I've eaten take out here 2 separate times and was impressed considering take out isn't always as good as dine in. I had the burger and fries both times. The burger is plenty big but most importantly flavorful. They have a large menu and lots of sides to choose from. One time I tried the sweet potato fries, the other time I choose regular. Both were equally good. I thought the prices were reasonable and I look forward to trying additional items on the menu in the future. Only suggestion I have on the business aspect is updating the website menu compared to what's listed online in other places. Also the option to order online or the phone seems obsolete. That was frustrating on my end when I plan on getting take out. It's nice to avoid the wait. I ended up going in to the restaurant to wait and noticed there are some inconsistencies with what's online and what's on their actual menu. Checked out Cross Ties per a recommendation as a date night last week. Somewhere new we hadn't been, and not really a direction we typically head, but it did not disappoint. The menu is very southern, semi comfort food themed. Seemingly a lot of great choices, which makes it hard to pick. Service was friendly, and quick to answer any menu related questions we had. Though we didn't indulge, they appeared to have a full bar. I ended up order the meatloaf, with Mac and cheese and fried okra, my girlfriend tried the smothered chicken with a tomato pie side. My go-to place for carryout, however trying to dine-in on an hour lunch seems rather impossible--plan on at least 1.5 hours for dine-in service. The staff is friendly and plenty if food options that are delicious. I tried their BLT sans mayo & added pimento cheese. The wait staff was attentive and sent back my sandwich because it had mayo. The only change I would make is adding extra bacon. The onion straws were like pasta--very difficult to eat as they're long, thin, and stringy. Recommend using a fork. A co-worker says the mashed potatoes were real potatoes and tasty--they would order it again. Great place for lunch if you don't have time constraints. read more

Just moved into downtown Thomasville and I was looking for some decent places to eat around the area. I'm glad I found this place. The waitress was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the bulgogi burger with a side of tomato pie and it was GREAT (the pie was outstanding). Their beer selection also had a few more than the typical run of the mill restaurants, so that's always a plus. I'll definitely be coming back! Update: Second time here, same results. Great location. Ambiance needs work. Can we please dial the lights back about 30%? And - how about some nice music on those speakers? Jazz, maybe. The food was good, although one person in our group had his second in a row tough fillet. If you have to saw the steak, it's a cheap cut of meat. They had a great brunch menu the waffles were made with a batter that was sweet you hardly needed any syrup. I ate here about two weeks ago and had the meat loaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. The meat loaf had crispy onions on top with some BBQ sauce. It was fantastic! My wife had the pork chop and mac-n-cheese and potatoes, she thought it was amazing. We were so excited to go back!!!! Fast forward to yesterday, 2/27/20, we went to cross ties with some family from out of town and was hoping for another excellent experience....WRONG! Our waiter was awful from the beginning to the end. The food was awful as well. The best part of the meal was the fried pickles! DO NOT get the pimento cheese, it's greasy and was cold in the middle. We had to send it back and get a new one which wasn't worth it. Again it was so greasy I didn't eat it. Our waiter didn't bring our appetizers together either we had them about 15 minutes apart. Our waiter couldn't answer any questions we had about the menu and would stop other waiters/waitress as they walked by to ask them about their menu! He even left a few times to go ask.....We finally ordered.....our waiter was frazzled and had a hard time keeping up with water refills. I had the meat loaf again hoping for the same first experience and it was not. It had a bunch of onions in it, was barely warm and no crispy onions on top this time but a large onion ring on top instead. The potatoes were ok but not warm. I had the fried okra and it was actually good. My wife had the flounder that was suppose to be stuffed with seafood (or at least that is what the menu said)...it was a stuffing type mixture and it was mushy and gross. Not to mention the fish was uncooked and smelled horribly "fishy." When fish stinks that means it's old. She didn't eat it but she didn't send it back either. It took forever to get our food so she was hoping for a good desert instead. The waiter said they had chocolate cake so she ordered that but a sponge/mousse style cake came out instead. It was definitely boxed from somewhere and not homemade! It was bad as well. Our friends had the smothered chicken, a pasta dish and shrimp and grits. I think they were being nice and eating what they could but no one enjoyed their meal because a ton of food was left on plates. We had to ask the waiter to clear our plates because obviously that wasn't going to happen if we didn't ask! Honestly this was such a disappointment that WE won't go back! Thought Thomasville was going to have a good restaurant for once and it didn't last. If they changed the cook.....go back to him/her because now this place is awful!!!! read more
