Biscuits and gravy with hash browns.

The steak fingers are amazing! Super tender! Mac and cheese was just ok but I'm particular.

Normally this is one of my favorite places....not lately. Food is overly greasy. Fries under cooked. Chicken tender batter didn't have any seasoning... and to get home and not have everything. Defeats the purpose of eating out if you have to make stuff at home to go with it. If you're out of something, simply tell the customer and offer something else. Even my toast was a hamburger bun soaked in either butter or grease. Either way I wouldn't even feed it to my dog.

Chicken fried steak , mashed potatoes, salad , Mac and cheese

Food was disgusting, the server was very rude and told me I had to pay for the food bc they didn't do anything wrong, I could see the worker at the front talking about me and making rude faces I am a manager as well so I know how these things work I offered to pay for the things I ate and she rolled her eyes and walked away. I payed 26 dollars for the only thing I ate was cheese sticks.

    Wonderful hand breaded

The dishes there are large portions with each dish as good as could be. Served by friendly staff every time. I have been coming here for four years and I have never been disappointed. The prices fit the quality and size.Try the desserts for a delicious end to a fine meal and a comfortable atmosphere. They are an asset to our area!

Great, local mom and pop stop with delicious home cooked food. The patty melt, hamburger and frued chicken salad were all delicious. No alcohol, but that's ok!

The atmosphere is super casual. The decor is kind of a rustic country diner style, with corrugated metal walls and homey signs. The menu had quite a big selection and we ordered the chicken fried steak, the mushroom Swiss burger, & the the homestyle burger. The waitress was nice & friendly, and the service was quick!

While in the area, I chose to stop in and try Mama's Kitchen, my decision, was based on Yelp reviews. I am glad I did. The place was busy and understaffed, as most places are today, but the way was well worth it. I had the two piece catfish dinner, fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw. The two filets almost completed a whole fish. Good tasting. Try it out, I don't think you will be sorry.

It's very country looking, so that was appealing. We started with the fried pickles for an appetizer to share. Our group was a party of 3. The pickles were a perfect split for us. The ranch served with the pickles had a tartar sauce undertone taste. It was pretty good. We all had the sweet tea and lemonade mix. It was refreshing. I ordered the regular JW's burger on a classic white bun. The burger was okay. There was no special seasoning to it. I wasn't able to order it medium. From the looks of it, it was "done", so that is a little too done for me. I like mine a little pink. They use leaf lettuce. I prefer shredded. The pickles on my burger were cut lengthwise, and 2 of the strips still had the outer skin on them. Not a fan of that. The fries were good. They had a nice crunch to them. The service was great at JW's. Our drinks were never empty, the food came out fast, and our waitress was very nice. You can't get better than country service. It was a nice change from Houston where everything is hustle and bustle. We all three split a piece of coconut pie. It was okay, but to be fair, I am not a pie person. My coworkers thought it was terrific. If I am out that way again and decide to stop in, I will order something different. Maybe the chicken fried steak. The neighboring table ordered it and it looked good! Our bill for the 3 of us was $71 and some change before tip. That seems on point for 1 appetizer, 3 drinks, 3 entrees, and 1 piece of pie. It was crowded, especially for a weekday after the lunch rush in the country, so they must be doing something right.

I will say that the prices are on a steeper side; however, the portions are also generous. We had a pleasant meal here and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for good, southern comfort food.
