OK (though they don't give you much rice), but not delicious. The dumplings (gummy, overcooked) and egg roll (the inside s just mush) verged on inedible, and the dipping sauce for the dumplings had way too much vinegar. After spending twenty-some dollars on an unpleasant meal, especially after the good reviews, we were disappointed My husband and I moved here from Houston, Texas where there are large East Asian communities and good Chinese restaurants. We have not found one decent Chinese restaurant, so our hunt for just decent Chinese food will have to continue. The looks of this place may be deceiving and I'll admit I was a little skeptical but the sushi was amazing. I placed an online delivery order so I've never been inside this establishment, only driven past it several times. They make the California rolls with the krab mix versus a krab stick which I am so grateful for. I also had a roll, the name escapes me, but there was real crab and shrimp inside the roll. Look, stick to the sushi. They got a whole lot-a other things you can get, but if you do, it's mediocre at best. Thai food? Seriously lacking heat, Korean fried rice? Under seasoned. Chinese food, meh. Now the sushi, most of the basic stuff, it's pretty good. Rolls are appropriate size or bigger. They don't over load on rice or filler except for the spicy rolls. Seems like they use scrape, it's texture isn't my favorite. Good news is that they always seem busy, so the seafood turns over fast, and it's tastes fresh. The one or two fancy rolls we've ordered were also pretty good. Like the name says, you can feel like you can eat here daily vs the more expensive spots around town. If you're looking for delish sushi at a great price, you've got to head to Daily Sushi! Husband heard from a coworker about the $20 all you can eat sushi special, so we headed up to Parkville with empty bellies on date night. The pricing is extremely reasonable across the board- special rolls are $10, regular rolls are $6, all the nigiri is $4 for two pieces. SO. If you're going to do the all you can eat, do it right and go straight for the special rolls. Was surprised and happy to see lobster and real crab meat on the menu. We ended up getting six rolls- one with lobster salad, Golden Dragon rolls (shrimp tempura with mango), a New York roll (eel and crab meat), eel avocado, Ocean roll (tuna, salmon, yellowtail), and a special off menu roll the lady at the counter recommended with tempura topped with tuna, avocado, and more of that delicious mango! Next time we are going to leave the ordering up to her, as her recommendation was the best. There was a steady stream of carry out and deliver orders which kept the staff busy. We were the only dine in on a Wednesday night. They are a newish restaurant (opened in February) and are keeping prices low with efficiency. The decor is not much to speak of- it feels more like a carry out place that happens to have some tables. The only disappointment was the ratio of ingredients in the rolls. The lobster salad was tick- maybe 1/3" on top of the roll. The eel avocado was 7/8 avocado and 1/8 eel, which was disappointing. They have a lot more on the menu besides sushi- I saw Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and American fried food all on the menu It's not fancy, but the sushi is good, fish is fresh, and the staff is very nice. Not quite as besotted by Daily Sushi as some of my fellow Yelpers. It may be because we choose to eat in, and it's apparent that DS is mainly carry out. It also may be that we sort of went out of our way to go there, and while it might be great if it's ten or fifteen minutes away, it's not quite a destination. Or, it could be that I had been craving sushi, and DS just didn't quite scratch that itch. Daily Sushi didn't put its best foot forward food-wise, either. I tried both wonton and miso soup. The wonton soup broth was mild, and the wontons mostly wrappers with some stir fried piece of beef. The miso also suffered from being too subtle, and was lacking that great umami that normally makes that soup so craveable. The first dish up was one of my dining companion's General Tso's chicken. This lunch special was the winner of the afternoon. The dish was great, and it came with some of the best fried rice I've ever had. It was also a generous portion at a fair price. Other dining companion had Salmon Lover's combo meal. He was pleased with the salmon sashimi, but underwhelmed by the many little rolls that made up the dish. I had the lunch special of two regular rolls. The California roll was a good size, and a good amount a filling to rice, however the filling itself wasn't well proportioned and it had way, way too much surimi. It really needed the crunch of the cucumber and that was hard to find. The eel and cucumber roll was nothing special. A few pet peeves: While we were greeting when we entered, we got menus and seated ourselves. We were told someone would take our order. When that person didn't materialize, we had to ask again and ordered at the counter. Also, while food came on actual, non-disposable plates, we were given plastic utensils. (Wood in the case of chopsticks.) It would be nice if they took the extra step and had washable, reusable forks, knives, spoons, and chopsticks. They need to wash the dishes anyway! And finally, while I'll need to go elsewhere to fill that sushi craving, I plan to return when I'm in the area for American-Chinese food. Will update when I do.
