Really disappointed in the lack of care and service received. I will not be back after this. Spent almost $30 just to be able to eat 1/3 of my order. I ordered a cookout tray and then 2 walking tacos without lettuce (for my son), then 2 orders of chicken nuggets and 2 orders of cheese curds. The walking tacos were covered in lettuce.. therefore thrown out because my 11 year old hates lettuce. The 2 orders of cheese curds for him weren't even in the bag. Thankfully my child ate the nuggets, saving me a trip back down the highway. I'm just overly disappointed at the lack of quality assurance. The food is normally great but I just figured out why they have 3 stars. We went on a busy Wednesday night, I got a 3 peace chicken tender tray, double cheese bites and a tea. My friend got Cajun chicken tray with a bacon wrap and a walking taco and a side of jalepeno fry's. We waited in line for a good while until we got our food. We got home, my order was right but the 3 chicken tenders was more like 2. My friend ACTUALLY got some burger with chile, slaw, and onion, and a Chicken wrap. He got his walking taco. We understand they were rushing with orders so he didn't get mad, he still ate his food. We just wish we got what we paid for. 12am he wakes up with food poisoning. F'd up you got me downloading Yelp just to rate you. My 2nd time coming to Cook Out chain. If I'd base my experience off of this one place I wouldn't cone back. Ordered the House Style burger and they put a dab of this quesadilla sauce on there. I asked them for more because it was too small and they wanted to charge me for it saying they're only allowed to put a certain amount on the sandwich. I've been here a few times late at night after driving around looking for food . The food is always good and it's pretty darn cheap . Where else are two people going to eat for under $14 bucks ? Carolina fast food at it's finest. We rolled up with two carloads of cousins, on the day after Christmas, SUPER hungry. The local cousins gave us the lowdown on how to best order. My sister and I split a cookout tray with a double burger, fries, hush puppies and an Oreo mint milkshake (only $1 extra for the milkshake). Seemed like all of our orders were out in about 5 minutes. There's nowhere to sit outside so we took our food home. It's fast food, so that aspect is pretty standard. It was pretty good though! Hit the spot when we were all hungry and wanted food that was reasonably priced. Ticked all those boxes for sure! read more

I ordered unsweet tea, get up to the register and ask again if its unsweet. The girl said yes, gave me my food w/o napkins and a straw and shorted me $14 in change. I got the correct change, but ended up with no straw, no napkin and SWEET tea. I gave the tea away. WORKERS need to pay attention to the orders and make sure they are correct. Cook Out seems to stay busy no matter where you are & what time of day it is. Milo & I were headed home home to Mooresville last Friday night & about 8 PM I was starving at craving Cook Out. Thankfully, their billboards on the sides of the interstate are always helpful. They're pretty much right off 85. Getting in & out was a bit troublesome. And the lines on both ordering sides were long. I waited a good 5-8 minutes before I could even order. Upon ordering, it didn't take long for me to get to the window to get my food. I did get in the line where the window was on my passenger side, so it was a feat to get my drink & food. Parking is limited should you choose to use the walk up window. I've eaten at Cook Outs in the area for thirty years. Never had a bad or questionable experience. Got to be the top in "fast food" in the Triad area. Extremely consistent quality, large portions, great shakes, burgers and dogs. Super fries. Lots of toppings. Usually quick, fast service. Used to be good but now it is just nasty. I went there and ordered 2 hamburger plates. When I got to the pickup window they handed me 2 opened plates, no bag and no napkins. When I got them home the hambers were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. I threw them in the trash. I paid 18 dollars and some change for the plates. They will never get to cheat me again. Just simply outstanding food, no matter what you get. The hamburgers here are hand cooked and of the old-fashioned style with whatever trimmings you would like. One of the few places around to be able to get grilled onions on a hamburger and all their other sandwiches as well. The chicken sandwiches, grilled or fried, is just as out of sight as the hamburgers and hotdogs. They also have chicken tenders that are super, one of my favorites anywhere. The fries and onion rings are the best in town and they have several other sides, even fried okra. Check out the sandwich trays they offer as they are the best combo deals I've ever seen. I adore cookout. I never thought that I would ever find a fast food joint that I liked better than chic-fil-a until now. I love it so much. My bf always raved about cookout but I had no idea it was that damn delicious. Driving through North Carolina over the weekend I spotted one and I had to stop in. I ordered a 1/8 cheeseburger and a combo which came with a drink, chicken wrap, and a bbq sandwich with hot sauce and coleslaw on it and we chose onion rings as a side. I ate the cheeseburger first and it was the best I have ever had. It reminded me of childhood bbqs which were so fun. I finished it in about 2 seconds. I cringed when my bf asked for a bite. The bbq sandwich was perfection and it reminded me of why I could never give up pork for anything in the world. The combo and extra sandwich came up to $6 dollars, a complete steal for the quality. The next time I'm in the area I am going to try the hot dog and milkshake. I hate road trips but am looking forward to the next one just so i can get my cookout fix. read more

DRIVE THRU ONLY!! I was half way through my twelve hour drive and all I wanted was a nice place to sit down and relax and enjoy a delicious meal. When I saw the sign for Cookout, I thought it would be the perfect stop. However, much to my dismay, I arrived to find it only to be a drive-thru.
