It was a bit confusing how to order. Someone walked up and tried explaining it, but I opened a tab at the bar to order beer. Then I was supposed to order food at the table. I didnt know how they would link the two together. Im sure this was a newbie experience Food came out quick and hot. Some interesting options on the menu. Very delicious. On a Saturday afternoon the place was hopping. They have a variety of seating options, long tables, high tables and bar seating. They have a wide selection of beers. We did not order food, but many customers did and the smash burgers looked great. You do have to order at the bar, and the line was pretty long with only one server, but she was friendly. My wife and I ate here for dinner tonight cause it's been on my Yelp list for a while! We were in Goshen, which was about 8 miles away to this brewery but she trusted the reviews so we made the beautiful drive through Amish Country from Goshen to Middlebury here in Indiana. The ambiance and food was on point and made this quick trip well worth it! It was hard to believe that this brewery was in a strip mall. You order drinks at the bar and also can order food at the same time but we waited to order until we sat ourselves at a table and had our food delivered to us by one of the servers. My smash burger was amazing... I got the Fig & Pig Single Smash burger with an added side of onion rings and my wife got the Chicken Blueberry Goat Cheese Pita and loved it! She doesn't always love goat cheese but it wasn't too overwhelming for her. She also got an extra side of the cranberry walnut side salad and didn't like the dressing but I enhaled it for her. First time here. Was greeted right away , by a very friendly and helpful waitress. We ordered a Patty Melt and a brisket style melt. They are known for their smash burgers/sandwiches. They all have fun names, but I couldn't remember the names of ours. My Patty Melt was SO good! Creamy, crispy hot! Everything a Patty Melt should be! I ordered mine with potato chips, which were nothing special-not house made, but they did the job! Hubby ordered the brisket melt with chips as well and really enjoyed it as well! Both sandwiches came with a dill pickle spear. Vibe is old rock/grateful Dead music with plenty of tvs to watch any sport that is on. I wandered over from Shipshewana and really enjoyed this brewery. Great beer choices, a nice menu of unique options, and friendly staff made it a great choice. I had the chicken cranberry goat cheese pita and it was amazing! Such a nice mix of flavors and it went well with the beer selections. My Wife and I were visiting Middlebury thanks to Ryan Trahan's "50 States in 50 Days" series, and were looking for somewhere to eat. Our Airbnb host recommended Wedgewood, and my life has been forever changed for the better. I ordered an Orange Dreamsicle (absolute gas by the way) Jalapeño cheese curds (also amazing) and best of all- the PBJ Smash. When I say this is the best smash burger I've had in my life- just know Ryan and Haley- you missed out on not eating here with how much you love burgers! I have already considered the 3 hour+ round trip being worth it. We will definitely be back- because we talked about getting the Raspberry Jalapeño Jam as a dipping sauce next time! Uncomfortable seating- you'll either be by the door (and potentially freeze), or have to manage on stools at high tops. Food was OK- hubs and I both had burgers- I had a single which was only slightly better than the kids burger I had at Burger King this afternoon. You're prompted to order in your phone- so, your phone is out. Also, you'll have no where to add customization like "extra mustard and pickles please." I understand that it is likely going for a fast casual sports bar vibe so maybe I'm just not the target demographic. What really sets me on edge however is that the suggested tip is 15 to 20% when I have ordered everything myself, cannot customize as I want, and the person bringing me the food is taking 10 steps from the counter to my table with no other service. (No water or utensils brought to the table. Food took about 25 minutes from order to table.) I hate the preemptive tip culture where you are tipping prior to any service being rendered- therefore the tip becomes more of a perceived reflection on what a generous person you are versus any reflection on the service you have experienced (since you're tipping in advance of service.) If you want to drink and watch a game, perhaps this is perfect for you. read more

Great beer, wine, liquor, food and service - what's not to like! We discovered Wedgewood at an area Beer Fest and finally made a visit on Christmas Eve. It's local in a strip mall in Middlebury, but cute and inviting on the inside. They only had 5 beers on tap and don't do flights, but offer tastes and half pound. We had the Roadhouse and DIPA along with a half pour of the stout - all were excellent and well crafted. They have a nice menu with apps, smashburgers, a few sandwiches and a salad. The hubs and I split the Classic Smashburger and subbed the handcut fries with beer cheese. The burger was perfect and fries were well seasoned (could have been a little crispier). You order at the counter and I loved the fact they noticed we were sharing and offered to cut the burger in half for us and served with an extra basket and a pickle. Service was great with employees regularly checking on tables, clearing empties, cleaning and sanitizing between customers. Everyone was so friendly! They also have a couple guest taps with ciders along with mixed drinks and two wines. We will definitely be back! P.S. My husband loves when a brewery offers their stickers without having to be asked (crazy not too!). read more

I was there with a friend on a Friday evening/night, and I really liked it. It's set up like a typical craft brewery with a combination of long communal tables and smaller round tables as well. You order at the bar and your food is brought out to you. The lady who took my order was super friendly and gave good suggestions on what beer to try. TVs were showing sports, however I felt the piped in music was a little too loud. The beer we tried was flavorful, and I had the smashburger with fries which was perfection. We ordered by phone which can take awhile. Once your order is in, then it takes awhile to know what the status of the order. When our waitress came out with our drinks we knew they received our order, but still didn't know when the rest of our order might arrive. Possible using the "old fashioned" walk-up order to a person might have been better for tracking what was happening with our order. The onion rings were delicious and our smashed burgers were good, though not a light meal by any means. I am curious to try some of the other menu items, so will return in the future. We stopped in here for a quick lunch. We tried the burgers and they are smashed just right with the crinkly edges. Loved them! The spicy chicken sandwich was pleasantly spicy and is better than the fast food spicy chicken sandwiches. The Reuben was tasty and we had the French fries with beer cheese.
