    Hair in hotdog

Went to dairy hart today for a number 2 special, as I was enjoying my first hotdog. I was opening my next one and there was a hair in it embedded in the chili. I called and they told me to come back to switch it out. I get there and wasn't greeted with friendly service. 3 young girls were working, extremely unprofessional and lacking good customer service. As I finally get my hot dog I opened it and it had bubbles on top. I had chili, slaw and onions. NO hot dog should have bubbles on it, it looked like spit. Dont eat here. just Remember kids, YOU CHOOSE YOUR JOB. If you don't like it leave! playing with peoples food isnt it. it's a HEALTH CODE violation.

Great food, prices are a little high for certain combos. Other than that. No complaints.

The establishment has an open area with tables and a counter where you order and select your ice cream. There is plenty of room to walk around and between the tables, which is lovely. The entire place is bright and clean. The decor is a bit eclectic, like a cross between a movie theater and nostalgic Americana. But the quirkiness works. The prices are reasonable, and the servings are very large, except for the candy (see below). The young lady working behind the counter (just one person was working when we were there) was polite, friendly, and efficient. Regarding the candy, there is a 5' tall "wall" of candy (think tiny candies individually wrapped) that they sell. On top of the wall are some wooden boxes. They sell the boxes for you to buy candy and put in them. Those were an expensive option, but no harm, no foul. You might love this option. We will be going back and I highly recommend you go, too! The booth was dirty, table was dirty, the trach can lid had streaks of ice cream smeared all over it. In general, the 3 items were tried were not good and it was dirty.

We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. It is a beautiful location right next to the River District. There's a lovely park, splash pad, and playground right along the Dan River. We were so stoked to eat right there. The interior of the restaurant was so fun. We loved the decorations. Books everywhere! The server was ok at first. But when we were done, I did not like how she presented me the check. She just quickly flashed me an amount on a screen, and then hid the screen. I asked if I could pay cash and she accepted it but did not bring me a check even then. We ordered 3 burgers that sounded really good. Such a disappointment. The burger meat in each was shaped perfectly and was as hard as a hockey puck. They appeared to be cooked medium but the meat was tough and gristly. I have no idea how they got all the burgers the exact, uniform hockey puck shape. They must be like those frozen ones you can get at Costco. But $17.95 for a frozen hockey puck? At one point, while my kids were telling me how gross the patties were, while my husband and I told them they had to eat them to go play on the playground, I flagged the server down and asked what type of meat it was. She said beef. However, it did not taste like beef. Thank goodness for all the toppings because if they were plain burgers, they would have been inedible. We were so hungry though so we ate what we could. Notably, the buns also tasted cheap like they had just come out of a stale grocery store deli bag. The seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, the homemade ranch and ketchup, and salad with homemade vinaigrette were ok. After we left, I added up what we ordered again and realized she must have charged me an extra $12 to swap out a veggie patty for a beef patty. I was not told there would be an upcharge so felt a little swindled, especially with how she presented the check. I wish I had kept the veggie patty though, because it probably would have been better. Also my kid who had said the burgers were so gross puked right after we left and immediately felt much better and enjoyed 2 hours on the playground. My other kid was jealous of the other one puking. Like you can't make this kind of stuff up. This spot has so much potential. I would honestly hope to visit again just to chill outside but would not ever eat the burgers.

So much so that we ended up taking the leftovers back to eat for breakfast. My husband had salmon that was terrific. I had the shrimp and grits which was perfect. The atmosphere has really nice. We had a booth near the kitchen and it spacious. I will definitely come back again. The only downfall was the elevator going up to the restaurant. It needed to be cleaned and swept. I was leery going into the restaurant at first because of that. Thank you for a great experience.

The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The menu is small but thoughtfully curated. The hush puppies were fantastic, and while my meal was good, I have to admit I left with a little food envy after hearing everyone rave about the Brussels sprouts! They also offer outdoor seating and a private event space downstairs. The cocktails were a bit on the pricey side, but the cozy atmosphere, great service, and local charm made it well worth the visit. I'll definitely be back and next time, I'm ordering those Brussels sprouts.

Then you get to add 30-40 different things...from fresh fruit to fresh brownies (one of my favorites) as well as iced cookies, candy, Hershey slivers (another favorite), and on and on. The fun part is that you get to make whatever you want, without having to tell someone else how much of each item or paying some extra fee for a 6th topping. The end result is normally tasty and if it isn't, your poor choices are to blame. ;) I haven't tracked it but it seems like the frozen yogurt flavors change as do the toppings (one time they didn't have my slivers!). I do wish they had regular nuts (they have syrup-ed nuts but I don't want much sweetness, which is why I would add nuts to cut the sweet). They seem to do a pretty good job of keeping everything clean (which is a big deal for me) but might do more about cleaning the outside trash cans because they seem to attract a lot of wasps or bees. There is plenty of seating inside and outside and they have nice long hours so they are open when you really want it at 8:30 at night. The ability to control your own weight normally results in it being the same or less than other places. I think Sweet Frog might have been the nail in the coffin for our local Cold Stone Creamery as it was about half the price. If you like ice cream, give it a shot. I know it is frozen yogurt but you won't mind after you try it. Heck I didn't even realize that my flavor was fat free and pretty low cal until I looked at the sign after having had it 3 or 4 times. What a happy surprise since I loved it based on taste alone--island banana.

Sometimes the fries come out a bit overcooked, so this time I asked for them to be undercooked -- thankfully I did, because they still came out pretty crunchy. I ordered my usual crispy chicken sandwich with extra pickles and extra mayo. Unfortunately, it only had two pickles and didn't taste quite as fresh as when I get it earlier in the day. My kids ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken tender kids' meal, and those were made correctly -- they loved them! One thing worth mentioning: there were no kids' toys included in the meals. I'm really glad I checked before handing them out, because I have two autistic girls (ages 5 and 4), and missing something like that can really throw them off. I mentioned it to the manager, who kindly offered each of them a small 1 oz pack of Nerds or M&M's instead. That small gesture made a big difference, and I really appreciated her understanding and kindness. My oldest even said, "I really wanted a toy, but Nerds will be awesome!" Overall, the service is consistently slow, but the staff is friendly and the food is usually reliable. Out of the local Sonics, this is still one of the better ones.

Nobody who works there gives a crap about you, your food, your order or anything. I'm not even asking for top tier service, it's simple things like getting an order correct or even acknowledgement that you exist as a customer. Managers don't care, so naturally nobody else does. The line is 25-30 minutes every time regardless if there's 1 car or 7. I don't even like leaving negative reviews, but I genuinely don't have a clue why they are still open.
