They had us wait almost 20 minutes around the back of the store. When they finally brought the food, I found that they forgot all of the condiments. I went in and everyone ignored me until the manager finally came to the counter. I didn't check the one burger in my order until I was almost home. I found it completely smothered in sauce. It was too disgusting to eat. It was like they were mad that we ordered food at 8:30. When I tried to call to ask why they gave us food like that, they hung up on me! Very unprofessional service. We were the only ones in the store and it took them 15 min to take our order. Which came out cold. Just a few things to note. -not short staffed I count 5 working. -not busy -no Ice in soda machine. - Missing 3 soda flavors -not clean - workers did not know how to make basic menu items. Easily the worst fast food restaurant in Columbia, and the worst DQ franchise I've ever visited. Employees refuse to come to the drive through window even during open hours, when the lights are on, and the employees are in view sitting around. If Dairy Queen cares anything about the value of its brand, it should force the transfer of this franchise to someone who cares. read more

Its been 5 visits to this Dairy Queen and there's never any chocolate ice cream. Either the person that does inventory is not doing their job or that chocolate ice cream must be extra work to serve. The lady that took my order at the drive through seemed upset after telling me they had no chocolate ice cream I needed some time to find something else. This is ridiculous. I ordered 2 burgers. Both were raw. When I told the waitress, she would not acknowledge. Only said they were short of help. The cook went to the men's restroom 3 times while I was there. After they refused to make it right, I left and stood by the drive-in microphone and told customers the hamburgers were raw. They left without buying anything. I have eaten at Dairy Queens all over the south. This place needs to be bulldozed down. When Joe West owned the 2 Dairy Queens in Columbia, the food and ice cream was good. He was caught paying employees with marijuana and forced out of business. Tonight I waited an hour for a blizzard. They took my order. Took my money. And THEN told me that they were very backed up. 15 cars and I waited in the back parking lot. They would come out with food and yell what they had in their hands. Then the corresponding car would honk if it was theirs. These people were nice but WAY understaffed. I'll never come here again. It was like going to a football game but each team only has 3 players and they are all lineman. They have GOT to close down this business until they are staffed. read more

My husband and I dropped by for ice cream around 7:00 the other night. We sat at the drive through for five minutes. No one came to take our order, so we drove around to the window. There were a few young people having a grand time, and not really interested in waiting on anyone. My husband finally got their attention, and gave a young lady our order. She did apologize, but then totally messed up our order. I ordered a butterscotch dipped cone, but when she came back to the window, she had a dreamsicle dipped cone. My husband started to complain, but I told him it wasn't worth it. We paid and drove away, never to return again. read more

I ordered two chocolate shakes in the drive through, and paid! I was told to drive forward into parking space #1. I waited 15 minutes and they NEVER brought out the chocolate shakes. Came through the drive thru at 2:00 with no cars in line, was asked to hold to place our order. Waited a few minutes and then proceeded to order. Got to window to pay, they asked us to pull up into the parking lot and wait. We ended up waiting for 15 minutes while other people orders were brought out. I called their store number and the person that answered said they were on a conference call and would have to go check. Order was out 3 minutes later. The hamburger was hot but meat tough. Don't ever buy the brownie cupfection. It had so much syrup it drowned the whole thing. There was hardly any ice cream in it. The brownie tasted like it had been cooked in a microwave. They shouldn't even try to give those away. It was disgusting. The staff was very unfriendly no thank you I hope you enjoy your meal. I have never been so upset, not once but twice they have left out my gravy when I have ordered chicken strip dinner. This time I bought 5 dinner and none of them had gravy. Really needs to hire more people for the night staff, you can have six cars in the drive through at around 8pm and they'll have two people in the whole building taking orders and making food. Took me 30 minutes to get from order to pickup in the drive though on a simple chicken basket and a blizzard. You also can't pull away once you order due to the fence on the drive through side. This is probably one of the worst places to go in Columbia at night. Last night at 10pm we tried to order and was completely ignored. At least tell someone you're closed, don't ignore us.. not to mention, online it says this store closes at 11... NOT 10. When we called and asked when time they closed the lady kept saying there were already closed. She wouldn't answer the question and then said they got the closing time "changed"..... if it's changed, it needs to be changed online as well!!!! I ordered the chicken strip basket and it was the worst! The chicken was so overcooked that is was like biting into wood. The fries were so salty that they were inedible. The gravy was so thick and full of chunks (I don't even want to know what the chunks were!) it was disgusting!!! When I got there, they had been open for 45 min. and I was obviously the first customer. I had to wait for the cashier to go get a cash drawer for the register. The ice machine was empty and when I informed the cashier of this, she stated she was pregnant and could not fill it but, she didn't tell anyone else it was empty, either. Every table was dirty and the floors were nasty. As I sat at the table, I watched another customer wait at the (empty) counter for 6-7 min. before anyone came up to take his order. I came there with seven other people after work on a Friday evening. There were no other customers waiting at that time. The four staff there seemed to be intent on serving the drive-through, standing around ingnoring us, or repeated visits to the restroom (I personally counted four visits on the part of a staff member, during the hour we were there.) We waited 15 minutes to ORDER. We waited another 30 minutes for our food. Some of our party ordered a meal, which someone said was sitting under the hot lamps ten minutes. I finally got up and asked A staff member about it. She was standing behind the counter ignoring the food. "We're short staffed. It will be a few minutes." I told her to give it to me on a tray and I would dole it out. She reluctantly did so. When I finally got my mini blizzard myself, it was runny. Had a staff member turned it upside down, it would have fallen out. The interior of the restaurant, tables, floor and seats were filthy. I shan't be returning. read more
