My first visit. Well start with the positive - The place is fairly nice inside a family sports bar vibe. The beer selection is pretty vast with some gems. But our food was terribly slow nearly an hour waiting for chicken wings and kids Mac and cheese. It came out warm-ish like it had been sitting for a long time. The boneless wings were overcooked to a dry rubber like texture. These were FAR worse than a McDonadls chicken nugget. I'd have complained but didn't see our server again and after an hour wait didn't care anymore, I should have listened to my 6 year old and gone to the arches but I came here because I didn't want to eat crap read more

Food was good. Paid almost $20 for one sod and one ice tea because server did not tell us it wasn't free refills. Also didn't see this on the food menu or the bar menu. When we asked our server about it she said....oh sorry. Very disappointing to pay $10 for a glass of ice tea. Fantastic service and pretty decent food! It was hard to decide what I wanted off of the menu because there were so many good looking options. I got talked into the walleye tacos and looking back wish I would've tried one of the other things I had my eyes on. This was the first visit for my husband, mom and me. We were in a group of nine people, and our server, Grace, gave us perfect service from start to finish!! The bar puts out really good mixed drinks. I ordered the turkey banh mi with truffle fries, and the others ordered the chopped cheese sandwich and truffle shroom burger. A few minutes after ordering the server came out and said they were out of the banh mi, which was a total bummer since it was only 2 p.m. on a Thursday, so I ended up ordering the brown sugar bacon burger. My mom loved her truffle shroom burger, hubby was unimpressed with his chopped cheese sandwich and said he wouldn't order it again. This is my second time here. First time was great. This time, was not so much. Our blonde server brought out waters and a Dr Pepper for my daughter. She proceeded to accidentally launch the entire Dr Pepper into my lap. She apologized and moved us to another booth and pointed me to the restroom. I ran my white shirt under the water in the sink and did my best to sponge myself off with the paper towel in the bathroom. But the remainder of my dinner was quite miserable as I stuck to the booth in my sticky, wet shorts and sticky,soaking-wet shirt. She then brought me a mixed drink made with tonic instead of club soda. She stated that she never knew there was a difference. She forgot to bring a new drink and when she finally brought a new drink, it didn't taste like it had any vodka at all. The bartender argued that it did but agreed to make another one. We told him to make it a double at this point. Our server seemed to, understandably, want to avoid us and forgot to bring us new, dry menus and eventually we called her over to ask for menus and to place our order. She forgot to bring us silverware, straws, and napkins since our originals were unusable after the Dr Pepper debacle. She did say that she took our drinks off of the tab for the inconvenience. We paid our $90 bill for the three of us but do not have plans to return. read more

We stopped here on the way back home from visiting my family in Madison. It was a Sunday afternoon and our typical Cousins restaurant spot is closed on Sundays. We decided to try this tap house randomly. We ordered a few beers and I have to say, they have a generous list to choose from. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We started with an order of cheese curds. This was the best part of the visit. HUGE cheese curd squares. Very squeaky! They were fresh. The jalapeño cheeseburger was good, it was just over cooked. The fries were served hot. The ahi tuna bowl was okay. It looked a little overdone from what I am used to seeing. The restaurant itself is very large and has lots of seating. I would stop back again as I frequent this trip a few times each year, but that's only because I'm able to grab a beer and the curds. There's not much else around if Cousins is closed. We had a bloody Mary that was pretty good with a $2 upcharge for Titos. The spotted cow chaser added another $2 but the server didn't mention that it would cost more. It was a very small chaser so it should have been brought up. Mayonnaise and jalapeños also had a charge that the server didn't mention. The steak bowl and Ahi Tuna appetizer went very well together! The quantity was so huge I took it home and ended up getting 3 meals from it. I even cut up the steak into smaller pieces and tossed it around in the leftover hoisin sauce which made it fantastic. Meredith was a hoot! The one restaurant we stopped at while on our lake trip was Northern Tap House in Eau Claire. They have a great tap list and food that pairs wonderfully with those beers. The patio is also dog friendly for those that want to bring fido along like us. Full Spectrum by 3 Sheep's Brewing: A Fruited Sour Ale with Blackberry, Passionfruit and Lemongrass. Light and thirst quenching while providing pleasant sweetness from the fruit. Not overly tart and the lemongrass provided a herbal spiciness. Ellsworth Curds: Smaller than their signatures, these are the classic state fair take on the Wisconsin staple. Perfectly fried Wisconsin cheese curds served with a sweet chili sauce that gives a unique twist on the classic app. Curd Burger: Two Certified Angus Beef patties with provolone cheese, giant cheese curds, and house burger sauce. We were seated promptly...a group of six on a Monday around 11 AM. We ordered our drinks and were promptly forgotten. It took nearly 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive. DO NOT order curbside takeaway. We ordered online and selected curbside which was our mistake apparently. After pulling into a designated takeaway stall we called and alerted that here. It took 5 times trying to call to even get through to them and then they told us it was being boxed up. 25 minutes later finally went in after trying to call and no answer only to find our food had been sitting out. Why have curbside if you don't actually follow thru? Would have been fine if they told us we had to go inside to get food but nothing indicated we had to do that.
