I think a lot of people who have left bad reviews are a little too critical and have to remember that Canyon Lake is a small town and the majority of the employees look like they're in high school/college and they're trying their best! Stopped by for a couple of Sonic Blasts and everything was great. Very friendly employees, correct and speedy orders, and tasty, too!

I have never had problems either service here. Delivery can be a bit cold but drive through has always been great.

We placed an order on DoorDash. The Dasher did come fast so that means they made the food fast. When the food came, the bag was completely close. The sticker was on it and nothing was sticking up. We checked our receipt and our DoorDash order and we had two medium fries, but it wasn't in the bag. We also tried calling the place we got the food from and it didn't work. Since those fries were almost $10 I am kind of upset. read more

Our family loves to get sonic drinks on road trip. I will say this is absolutely the worst sonic experience from a customer service perspective. Their screen was broken and it was difficult to understand the person. I told her having a hard time hearing her and reconfirmed my order they got it completely wrong. When I asked them to get the correct order and not charge me for things I didn't want which I gave back. The manager came out with a horrific attitude. I was being nice all I asked for was just the correct order. They then took my credit card inside and brought me back out cash. I've gotten good food here before, but I've also gotten bad food, and forget about the whole "fast food" part if it's after 8pm. I don't know if it's an issue with this location being SEVERELY understaffed for what seems like years now, or a lack of quality management, but speed of service seems to have been a consistent issue for as long as I can remember. Been this way for at least six years since we have been visiting Canyon Lake and now for last year we live here. 8/19/22 our order had 5 pretzels and was not given any cheese sauce, the car hop gave their standard reply of you have to ask for it we don't serve it that way. Your menu and app say it comes with it and no way to request because it is already served with cheese as it says!. He brought me 3 for the 5 pretzels!! We had a mini churro shake and no churro served as garnish as picture shows. Ordered a chocolate oreo master shake and was given a regular mini Oreo blast. We had a total of 10 food and ice cream items and zero napkins given, I asked for napkins when he brought my mini churros ordered that were not in the bag and he gave us 2!!! I truly believe the ONLY reason this location is still open is because there is NO other fast food option in town and the residents suffer thru the frustration and torture. If I could give negative stars I would, for the employee I'm sorry you're not trained properly on how to fill up a large fry. While I understand the under-waged and under appreciated workers, I can't understand why it takes me going back there and giving a step by step on why I don't think a 3 dollar item should be less then the actual size, I spent 7 on two large fries, both at the middle level of the fry container, if I wanted a medium I would have ordered one. Literally tears of laughter streaming down my teenagers face in the backseat listening to us try to order and the person on the other end trying to comprehend. Insane wait (upwards of 30 minutes to even have our order taken). Insanely bad communication skills at the drive thru window (said they had never heard of the Reese's peanut butter milkshake listed in the menu). Thee worst experience ever! A bunch of teenagers not properly doing their job. Calling some young man outside Xavier Xavier and he went inside the employee entrance after a young lady called him in. We were told 3 minutes and we've been waiting 15!! No explanation or anything! They were laughing and carrying on the entire time. I could over hear cussing and everything. These are, for the most part, high school kids trying to make a buck, and I empathize. My really simple orders have been wrong 4 times in a row, I've never complained or even mentioned it, because... who cares, it's fast food, orders are wrong all the time. Well tonight, I met their management and their horrible reviews and inability to function made sense. I had ordered a Onion Rings (the entire reason I went) but they sent tots. Not a big deal, but since I was still in the lot I circled back to see if I could get it corrected. The "manager" opened the window, prepared with a silly defensive look on her face, already knowing they had messed up. She immediately accused me of messing up my own order, and before I even asked for the correction she said I needed to pay for Onion Rings if I wanted them. Her actual defense with a straight face was "the ticket says tots" which she repeated 3 times implying that it wasn't their mistake, and continued with her bizarre staredown. It was surreal, but also kind of entertaining. Almost forgot the funniest part -- an employee going in the back door near me at the window literally said out loud "we're out of onion rings" straight up, basically announcing that the manager had lied. This Sonic sucks. Not a terrible wait like others stated but they got the order wrong. Twice. First mistake we caught during the order screen and had to press button to have it fixed. Second is when order came and we got one of the burgers wrong and then got an additional burger that wasn't even ours. Must have belonged to someone else's order. Needs to be under new management. We are limited to this Sonic, unless we want to drive 15 miles. We love that this Sonic is so close, but EVERY single time I have ordered, they miss something on my order. I ordered 2 pretzels and no cheese was given to go with the pretzels! I order a limeade with cherry flavor. No cherry flavor! ZERO STARS! I visited this location this evening and I was very upset with my visit. Upset and shocked! My order was pretty long, but I did repeat it 2 times. When I got to the window I didn't really ask about the price Chris said it was $31.52 I said okay gave him my card (weird because every other fast food place in NB and surrounding areas have you input your card due to the current pandemic.) I waited on my order.... When I received my order I looked in the bag and it wasn't right. I asked Chris about the medium tater tots I ordered. He looked at the receipt that he didn't give me or even offer to give me. And said "I didn't ring it up, it's going to be $2.65"( not sure the exact number) I checked my bag again and said "OH, here is the issue you gave me 2 mozzarella sticks" he gave me back my card and said "okay give me back one of the mozzarella sticks and I'll give you a medium tater tot" I was shocked that SONIC even allows food back once it has left the building and into someone vehicle... Especially due to Covid-19 and other health concerns and I'm sure health violations. Anyways Chris then gives me a medium tater tot... They where extremely cold and hard as if they where pre-made and under the heat lamps for a while. I asked Chris for my receipt.. When I got home I was able to look it over... I was charged $4.39 for a medium mozzarella stick that I was asked to give back to them.. and wasn't charged for a $2.65 medium tot.. (still a difference in price!) but that isn't that big of an issue... on the bottom of my recipe it says CHANGE: $0.48 I'm confused... I didn't get any change back or ask for change back since I paid with a card... check your receipts y'all! The only good thing about this Sonic is I've never found a hair in my food or drink. It amazes me at rush how the fries are always cold. If that isn't bad enough, you can taste the freezer burn. The order takes forever but the burger is lukewarm at best. If the poor quality of food isn't bad enough, the drive thru cashier thinks saying "there you go" suffices for thank you. I reported the closing remark to the email provided on my receipt. The answer was my apologies, please come back and have a combo onus. Use the name ... Seriously! At the very least lie to me & say it's our store policy to say thank you & please come back. This was my 5th time visiting the store since it opened and it is definitely my last.
