Quick sum-up review just to say that my previous review still stands from several years back. Still a favorite place of mine for hot dogs, burgers, and milkshakes. They stay busy so the food is always hot and fresh, the price is right, especially given what big chain fast food wants for a way worse product these days. It's a fairly big place, so you can almost always get a seat indoors... even if they are busy, the line moves quick. Only things I would change, I feel like they could simplify the menu and make things even more affordable. I have literally never seen anyone order half the things on there, most people stick to the burgers, dogs, chicken, and ice cream. Other thing I don't love, christian rock music on repeat in there, not that you can USUALLY hear it with the ambient noise. It's their values, and ultimately, would not stop me from coming, just would be nice to change up the tunes. But, again, perfect hot dogs. Great tasting frank, buttered and grilled bun, cole slaw that isn't mayo heavy, chili that is meat only and not overly spiced to dominate. Wonderful. read more

It's been a hot minute since I visited this location. The visit went smoothly - ordered immediately, received food quickly, it was hot, fresh and delicious. Ladies' room was clean. You seriously cannot go wrong with dairios. I always get the Carolina style burger with mustard slaw, ketchup,chilli and onions. It was my first time going to a Dairi-o. I must say, I was quite pleased. The two hotdog combo was really quite good. I got mine all the way with mustard, chili, and slaw. The hotdogs were very mildly, but pleasantly seasoned. The chili was very meaty, and the slaw was sweet, just like I like it. I got the crinkle cut fries extra crispy, which they were, and the insides were soft and fluffy. I wish I would have gotten a milk shake to go along with my meal. A favorite stop when I'm driving through Kernersville. The team here is great, the restaurant is always very clean, including the restrooms and the food is high quality and tasty. I enjoy both their hotdogs and hamburgers served with mustard, chili, slaw and onions. The hamburger has a good beef flavor, the chili is also well seasoned and adds to the sandwich without overpowering it. However, the real thing to me is they pay attention to the details that matter to customers. They are always well staffed, the staff are all in uniform, they are friendly, there is constant monitoring of the dining area and all of this is done with friendliness and courtesy. So, good food, good prices, excellent people and a consistently good experience has me coming back regularly! read more

In town for the weekend and this was super close to where I was located! Thought would give it a try. Was pleasantly surprised! Food came out hot and fresh! My burger had to be corrected but they did it with no complaints and apologized profusely. They have great ambiance, a few large screen tvs, tons of seating. They have burgers, hot dogs (even turkey), and tons of sides. Even have a whole ice cream case with soft serve and hand scooped ice cream with many toppings to choose from! The food is a step above fast food quality, but given that this is still a (classy?) fast food joint with the lighting and commercial coloring, I can't go above 3 stars even though they might deserve 3.5. Tried this location again for lunch the other day. This time I had the monster burger combo with seasoned fries. I'm a simple guy and only like mustard, onion, and pickle on my burger. The burger patty was smashed flat and crispy on both sides even warm enough to melt the cheese. The fries were good and had a seasoned salt seasoning on them. The fries were very fresh as I could tell they were just made. Every time I come here I'm amazed by the service of the staff as they really care about making your experience great. This restaurant evidently had its Drive Thru re-modeled, and it is nothing short of a DISASTER. Whoever at their Corporate Headquarters that authorized this re-model needs to be sent to the unemployment line. They have 2 lines to place orders, and you can only pay for your order in the first line. That is BEYOND stupid. Dairy-O should take a lesson from one of their competitors ( Chic Fillet) and have some of their people OUTSIDE the restaurant taking payments so they can get their customers their food more quickly.No one wants to sit in a Drive Thru for 10-15 minutes, but that's what you get with the Kernersville Dairi-O. I honestly don't understand how and why this place is always so crowded. (Very loud) They frequently mess up our orders, whether we're dining in or going through the drive-through. The last time, I specifically asked if they had double-checked and provided details about our order. They assured me they had. Unfortunately, when we got home, we discovered that the order in the bag was not ours--nothing in it matched what we had ordered. When I returned it, I requested a refund. The manager offered to remake the order instead of providing a refund. Mistakes happen, but how management handles them determines the quality of the business and my willingness to overlook their errors. The manager was quite rude and condescending. I tried to offer him some advice on how he might have handled the situation better, but he accused me of shutting him down, which was untrue. I spoke to him kindly. A simple response like, "Yes, ma'am. That's good advice," or "What can I do to make things right this time for you?" would have been appropriate, but he didn't respond that way. Instead, he was accusatory and snippy. I just don't think I'll go back after his behavior. We have too many other options in Kernersville. read more

We stop here from time to time while driving through the area. We are always greeted with excellent service and delicious food. Prices and portions are reasonable. Typically we use the drive thru. Occasionally we will order inside and use the restroom. The inside of the restaurant is kept clean. Expect longer wait times soon after they open since they prepare the food fresh. Later in the day around lunch time, there is a line. However, the line moves reasonably quickly. The employees at Dairi-O are efficient workers and excellent communicators. You can hear them clearly and they are good at asking you questions to ensure you receive the orders exactly how you want them. Most recently I ordered a chicken souvlaki and sweet potato fries. Went to Dairi-o for our first time for ice cream. I am a big fan of Cook Out milkshakes and I thought my Dairi-o milkshake was even better. The texture was perfect and the ice cream was creamy and delicious. My kids and my wife all enjoyed their ice creams in various cups and cones. The staff was patient kind and friendly, as it took us a while to figure out what everyone wanted to order. The restaurant was super clean and well decorated. Parking was super easy too read more

I love Dairi-O ! This is a delicious local chain (I wish there was one in Greensboro). I went thru the drive thru for lunch and got the two hot dog combo with delicious crinkle fries and Pepsi to drink. I got one hot dog all the way and the other with ketchup mustard and onions. The have the proper raw, white, diced onions here which are PERFECT on a hot dog. They have staff outside that takes your order on a tablet which is a pretty good service model (like Chick Fil A).
