Come to this place a lot for my family. Since we live two blocks over. Never, have I ever felt so humiliated because of the cashier name Lisa that works there. I walked in to get an order I had placed for pick up. I had told Lisa right away that if she can change the gravy order to ranch (it's for my daughter) she said with an ugly attitude "well we already made it".. so I just thought oh well I'll just pay the extra and get the ranch any way.. so when she came back I apologized to her for making her feel as if she needed to respond to me that way.. she just kind of said "yeah ok!" Still with small attitude... so I asked her why the hostile manner towards me and her response was "I yelled at her" which is not true because there were several people who got inline behind me.. so I try to apologize again. Maybe I was being a little deaf tone. Sometimes I cannot recognize the volume level in my voice and I notified her about this and see didn't care. She was ready for me to get out of her sight... I think it's safe to say. It will be a very long time before I come back here! read more

While visiting our son at Blinn we would drive by and the Dairy Bar was always busy. We always drove by after the football games at it was closed. This visit we waited to have lunch until we got to Brenham and made the trip. Our son had the burger (he said he likes the double meat), we had steak fingers (yummy!) our Littles has chicken nuggets (very similar to McDonalds). The fries were good too. We saw another table who had fried fish and we definitely wished we had ordered that. read more

OK listen...this place isn't 5 Guys nor is it In-N-Out Burger but for a small town local joint it is GREAT! Located right off the 290, where visitors are sure to miss it, sits this little unassuming joint. I don't care if the girl behind the counter is wearing shorts and flip flops, I ma here for some good food and i wasn't disappointed. WOW what a burger...the bacon, jalapeno, cheeseburger with onion rings and a vanilla Blue Bell shake... The burger had a very meaty flavor, add in the rest of the toppings and it made for some deliciosness. Served on a lightly toasted fresh bun in a, welcomed, triangle bag, it cut down on the mess :) The onion rings were awesome. Hand battered, fired perfectly. No pulling the onion out of this ring on the first bite...good, fresh and hot to the last one went down. YUMMY The shake?!? Well can I say welcome to Blue Bell Country??!! it was off the hook. My buddy had the chocolate malt and he couldn't agree with me more. (the rest of his order was the same as mine.) Done, full and out the door for $8 and you can call it a day. I'm strictly basing this rating on the burgers, as we only had burgers and tots. The place was packed (only about 10 tables in this small, locals spot). Nothing pretty to look at for sure...it looked like an '80s Dairy Queen that had not been updated. The lines were long, the drive thru was long and I can see why. The burgers are huge! And what a great value...$3.50 for a 1/2 lb. burger. A restaurant first: I ordered a double meat, not knowing how big these were, and for the first time in forever, I had to remove the second behemoth of a patty cuz there was no way I could get my mouth around the 5 inch high burger with 2 patties. This burger will go down as one of the top 20 I've ever had. No frills, just normal fixins', but wow was it perfect! It was only 11:00am, but the parking lot was full of trucks with Duck Dynasty stickers on the rear winders. You know those meals that you'll always remember? This was one of 'em. Follow up this burger with a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream from Blue Bell, and you cannot beat it. read more

This is the best burgers with out any question. Anyone that would even both paying for a burger any where else is wasting their money. For 10 dollars you can get a Phat burger great fries and super thick shake. and not need to eat again for the rest on the day. And let me tell you I can kill a 1lb Fudruck's burger with fries covered in cheese and still be hungry for diner. When a burger is this big and this good it will satisfy every bit of your appetite and make you remember (crave) for it when you think of a burger. If you are close you better come get you one. I've been going to the dairy bar a very long time. Usually we've never had bad service and it wasn't even really that busy one of the girls saw us standing there and looked dead at us and just avoided us until another girl came along to help I got their about 6:30 and waited 30 minutes on a salad and a chicken strip basket on top of that I didn't even get any silverware it was a little ridiculous . All of the tables had practically empty ketchup bottles on them. The service just sucked tonight!! read more

Stopped here on our way from Houston to Fredericksburg based on the yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! RIGHT off the highway. I thought I may have to get a double burger because, based on the price, I was afraid the single patty wouldn't be enough. But then I looked around and saw how huge the patties are. Glad I got the regular hamburger! My boyfriend got the double and it was a challenge. Also, a good mark if you're eating a good burger is if it tastes good without cheese. This one was great.
