I would not eat here if I were you. Today I came In an ordered a couple of chicken baskets. The quality of the food 0/10 The serving of fries was laughable Chicken was more breaded than actual meat and the size of them couldn't feed a child. The state of the kitchen and ice cream areas were very concerning. Mainly because of employee safety and sanitation. Paper bags scattered along with old food on the floor. The sauce area for ice cream was appalling. Dried up ice cream and crusted sauce on top on serving containers. Trash over flowing. Soda tower was sticky with caked on soda. Training cook that was handling food without gloves. The young woman I worked with at the counter is the only star I could give this place. Sorry I didn't catch her name but she was very nice and apologized and gave me hot food and she was working very hard. Unfortunately the same outcome in quality. read more

Asked for a second transaction to order our food with a deal. They were not able to understand. All I wanted was a kids dip cone and I waited 20 minutes with no other cars in front of me or anyone inside. The worker proceeded to make the cone wrong. All I had on me for payment was Apple Pay. She sat there and had me enter my code 6 times she said there wasn't anything wrong with my card. The machine just wasn't working. She kept having me type my code in or redo my face ID and would take my phone inside the window acting as if it was gonna somehow change this time after having messed around with it for 5+ minutes. For a $2.89 cone that I waited 20 minutes for, they had issues with their payment system, and they didn't even make the cone right, you'd think at that point for all the trouble they would've just told me to keep it, but no, I had to give it back. I probably should have had more than one form of payment with me, but I had hopped in the car quick for something else and didn't think I needed a card, then on my way at back decided I wanted to make a quick stop for a cone. Shame on me I guess for thinking that at this Dairy Queen that had not a single soul inside or in the drive-through outside that I would get a correctly made cone in less than 20 minutes. read more

Another was standing in the drive through, a third mopping the floors came to the door and told me that they were closed because they only had two workers when there were clearly three. read more

They seem to be short staffed a lot but I don't blame them, working in any kind of food business is hard. The food is excellent and everything seems to be kept fresh and blizzards are fast and taste great. The place is not always clean but what can you do when short staffed and lots of people come in lol. The staff is great and there's a lot of cheery expressions. Every time I've been here over the past few months I keep seeing new faces except a select couple, you'd think they ran the store instead of the actual manager. They need to fix the drive thru speaker or whatever it is that they can't hear people ordering. And I've seen reviews of people talking about them not flipping the blizzards if you look closely on some of the blizzard areas on the menu it says that not all locations actually flip them it's the bigger stores that usually do from what I've seen read more

This is your average DQ. We had been driving on the highway for several hours. We wanted to relax with a light lunch and an ice cream sundae. We were disappointed that the main dining room still wasn't open so we went somewhere else. We understand being sensitive to health of customers but you should realize that with vaccinations there are thousands of customers who would like to eat at your restaurant and would have little risk of COVID. Just pulled up to the drive thru at 8:45. We know this because we were meeting someone at 9:30 and wanted to make sure we had time. We were literally in line for 14 minutes behind several cars. We finally get up to order at 8:59 and the person said "we can't serve you because we close at 9:00 pm". We even explained to him how long we were in line (long before closing). All he said "it doesn't matter". We asked for the manager and he said I am the manager. When asked his name he said "Richard Booth". Not sure if that was his name. Literally the slowest drive through experience I've ever had and there were no other cars. I just spent the last 30-45 minutes sitting in an empty drive thru. This wasn't late at night or early in the morning it was literally noon...you would assume that only one person was working (there weren't I saw several other people working inside). Our quick stop for some ice cream turned into a 40 minute stop due to extremely slow service. The staff was not friendly or engaging and didn't seem to have a clue about how to do their jobs. I ended up ordering a blizzard and a burger, my husband ordered a freeze and my dad ordered a blizzard. It took over 20 minutes to get these items and when we finally did, the burger had definitely been sitting a while. It was fine because I was hungry, but definitely was not good. Also, they brought my husband a plain slushy instead of a freeze (the freeze is a slushy with ice cream mixed in). Considering we paid extra for the freeze he kindly let them know that he ordered a freeze and they were NOT happy that they had to remake it. Side note: they didn't have the flavor he ordered and didn't realize it until after he ordered so he ended up switching to a different flavor which wasn't the best. I am thinking that this place last had a face lift when it first opened at the founding of the town itself! :-) It is looking its age and then some and is in dire need of some upgrading. It just looks old and beat up. We stopped here for a quick lunch and treat while we were passing through the area on the way home. It did the trick. It was Dairy Queen and it obviously hit the spot. Maybe things are different in smaller towns than they are in the Chicago area but the crew here actually looked like they were enjoying being there and it showed in their friendly, helpful, and welcoming demeanor. This DQ has always been a bit questionable - always an extraordinarily long wait for your food but last night was utterly disgusting. Had to pull to the window just to place my order because the person couldn't seem to get it right. We ordered four blizzards and a cone - not that difficult. During the 20 minute wait in the drive through lane after placing my order (not an exaggeration AT ALL!), I watched a worker take a bite of a cone and throw it away, all the workers had food splattered all over them, the same girl with the cone licked her fingers and then kept working, the cars behind me were honking it was taking so long (in DQs defense, some machine broke down)...it was the longest, most disgusting visits to a DQ in my life. I'm not sure if they deserve 2 stars or not. Restaurant was very smokey like they had a grease fire or something going on in the kitchen. (The smell actually got in my clothes.) Employees were friendly, but it took forever to get our ice cream. No one was complaining, but the girl delivering kept apologizing for the waits. The only reason I came here to eat was because the taco place next door closed early and I wanted something relatively cheap. There was a couple people ahead of me and my husband, so they weren't extremely busy, but that didn't prevent them from being slow. I got a salad and my husband got the Artisan Philly combo, plus we got an order of the potato skins to share. We waited almost 15 minutes for our food, plus half of the drinks in the fountain machine were out. The sandwich my husband got tasted like the steak had been sitting in water for an hour, so it had no flavor besides the bread. My salad was decent, but then again, it's hard to mess up a salad. The only good part about our meals is that the fries were fresh and the potato skins were hot and tasted decent. Oh well, you live and learn. read more
