I decided late one night coming back from Woodman's to stop at this Dairy Queen, having never stopped here before. There was a line of cars around the side since it was 9 PM and the only thing open really in the area. I ordered a fish sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a burger. We did have a bit of a wait, but I would say it was less than 10 minutes. Honestly, with the other reviews I read here, I was pleasantly surprised with the wait time. My last two experiences were a big disappointment The first time I got a chocolate shake and it was so thin it was like drinking chocolate milk. Tonight I bought box of Buster bars and put them in an insulated bag and drove about 2 miles home (the temperature was in the 70's). When I took them out of the box, my fingers went right through the chocolate coating in the package. The stick came right out when I tried to remove one from the package; They are not very satisfying when you have to eat them out of a bowl with a spoon and the ice cream is nearly liquid. I was very disappointed today. I don't go very often but once the weather turns warmer, I like to grab a banana split blizzard. I asked for an extra pump of chocolate sauce because I like it a lot of chocolate. Sad to my surprise got the bill 768 they charge me an extra $.89 for that pump of chocolate, it wasn't any more chocolate than a regular!! They are always super slow at giving you your food and letting you order, the tables are also always dirty. If you order online, it takes even longer and they often forget about your order and don't give it to you for a long time. Overall very very slow service and will not be coming here again. read more

I went to Dairy Queen on Birch St in Eau Claire, WI today around 5:30pm with a client I work for. There appeared to be one person in the back cooking food, possibly a manager, and 3 younger employees. there were only 2 other tables being used, and the drive thru was pretty slow. The garbage was over flowing, and we had no choice but to leave our garbage on top of the tray holder, every table was dirty, so i had to take napkins and clean our table the best I could. while we were eating the possible manager, and 3 younger workers all stood around and very loudly and clearly made remarks about being crazy, and going to the psych ward. very inappropriate conversation for my client to have to listen to when they have a mental health diagnosis. As I'm leaving, I need to grab ice cream cupcakes. the young boy tries to help me, but asks his manager for help to make sure he was doing it correctly, and the manager appeared to not appreciate having to teach his employee. As I left they were all just standing around talking. the food was good, and fresh, and the girl in the back with the blue hair seemed to be the only one doing their job. will probably not go back to this location ever. read more

I love this Dairy Queen. I've been going here for years and the same staff work there. They're always fun, nice, and seem to like working there. They always remember me and know that I like blizzards with something peanut butter in it. One staff even noticed that I changed my hair and complimented me. Most importantly, they always get my order right. I've since moved away from this side of town but I go out of my way now to go to this location because they stone cold rock! Ignore the bad reviews. My daughter and I went through the drive-thru and ordered two large, swirl ice-cream cones. We got to the window and the cones that were waiting for us looked like mediums. I told the girl at the window we ordered two large cones. She told us she rung it up as mediums and told the other worker she needed two large cones. He said they were larges. She adjusted the price to large and I paid and left. My daughter and I were not convinced these were large cones. So I went to another Dairy Queen close by and ordered a large to compare. Just went there for mother's day dessert. First we waited forever for our simple order. Another family had waited over 40 minutes for hot dogs and ice cream. When the lady tried to complain the young cashier started an argument with her. I had heard the young cashier muttering under her breath as we wanted for our order. I think I will try another Dairy Queen from now on. I think management may want to have a word with the young cashier about her attitude with customers, after we pay her wages in the end. read more
