1/17/2025 around 6:30 PM. Waited 35 minutes in the drive thru for only 2 cars in front of me. Got 2 chicken strip orders and the meat was completely raw. Called and asked to speak to the manager who has his head up his ass and wouldn't give me his name. Said I needed to come back for a refund... why would I want to come back to an establishment that gave me raw food. I mentioned all the horrible reviews and asked him what he was going to do as the manager To make this better he said " every case is different ma'am" he gave me the corporate number but I'm sure they won't do anything. I contacted the corporate office for a second time on July 19th, 2024 to provide additional information to the case reported on July 13th. I was never contacted by the owners, as promised after my first call. To date, I have not received ANY correspondence from the owners, nor the corporate office. In my report I stated that the store at 8536 FM 2673 in Canyon Lake, Texas has been a giant disappointment for the last twenty years. Orders are wrong consistently and frequently. The last time my husband ordered a cheeseburger with cheese and mayo only, he came home and found no burger in the bun, just cheese and mayo. So, it had been five years since that experience when I returned. When I did on Thursday, July 11th, 2024 this is how I was treated; I was third in line at 12:06 noon. My order was finally taken at 12:20. At 12:23 I paid at the window (and was over charged). I was told to drive ahead and wait for the meal to be delivered. I waited watching others get theirs. At 12:40 I went into the store to find that my order was forgotten. The young man at the fountain came up and apologized. I asked to see the manager. The district manager was there, whose name is Emma, and she came to the front but didn't approach me...instead she started talking to the employee about the problem. After being ignored, I said " excuse me, may I speak with you?" She turned and approached me at the register. She never smiled or made eye contact. I told her about my experience and asked her for a refund. She acted annoyed, proceeded to do a refund transaction, which took her almost four minutes. The whole time I stood there, watching her struggle with the return process, she never once looked up at me, apologized or expressed remorse. As I had waited almost an hour after being forgotten and was very hungry, I asked if she would make with the two hamburgers free of charge . She said she would not. At 12.46 I was issued the refund. Emma handed the refund receipt to me, still no apology or eye contact, and gruffly stated that the money would be refunded within seven days. After I left, I promptly went down the street to McDonalds and got a cheese burger withing six minutes. It's no wonder that they get most of the business because our Dairy Queen is so bad. I have resided in Canyon Lake, Texas since 1993. We used to enjoy going to Dairy Queen, but those days are long gone. It's astonishing that a restaurant and its owners aren't concerned with customer service that is inexcusable and can still be in business. Whoever the owners are, it is VERY clear they only care about the cash not the customer. Additionally, I find it pretty substandard that the Dairy Queen corporation doesn't follow up or have inspections for independent franchises. If they did, our store would be constantly busy with great food and service, instead of what it is... and isn't. Canyon Lake demographically is now an upscale residential resort location and will definitely command more restaurant competition to the area. I look forward to that. As for our Dairy Queen, its reputation here is beyond repair. read more

Slow slow slow and slower describes DQ drive thru at this location . It takes 20- 35 minutes often to get a shake or ice cream . We avoid unless we are hungover and need a fat intake ! Every time I go here there is a line of cars around the building the staff is working very hard in a lot of heat to turn out a very good product and to keep a smile on their face I know other people may be getting mad but there is a shortage of good help so far I have always gotten a great hamburger and wonderful french fries and onion rings I'm always impressed with the professionalism of the person working the window to make sure I get the correct order and they always apologize for the wait but I can see through the window they're lucky if there's three people behind the counter read more

We stopped in to have some ice cream. They had techno dance music blaring while the cook was dancing in the kitchen & the manager was sitting on his laptop in the dining area. We sat down to eat our ice cream & the song loudly used the f word, we all looked at the manager & he quickly got up to turn it down but in the process used the f word himself loud enough for us to hear. Waited a few minutes and someone said I'll be with you shortly, the line quickly began to build behind me to which I let the person at the box know. I spoke loudly and clearly from my very quiet vehicle. she continued to question everything I said with an attitude, and argued with me over semantics, as if I work there! I ordered tacos and asked for no lettuce. I got my order with lettuce on the tacos, took it up to the counter and asked for fresh but nah they just took the hands or utensil whatever and scraped the lettuce out. This is the worst DQ. Ordered a Beltbuster got a COLD Hungerbuster with COLD fries. Tried to redeem the 99 cent Blizzard but was told I could not because it all had to be on one order (apparently a COLD hamburger and fries do not count). I had pressed redeem so I lost that for another time. The tables are ALWAYS dirty and I have to get someone to wipe them down every time we come. My parents live in Canyon Lake and sometimes when we drive through, we enjoy stopping at DQ.. We try to keep our orders to a minimal because otherwise if our order gets messed up - it gets extremely frustrating. Lunch time on weekdays at this location seem to get outrageous. And I remember going inside of the lobby (pre-COVID) and the floor being sticky as ever and the sweet tea and unsweet tea was just on the floor. A very dirty location to say the least. Going through the drive thru isn't too bad. It's usually pretty fast and most of the time our orders are accurate but I'm really glad I live in San Antonio because I would never wait as long as I usually do at this specific location. read more

This place is the worst! They really need to think about implementing the "pull forward" method when there is a order that will take awhile. We waited 10+ mins for a car (only three chicken baskets) for our blizzards. When we finally pulled up they gave us extremely melted blizzards. Needless to say they didn't even attempt the flip it test. When I said they were melted, they said they would make fresh ones.... I moved to CL almost a year ago now and hate that this is the only fast food restaurant other than a McDonald's (barf) within a 10 mile radius. The drive-thru takes a minimum of 20 minutes whether there's one car ahead of you or a few, even though most times I order ONE blizzard.. Staff is rude about 80% of the time, and don't ever give a receipt unless you hassle them for it. Tonight I got a blizzard that didn't have the cocoa fudge I was charged extra for... and even though it's supposed to be a "Choco dipped strawberry blizzard" it's more like a vanilla ice cream with a hint of strawberry and a few small pieces of chocolate chip or something every few bites... I tried to call the store but I guess they're just leaving the phone off the hook... Very disappointing, but no more than usual... and of course I don't even have a receipt. read more

All I have to say is come here if you don't mind rude employees. Everytime I've come here in the last year which is not that often I experience a bad attitude from this one particular girl with tattoos that works at the drive thru. Coming from someone that works in the food industry I think she needs to be taught customer service. This Dairy Queen closed their lobby, so we waited in the drive through. One vehicle was in front of us at the speaker box and waited over ten minutes to get service. We called the phones and no one inside answered, but we could hear the employees outside, smoking in the attached shed. After waiting 15 minutes, my husband got out and opened the shed door to let those employees know cars were lined up in the drive through and needing service. The employee told my husband he and the other employees (2 of which were managers) were all on break. He reiterated there were people waiting and someone needed to answer the speaker box. When we finally placed our order and picked it up at the window, it was only half filled and none of the employees had on masks. We took the order back to the window and asked them to remake it, when they were asked about wearing masks the manager stated they didn't have to as it's just a recommendation and she had a "medical certification" so she didn't have to wear it. This Dairy Queen has poor service and very unprofessional employees working there. We will find a new restaurant to stop at going forward. read more

We love Dairy Queen ice cream, HOWEVER, we've been to this location a handful of times through the drive through and have never waited less than 30minutes, sometimes longer. It's ridiculous.
