I recently had a disappointing experience at Dairy Queen that I feel compelled to share. Unfortunately, the management at this location left much to be desired. Upon entering, it was evident that there was a lack of organization. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unsure of their roles, which led to confusion and delays. While I understand that busy times can lead to stress, the management's inability to effectively communicate and support their team was glaring. Orders were mixed up not just once, but multiple times during my visit, which was frustrating. I witnessed several customers voicing their concerns, only to be met with indifference from the management. It felt like they were more focused on rushing through the orders than ensuring customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, by the time I finally got my Blizzard, it was completely melted. (the picture) I would give zero stars if I could. The overall atmosphere was chaotic, and it was disappointing to see a place with such history and potential fall short due to poor leadership. I hope that the management can take a step back, reassess their approach, and prioritize both their employees and customers in the future. It would be great to see this Dairy Queen thrive, but it starts with much better management practices. read more

I have really given this DQ far more chances than I normally give other restaurants, so I feel justified in reviewing now. First, the cleanliness is sub par, I know they don't make a lot of money, but come on, use a broom and mop once in a while. The bathroom smells really bad and it just looks gross. The food is good......when they get the order right. The drive thru speaker NEVER works, went up there today for the last time, and the lady couldn't hear us, imagine that. It wasn't working 3 months ago either. When we pulled up, I asked the girl if the manager was ever going to fix it. She said, "Not sure what I can do, I just started.". My husband and ate here on 6/24/23. And let me tell you the place was warm like the ac was broken. Plus the place was straight up nasty inside. There was Flys flying around inside every where and the tables looked like they weren't wipe down plus trash was all over the floor,like someone forgot to swipe and mop the floors. And top of all that the soda machine had flat drinks in them.And the straws was not stock, and when we had to ask for a straw, they just looked at us and took there time giving us a straw too. Now as far as the food, it could have been a little better to for the price you pay to eat there. I had a chicken strip basket, and the strips were luke warm and my gravy look like it was left over from the day before and the fries were old. My husband hamburger was the same,luke warm also. We stopped going to this DQ (Copperas Cove has 2), around 2-3 months ago. Since we live close by, we would go for ice cream, some times burgers. We stopped going due to slovenly service (employees EXTREMELY RUDE), food not edible (bought the repper pepper tacos and couldn't even eat one, ie., burnt taco meat, no cheese on the hunger buster cheese burger, etc). Tried to contact management, was told there isn't one. Tried to complete a customer survey to no avail. You want tacos, go to Laredo Taco Company in the Stripes Convenience Store. HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS. NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. Worse customer service I have received in a fast food restaurant. Waited at menu board for over 8 minutes before someone came on to state " please pull forward to order" then I made it to window to order. My wife had a strawberry sundae where the employees decided to fill the lid with liquid toppings before placing onto bottom cup which over flowed into my vehicle when my wife took off lid to open her sundae. Then after 6 minutes of waiting at window employee came to window to ask me what I was waiting for only to notice another employee behind her start laughing. She jumped him verbally saying that was not funny that we were waiting for our second item. He then proceeded to make my peanut buster parfait so after several more minutes a total of 27 minutes from order board to receiving items in drive through I finally received mine. I pulled around building and parked so I could open mine only to find out employees decided to fill the entire lid with chocolate syrup and peanut butter sauce before placing on bottom cup causing it to dump into my vehicle all over myself and my interior. As I went back in to discuss this with them that who made it and explain that is not good customer service and now my seats are covered in syrup and peanut butter sauce as well as my clothes he ( Jerome) proceeded to laugh at me. I asked to speak to manager and Jerome's friend at counter said he could make a new one. I told him no and to once again get me the manager. Jerome continued to laugh about the situation. When I finally spoke to manager she mentioned giving me coupons for free items I stated that would not suffice. I felt as though Jerome needed to be fired there and then for his level of disrespect to a customer. She stated she couldn't fire him, she could write him up and allow general manager to make the call. She stated "trust me if I could, I would fire him because he is disrespectful and is always a problem" this tells me that the issues run up the ladder and not just one bad seed. For him to do it, a fellow employee hold it, look at it and still hand it to me and then a manager having no authority to remedy it, says to me this is a bad location. With such disrespect I also question what health code violations are happening in that location if they have employees running rogue and doing as they please to the point of disrespecting customers. The Dairy Queen royal cheesecake blizzard is one of those best thing I ever had. Taste delicious! It's a cheesecake flavored vanilla shake, with graham crust pieces and strawberry preserved filling. If i could give this place no stars i would, my last experience was enough to make me never go back to this location. The service in the drive thru took forever and it was due to 4 of the kids from the back hanging out and playing with the staff up front. My blizzard was dripping over the sides melted, when i asked the girl to wipe it off she got upset. Never fails. Every single time I go they make me pull around for food. Not a big deal, appreciate that the food is fresh. What irritates me is it's usually a 30 minute or more wait, and they do it even when I'm the only one in the parking lot. I will NEVER eat at or visit the Dairy Queen on Georgetown Road in Cove again. We want in to get a Blizzard to celebrate My husband passing his final exam. When we got there the place was packed and there was this one guy named Terrance behind the counter. He was getting hammered by customers. There was not a single other employee in the store. He would start to make our Blizzards and then more and more customers would show up in line and in drive thru. Plus all the orders ahead of ours. He kept calling for help over the head set. He had to call 3 time for help before 3 other employees finally came back inside the store. I assume from a smoke break. They immediately came in and started handling people's food, never even washing their hands. One of the employees picked up our Blizzards, which had been sitting on the counter for nearly 10 minutes at this point, and proceeded to start completing the mixtures, having never washed her hands from being outside. We complained to the manager on duty (who had yet to even wash her hands herself) who then made he girl wash her hands. We request for Terrance to complete our Blizzards, since we knew his hands were clean. The manager and girl we requested wash her hands gave us dirty looks the rest of the time we were in the store, I was honestly glad neither of them were fixing our Blizzards or I would have been worried they would spit in our food or something just as bad. Finally about 15 minutes of waiting our Blizzards were completed by Terrance (the poor guy who was left alone in the packed store while the rest of the employees were outside doing who knows what)and we paid and left. By the time we got home the Blizzards were a melted mess in my lap after sitting on the counter waiting to be completed for nearly 15 minutes. I actually had a huge ice cream puddle in my lap. I will never do business with this Dairy Queen location again and we will be reporting the incident to the health department on Monday. Terrance should be given a raise and the manager and other employees should be fired or at the very least be reprimanded because they obviously do not care about their customer's health or safe food handling. Got home and threw our Blizzards away. Too afraid we would get sick after the gross employees handled our food. read more

This place is HORRIBLE!!! They mess up my order EVERYTIME. When you are in the drive thru you have to repeat your order 2-3 times and they still mess it up. The blizzards are melting by the time they give it to you. They had 6 people inside, we were the only customers and it took 20 minutes just to get TWO blizzards that they messed up. read more
