What caught my attention was Phosphates. As a child the local dairy had a soda setup and served phosphates. So I had to go and check out the South Side Soda Shop. It was a blast from the past. We were seated immediately and got our drink order in. I got a cherry phosphate and water. I also ordered 1/2 lb of peel and eat shrimp and a Italian Hoagie. The cook got me extra horseradish for my cocktail sauce. They were great. The Italian Hoagie was exactly like an East Coast hoagie. Oil and vinegar with oregano.
