I love hotdogs and like to think of myself as an expert. I will drive hundreds of miles just to try one. In this instance, I drove 200 miles round trip, just to try Toby's Windy City ( Chicago dog ). Also ordered was a chili dog for my friend and tour guide and a plain, no bun dog for my friends dog, which there was no charge for! My friend and his dog gobbled theirs right down! Me, I was trying to get my phone to work so I could take pictures. No luck with that . Anyway, I would call my Chicago dog exceptional with just a few things needing to be done. 1. Toast that bun! It keeps it from getting soggy. Mine totally fell apart with the first bite. 2. It was on a regular bun not poppy seed. Maybe that's why it was called a Windy City dog 3. They immediately advised although their power was out (along with the rest of downtown at the time), they were more than willing to make me a meal. I got the chili cheese dog and a can of Coke. The hotdog was great. Eric even offered an extra dog on the house due to the inconvenience. I honestly did not feel inconvenienced due to the hospitality they showed me.
