I had to wait 19 minutes for a small chocolate sundae and a small strawberry sundae and a small banana milkshake. I was 15 minutes before anyone even went back by the ice cream machine and even squirted out the ice cream and slopped the chocolate sauce and strawberry sauce on the sundaes. They were not at all busy. The girl at the cash register just stood there on her phone and when I finally complained to the short older woman who finally came up and started making the sundaes that take all of 30 seconds to make the girl on her phone said I am not allowed back there. I guess she is also not allowed to use her brain to think that guy has been standing there a crazy amount of time waiting for what should be our simplest order. There is really no excuse to allow me to stand there for that amount of time right in front of them other than they simply could care less. I will never go to this Dairy Queen again. Sadly, we had come back from the Newburgh Elementary school track meet in Boonville and drove right past the DQ there to specifically come to this one. Also, not a single apology. Thinking how much we enjoyed the fries/Texas toast/gravy/ chicken strips basket, we ordered it. On in 6/9 pm. Disappointing is an overstatement. Cold, soggy fries, no hint of recently been prepared. Texas toast was as if they had pulled it from the package and sprayed butter flavored oil, then put it in the box without touching the grill at all. Gross. The gravy was thin as milk. Ordered a birthday cake a month ago and go to pick up today, and they say they haven't received online orders in over a month... didn't offer any substitute, didn't offer any compensation, nothing. Only come here if you want ice cream. If you want food prepare to wait at least 30 mins. I've been waiting for over 45 minutes still haven't gotten my food. I have my kid that also needs fed. I need answers on why the management sucks because we've spoken to the manager 3 times and still waiting on everything. Several orders after us have gone out, kids meals and chicken baskets. Exactly what we were waiting on. Several other customers had to wait as well and they weren't even busy. Steady at best. Wish I could give negative stars here. Worst service in the area--and lately this area has been bad for untrained, inexperienced staff. Came here with several families after soccer season and some have left with refunds. Many have dealt with management. There is a sticky film on all the burger/ chicken strip containers as well as on the condiment packets--the kitchen staff is looking as if they are challenging management to make them work, and customer complaints are still being brought to management. read more

This is the worst DQ I have ever been to. I wish I was kidding, because I love my blizzards. The terrible service makes me never want to come to this location ever again. Didn't receive my mobile order for over 30 minutes, while waiting in store for at least 15 minutes. Everyone who ordered after I told them I was waiting on my order, got theirs before mine even got started. When I asked about my blizzards, I was told, "I haven't gotten to that yet." If I could give half stars, I'd go with 3 1/2. Staff is hit or miss - I've had good visits and not so good visits. Food is always good, but sometimes it gets to you faster than others. I shouldn't need to repeat my order more than once, especially when I'm standing right in front of you inside. One cool thing about this location is that they have cookie cakes inside the sundae cups, so they're individual sized. Not sure what they call them, but I haven't seen them at any other DQ so they're worth checking out if you love DQ cakes but don't have a birthday in your near future. read more

This has to be the worst DQ in the tristate area. The soda machine is leaking water all over the floor in the lobby, no one is cleaning tables, there are tons of kids in here, and all of the people behind the counter are kids. I'm guessing they all go to school together because they all seem to know each other and are goofing around while people wait in line. When I got my ice cream, it had been sitting waiting for someone to bring it out so my scoop was melted and the double cheeseburger I got for my daughter was cold. I think the meat might have been sitting in the grill because it felt cold. The burger was trash, the ice cream was trash, the service was super trash and this experience was total garbage. I would complain to the owner if I really thought it would do any good. Don't waste your time at DQ in Newburgh. It's a complete waste of time and money. read more

The cashier was rude and although he said if I put the condiments on myself to save money, he just dropped my cup and number rudely. There was also a dog that was no a service dog in there. It was at one point behind the counter which is not sanitary. As a manager, I would have made sure that was not happening in my store. We had ordered a birthday cake for 04-20-20 that was confirmed the week before by email. Arrived to pick up the cake at designated time and date and was told they didn't have the ingredients to fulfill the order but will sell us another at a significantly higher price? We have no problem with a misunderstanding or error but to confirm a order and not enough decency to contact by email prior or then to attempt to sub with something at double the price. Unacceptable. If I could give this a negative star rating, I would. We have been going to this DQ almost every other week for quite awhile...after tumbling. For about 2 months now, every time we went in to get ice cream and/or dinner, they told us they were closing early. They are supposed to be open till 10pm. One evening it was before 9pm and they told us we would have to take our order to go or we could sit outside on the patio area, but they locked the doors and we sat outside in the dark. Tonight was the absolute worst! We got there around 8:45 PM or so and they told us we would have to take our order to go...even though they should have been open until 10. They got our order wrong, told us they were out of chocolate syrup for one of the blizzards, basically told us that they had already made all of our order and that we already had everything even though we were still waiting on one more item. My personal favorite was listening to one of the girls in the kitchen area drop "F" bomb after "F" bomb while we were up there waiting with our kids. This place is a joke! Who is the manager? Are they aware the store is closing early quite often? Do they know what kind of people they have working there? I have to assume they don't have a clue. read more

Very slow service! Pulled up to order at drive through with three cars in front of us. We received 1/2 of our order and then sat and waited withdrive threw lady's back to us. Finally got her attention and asked for a refund on items not delivered. She said they were waiting on the ice cream to freeze. We got our refund for items not received at 31 minutes after ordering. This is unbelievable that it took that long and no one communicated a single word. I don't even want to rate them at a 1 star. I will never return to this DQ!! read more

Sorry DQ Newburgh. With me 2 strikes and your out. If I wanted a vanilla ice cream I would have ordered a cone and saved myself a couple of bucks (each visit) in the process. If I order a Oreo blizzard it's my expectation based on your advertisement there will be Oreos with the ice cream. The Henderson DQ has you beat "hands down" in quality AND in service. I live 3 minutes from the DQ Newburgh but will drive the 25 minutes to Henderson the next time I have a blizzard craving. Such a disappointment. read more
