We went through the drive through and ordered a large peanut butter milk shake and a large royal Reeses fluffernutter blizzard. There was a pickup truck ahead of us already getting their order. The guy taking our order, a young male, kept acting he couldn't hear what I was saying and I was almost yelling at him. When I pulled ups to the window he just smiled at me and took our credit card and asked if we wanted a receipt. Absolutely we do. Then we waited on our order. The blizzard come out first and my wife assumed that it was what she had ordered and did taste it until we drove away. But it was a Reese's Pieces not what she wanted. He brought mine to the window and it was a medium milkshake and not a large. Since we hadn't eaten lunch or dinner, this was going to be our meal. I was like, I ordered a large milkshake not a medium, I guess that you guys are shrinking your servings too and he replied, it's inflation. So he kept the wrong shake and had the female make me another peanut butter milkshake that consisted of ice cream and milk. I took it and we left. As we left and my wife tasted her blizzard that's when she noticed that they couldn't even give her the correct blizzard either. So I guess that's another great establishment that will not get our money anymore. read more

Man I have been to Many Dairy Queen's in my life. This was such a disappointment. The people we very friendly but oh the food was so so bad. The ice cream terrible quality, owners going cheap, cheese sticks cooked to hot and cooked all the cheese out of them, taco was completely crumbled. They did get the ice water right, so not all bad. read more

This is the worse DQ I have ever seen, and I've been to dozens of them. Last Friday (the 13th!!) I ordered a medium Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard. After waiting in the drive-thru for 25 minutes (with only 3 cars ahead of me in line), I had to repeat my order for the third time. This place is notorious for screwing up orders. I'm convinced they do not actively listen to customers. Anyway, when I finally got my Blizzard, it was a SMALL Blizzard in a MEDIUM cup (see photo). I did not eat any of it before I snapped the photo. This has happened before... not just this occasion. This time I was so pissed, I pulled over a couple of blocks away, just to take this picture. If you visit this place, it's a gamble. Sometimes you get what you ordered, but many times you won't. Caveat emptor!! read more

The Dairy Queen in Gilmer tx has so far surpassed the all time lowest of low in service. I cannot believe they are even still operating. They have messed my order up for the last time and can't believe that they admitted their mistake and then give me attitude for bringing it up. Hopefully something decent will open up in that spot. read more

This location has received a lot of bad reviews. However my experiences here have been good each time. There is a guy in there who I think is the manager and he knows his stuff. Blizzards are always good and made right. Other food is tasty and what you would expect from Dairy Queen. Service is friendly. Maybe it comes down to management. Given that the most recent review was 20 days ago and prior to that a year ago, I would say try it yourself. read more

My first thought was to go to Whataburger.......but since I never try Dairy Queen I figured I'd give it a try while I'm cheating on my diet. Bad decision! I guess I can understand not being able to use a credit card that did not have my name on it......but the burger with no meat stole the show!! It was wrapped up all nice and my onion rings were nice and hot......but no effin meat in my burger! Can I even call that a burger?! There was no sense of urgency to make the burger. After I waited about ten minutes and went to ask where my burger was I learned that no one even started on it. I asked for a refund and they still charged me for the onion rings and the drink that they brought out with the meatless burger! This makes me not wanna see DQ anywhere ever! I think I'll go out of my way to keep people from giving their money to this loser franchise read more

Not sure what has happened since these other reviews were posted but this place definitely does NOT deserve 5 stars. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, cut the tomato. My wife ordered the same thing except she wanted the tomato and fries. Order took a little longer than expected but not too bad. When our food came, my sandwich was right but my wife got a plain crispy chicken sandwich with pickles only. She took it back and explained she wanted grilled chicken. When they brought her a new sandwich, it was a hamburger all the way. As we left, we noticed trash cans inside and outside overflowing. I took one more look back and saw another patron taking their order back. Should have went to the Subway across the parking lot. Lesson learned.......... read more

EVERY TIME I come to Dairy Queen in gilmer, they ALWAYS mess my order up. ALWAYS takes FOREVER to have it ready and it's always wrong! the kids that work there don't listen or even care about their jobs and it shows!!! they always give me my ice creams first and by the time I get my food it's always melted And not even worth eating. Ordered a sundae. She asked if I wanted whip cream, well yeah. I paid. She comes back and says,"Here ya go." I took my sundae. I didn't even have it in the car and was trying to ask for napkins when she closed the window and walked off. I always thought it was a given that ice cream needs napkins. read more

Just went to eat here on my way back to Dallas. When I sat down at a booth and placed my drink on the table, the table top collapsed and spilled our drinks everywhere. That's fine, I get that sometimes stuff happens. What is NOT fine is the way the mindless workers just stared at this happening, not offering to help at all, not even an acknowledgement that it happened, and trust me, they all noticed. The manager was semi apologetic when she came into the dining room, but if she manages a staff that acts like THAT I really can't say anything good about her. The food was also incredibly mediocre, even by Dairy Queen's standard. I would HIGHLY recommend you go anywhere but here. read more

Ordered a blizzard twice and they made both wrong. Ordered another one at the first of the month and was told they had stuff for new blizzard of the month but couldn't make it until the manager said they could. Hope they improve otherwise I'll just drive to Longview. read more

Worst experience ever. Single employee working was not inside the building but instead smoking outside or in her car. We waited at the drive thru for 8 minutes before abandoning hope that she would return to work. Went here for lunch today and ordered an A1Burger and a single patty burger all the way and added bacon. Got back to the house before i realized that they shorted my A1 a patty and the hamburger only had a lot of lettuce and two tomatoes no pickles no onions and one piece of bacon. We returned the food the general mangager was there but did not say a word to us. We could see the cooks laughing in the back. The manager was some what apologetic but didnt seem to care at all. We got the refund and never will be going there again. I would not recommend this place to anyone and strongly suggest they get new employees. read more
