It has some cute souvenirs in the front, where they also sell baked goods, Swedish pancake mix, and syrup. I went there for lunch and we got to try their pancakes, potato pancakes, sandwiches, fried perch, and more! The server was friendly and helped us with the menu, letting us know that some of their Friday specials can be actually ordered any day. The potato pancakes were hefty and great, but as for their Swedish potatoes and fried perch, it was quite subpar and didn't feel very fresh. The green beans side had a canned sour taste. We also tried their giant peanut butter cookie, which was an interesting texture and just okay. It was a fun experience, but the food was average.

Busy upon arrival with very limited seating available while waiting. Greeted with a smile and wait time was as noted. I was neutral to Dining area ambience, pleasant. Three breakfasts and one lunch. Overall all meals were good and prep time was excellent from point of order. Service was good not great. We did have some grease on chair back which was noticed with hand. Not huge, but probably should not of been missed. Solid three overall. Worth giving a try.

My water with ice (and same with the other glasses including ice) all contained black stuff. Simply clean your ice machine. (I forgot exactly what the black stuff is but I know you don't want it. It's a sign your ice machine is dirty.) The space is small and attracts a lot of customers. So it's loud and you can't always hear others. (Not the business's fault. Just something to keep in mind for customers incase you don't like loud noises.) The service is good! They clean and take your orders quickly. No complaints there. The scenery is also great! No complaints there either! The seats are all hard. None of them are cushioned. (Incase you don't like hard seats.) WiFi is provided! Now for the food, The displays are amazing! The food comes out and looks very nice. Well done! I ordered the Blueberry Pancakes and it came out with a smiley face. (Whipped cream was included) The pancakes tasted delicious!! They were crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside! They weren't extremely sweet, which is great!! I love being able to eat pancakes and not having to stop eating them because it's too much sugar. For pricing, it is a little bit expensive. For example, a cup of coffee is $4.50. HOWEVER! As someone who used to work in a small business that was a coffee shop, this is very understandable. Coffee beans have gotten expensive recently. And plus, you need to make money in order to continue your business. So I have no complaints about that. Overall, this is a great place! I would fully reccomend going if you stop by!

There's plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy, but they have lovely indoor seating as well. That takes you back and makes you feel like you are in someone's quaint little home! We loved hearing the history behind the fish boil and watching it come to life at the Old Post Office Restaurant! The dinner and experience was very reasonably priced at $30 per person and they offer options of fried chicken or ribs for those that don't care for fish. I'm (personally) not a big fish lover but I had to at least try it and it wasn't too bad! Dinner is also served with 3 different types of bread and a slice of delicious cherry pie! (Cherries are grown all over the peninsula). We sat outside on the front porch and watched the sun slowly set and the sky fill up with brilliant colors as we finished our dinner. I left with both my belly and heart as full as possible! We enjoyed the restaurant so much that I wanted to stop by on our way out of town, the last day, and try out their breakfast menu. I splurged and ordered the fresh cherry pancakes with a side of one egg and bacon. I planned to just eat half of my pancakes but I almost devoured them completely! My mouth is watering - several days later - as I am thinking about them and writing this review. I highly recommend the Old Post Office if you are in the area. Unfortunately you have to call the restaurant to make reservations but it's definitely worth the little bit of extra effort.
