Let me start by saying I LOVE DQ. Seriously, we will drive to Salisbury to the old one down there because I love it that much. However, this location has become a bummer. The last few times we've gone, something has been broken, completely out, etc. The service has gone downhill and the quality of what they are selling is going downhill. This particular visit the lady acted as if she heard the order correctly, we got to the window and she hadn't rang up the sprinkles, literally asked for the ice cream back, made us pay for sprinkles, then half-way put them on the side and charged us for a full side serving of them. That was just wild to me. Unfortunately this location will be off my list and I'll still to Kernersville and Salisbury for that every-few-months soft serve ice cream craving. read more

Been to this location four times now and have gotten nothing. No signs saying the dinning room is closed but the doors are locked during business hours. Drive through all backed up, so they seem to be open. Not wasting my time here anymore. read more

It seems like every time we come here there's some kind of issue. Over the past couple of years they only offered drive through service. I don't know if that restriction is still in place. Some times they have been closed due to lack of employees. Today they were not able to serve ice cream. This store is a great location. When they are open and fully operational we have been very pleased with both food and service. I hope they can get everything working and fully staffed so we can enjoy coming here again. read more

We decided to stop by this Dairy Queen after Church today. Typically we eat lunch at home but today we had a ton todo and were exhausted so we stopped by. I ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, and a m&m blizzard. My husband ordered the same and my daughter had chicken with fries. The food stayed fresh till we arrived home (in mount airy) and including our blizzards, which was surprising! Food quality was great! The burger was juicy and cheese was melted to perfection! Loved the fries! The chicken tenders had great flavor. I really appreciate the quickness of the service and freshness so we could enjoy our food after Church with ease. read more

This is the last stop before heading back to my final destination. Order the usual Turkey BLT Artisan Sandwich which hits the spot after a long day of driving. Being able to stop, stretch and make a pit stop for any treat is a good thing. I am learning to stay away from the blizzards and what a great selection they have. Once an order is placed, you get a number and put on your table. One of their staff comes with your food once it is ready. More of a one the go type of eateries. Convenient to get gas, use the restroom facilities, get food from the gas station or walk on over to Dairy Queen and grab your treats rest up and back on the road we go. read more

I remember the DQ fondly as a child but this location does not bring back any of those great memories. My visit here consisted of an awkward order process followed by a long wait. As a pit stop off of I-77, the one thing you do not want to be is slow. People are in a hurry to go somewhere...so...let's speed it up! The food I had was okay (I ordered a BBQ sandwich of all things). However, the slow service and watery tea had me wishing I waited a few more exits before stopping. FYI we drove an hour to come to this location then had to drive around for 30 minutes waiting on the dining room to open because the sign on the door said open 12-6. We came back at 12 to find out that the dining room is only open M-Sat 12-6 and closed on Sunday. That would have been nice to know, especially with gas prices the way they are. Get more than two effin' bathroom stalls! Seriously. There are certain details that just cannot be overlooked when opening a restaurant, gas station, convenience store or some combination of the three. This is one of them. It's a shame really. Conveniently located off of I-77, this gas station/restaurant lures you in from afar. It is a huge impressive looking building with pumps as far as the eye can see. The spacious interior looks so modern, it could be from the not so distant future and the parking is ample. The BP convenience store has a wine section, coffee section, crappy souvenirs section, tons of beef jerky and even sells homemade preserves and such. The DQ has the look and feel of an above average restaurant not attached to a gas station. This is the perfect place to stop for gas and a bite to eat, right? It would be but for the fact that the bathroom situation is absurd. 2 stalls for the women and 1 stall and 1 urinal for the men? This makes absolutely no sense. The line for the ladies' room wrapped around the store and moved slowly. It took my girl a half an hour to get to go. With the men, you get into this issue of whether or not guys are supposed to wait in the bathroom like we do at a ballgame, (even though this restroom is the size of a closet) form a line outside, or have a set number of guys inside, then form a line. The 10 or so guys and I came to an unspoken consensus that 3 would wait inside and the rest would form a line and come in one at a time when someone left. And they only have one trash can. What the hell is that all about?!!! In a place this big I just don't get it. There was one fairly small trash can in front of the convenience store overflowing with garbage. It literally had trash piled up around it. Having to step over piles of garbage is not exactly how you want to enter a place of business. I wanted to throw out some used coffee cups from the car while getting gas and came across this land fill. After walking around the place twice, I realized that that was it and had to hold onto my garbage for the next time we stopped. Not cool, DQ. Not cool. read more

Asked for a kid cone with sprinkles and a banana split. Smallest most pathetic banana split I ever saw for $4.00. Charged me extra for substituting peanut butter instead of pineapple. Cone had no sprinkles on it, corrected version had barely no sprinkles on it! When I asked for more sprinkles, I got an annoyed look. Young staff, some need retraining . Also out of small lids. This is our favorite stop when we regularly travel from northern Virginia to Charlotte. The restaurant and adjoining mart are always very clean, and we have always had good service.
