I understand they were extremely busy, and I know working at Waffle House isn't easy during a rush. My frustration wasn't about the wait--it was the way the situation was handled. I felt like I was treated as if using a birthday coupon made me less of a customer. Whether I'm paying full price or redeeming a promotion, I'm still a paying customer (especially after being charged extra for the blueberries), and I would have appreciated a little more patience and courtesy. Hopefully this was just an off day, but I left disappointed by both the service and the fact that I paid extra for something I never received.
