This is one of Winnipeg's best burger spots. But wasn't a fan of the fries, not bad just they can do way better. But dislike how they only do cash. Places need to start carrying debit machines nowadays. Otherwise it's worth trying! read more

I took a wild guess and decided to try Chocolate and pina colada milkshake flavors mixed together and loved the taste! It was sweet and a bit lime-y. The cashier guy was very nice. I asked him how many flavors I could pick for the milkshake and he said two. That was very nice of him! For 6$ something milkshakes it's worth trying! Next time I might try the lime milkshake flavor...What an interesting flavor to have available! read more

I have been going to Dairy Whip for 40 years and it was always my favourite place for fries and hotdogs. However, I was very disappointed with both their service and their quality of food when we ordered two hotdogs and two fries this week. We preordered and were told that the order would be ready in ten minutes. When we got there 20 minutes later, we had to wait another 25 minutes. Besides this, the food was horrible. Our hotdogs were inedible and even though we tried to eat them, we ended up throwing them away. The pickles in them were extremely thin and wilted, the weiners seemed smaller, and the buns were awful. The fries were cold and dry. Costco's hotdogs at $1.50 are better than what we had in comparison to Dairy Whip. Needless to say we will not be returning there. It's unfortunate because they used to be such a treat, but now they are just a big disappointment! read more

+.5 for service Yup. This is definitely one of the better fat boy joints in the city. I came here recently and ordered a late night fat boy. Prices were definitely reasonable, in fact maybe even lower than average since there's minimal overhead costs here. Their fat boys are really well done. Their patties were cooked perfectly, the chili sauce was plentiful (but not overpowering), and the size was huge. I heard a lot about their chili fries, however I didn't end up ordering them. Perhaps next time. Owners were very friendly. I'll definitely return if I'm nearby and craving a fat boy. read more

My husband and I make a special trip (or two) every time we are in town. Definitely the best of Winnipeg, but arguably the best burgers I have ever had. Go for the fatboy and you get a tasty burger topped with a huge amount of fresh veggies including a whole pickle! Their shoestring fries are amazing and I can't visit without having a chocolate shake to wash it down. I'm from Calgary. The burger was very fresh and home-made tasting while the chili-fries were super awesome. For all intents and practical purposes we don't have chili in Calgary, so it was a delight to eat here. I give Dairi Wip 5 stars because I can't imagine passing through the neighbourhood and not stopping here. read more

Has chilli with onion, mustard and a quarter of a pickle on top. I eat the pickle and then the dog. Delicious. This is my favourite hot dog on the planet so far.
