Today is August 6, 2024 At 2:53 PM. I am writing this letter to express my disappointment with the Dairy Queen in Round Lake Illinois. I went to the Dairy Queen in Round Lake Illinois, but first, I went to the one in Antioch, Illinois before I went to the Dairy Queen in Round Lake and there Internet was working fine. I am done playing with their games at the Round Lake location. In my personal opinion and my friends opinions is that they do not want people to order from the Internet because they don't want people to get there points and to get their free items that they are entitled to like birthday items and promotions items. I also went to the Dairy Queen the other day in Libertyville no problems there. I only have problems with the Dairy Queen in Round Lake Illinois and also, I will be going to the dairy queen on the eighth of this month in Libertyville. Dairy Queen gets alot of my business. I have been a loyal customer, but unfortunately, my last interactions have been very frustrating. As a customer I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and ensure that online is working properly. I Believe if your Internet is down I believe you should price match the online prices. At my company I work for we price match if my company internet is down which is really not working. It is called good Customer Service. Furthermore, I have been experiencing frequent internet connectivity issues, which have prevented me from placing orders for special items. This is not only inconvenient but also affects my ability to take advantage of promotions, sales and points. I urge you to investigate this issue and improve your internet connectivity to provide a seamless shopping experience for your customers. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the poor customer service I received during my visit to your ice cream place. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by rude and absurd and ridiculous behavior from your staff members. The two Spanish ladies were rude and the other lady was nice to me. I was shocked and disrespected by this treatment, especially from a business that aims to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for customers. As a paying customer I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy. The two individuals behavior fell far short of these basic expectations. Last nights visit to DQ went very well!! At first I was concerned cause the line was literally wrapped around the building and almost stopping traffic. Everyone must have wanted that late night dessert. But don't let that change your mind, they get through the line pretty quickly! Order was taken just fine and DQ staff member at the window was very friendly. The ice cream is well.. DQ. So it's not bad. But good lord the line is insane. They take forever and are either understaffed or don't care. It's never improved over the years so it can't be staff. More likely not enough folks working here. The Mexican ice cream place and Orlando's two blocks away are better anyway. read more

I come here onces a week the older lady's out such sweethearts!! There services is awesome and there's just so sweet!!

Went there recently and the line was backed up all the way down the street and took probably took an hour and a half to get through. Turns out that their ordering speaker is broken so you have to order at the window... but the workers were very nice and pleasant despite it being super crowded. Would recommend that they get a better service going to get people through there faster. read more

I don't know who's running this restaurant now it used to be decent I went there today and experienced a 25-minute wait for food and ice cream. My food then had to be brought out three different times because they kept forgetting items. The last time they brought out my cone which supposed to be a medium was the size of a child's cone and I had to request spoons and napkins of which I received spoons but never any napkins and finally just drove off in frustration. They were not even that busy when I arrived needless to say when I left they were extremely busy given the fact that one customer took 25 minutes to help. Icky Vicky the Manager. I will never be back to this location because of their so-called manager, Vicky. To make a long story short, they have horrible customer service. Vicky yelled at me in front of my 12 year old sister when we drove all the way back from home back to DQ when they got our order wrong. We explained to her that we were doing something sweet for our parents and she said "I dont need the whole story!". Along with that, she made a remark to my sister for taking a bite of the ice cream in the first place if it was for my parents as if that isn't allowed? Completely unprofessional. I came back to the store 3 times and she never remade the ice cream for us. She stirred the ice cream with her unwashed hands and said "look see the brownie is right here" and handed it back. Horrible customer service. Asked the cashier a question and had a manager yelling at me from the drive thru. Seems very unprofessional. It was just a question you don't have to be rude. I always enjoy what I get from here. The hot food is prepared fresh and you can taste it. If you haven't tried their hot food you're missing out. I usually end up ordering something from the grill and a milkshake whenever I am here. Both things take a bit of time to make, their milkshakes are a labor intensive process involving adding ingredients, using a blender and adding toppings. You get restaurant quality food but with the restaurant wait. The only downside is there is no seats in the tiny lobby. This location only has outdoor seating but is open year round. Hot food is only available until 8PM, the normal cold fare until close. read more

I have a gluten sensitivity, and whenever I go, the people working are always very pleasant about either using a clean machine to make my Blizzard or cleaning one of the machines to make it. So disappointed in this place. For starters it's always packed (inside and out). The service is incredibly slow and when you finally get to the window for your ice cream, you're handed an abomination of what an ice cream cone should be (see pics). I'm not sure who is training these people, but it's clearly not working. I would think making a cone would be one of the simplest tasks, apparently it's not. I've literally had four of my last five cones look like the one in the pictures. Really!? To make matters worse, the cones always taste stale and look like someone (or something) has been nibbling on them. Gross. About the only saving grace for this location is they do have butterscotch dip for their cones. It's a shame such deliciousness is wasted on poor execution and customer service. I've given up on this location. It's a total bummer because it's so close to home. If you can, avoid this location. There are far better out there for sure. read more

Visited this location many times, always good customer service but very skimpy on the toppings if you order their sunday ice cream. Love their soft serve vanilla cone dipped in chocolate but chocolate flavor soft serve is always melted for some reason. Also I never seen employee at this location wash their hands after handling money, it's almost always that the same person takes your order/ money and prepare your ice cream unless they are busy and have enough staff that day. read more

I've very unhappy with this location... I've been there twice and I won't go back... the first time I was like ok they're busy but after tonight when the manager (wearing a polo) did the same thing it's clearly the way they're trained and it's ridiculous... I won't go back... I always order a twist cone and the blizzards for everyone else... for whatever reason they make my cone first ... sit it on the dirty counter next to the Register... I pull up and my cone is sitting there melting... they take payment... stand and talk to each other with the window closed while they are making blizzards... I'm sitting there watching my cone melt... still haven't given it to me... windows closed... finally blizzards are done now showing me upside down give them to me... My wife and I go in there all the time. There used to be a bunch of young girls busting there buts in there and at the same time were always extremely friendly. There seems to be newer employees as of late. I just went in there and because the drive-thru line was so long, I decided to just walk in. Only one person in front of me. That person ordered and then stepped back so I can go up. I stood there for almost 5 minutes and watched 3 girls walk past and look at me. Not a smile or even a "hello" or "we'll be right with you". Finally I was simply asked what I would like. They seem to have issues getting orders correct. They can't differentiate between someone saying Reese's pieces or Reese's peanutbutter cup. I ordered and then politely requested that they make sure they put Reese's pieces in the blizzards and not the peanutbutter cups. The girl said, "Ya. Pieces." I said they have messed up several times before and given me the opposite of what I ordered. The girl seemed unfazed by it and then said, "Ya.... That happens." WTF???? Anyways....... That was the worst experience I've had there now. Someone might want to teach these employees a little courtesy, empathy and/or at least how to smile. I can handle a mistake once in a while, but being unfriendly and somewhat rude will make people not want to go back anymore! I usually give places 3 strikes. Considering all the screwed up ice cream orders, and now this, I'm going to consider this strike 2. Next time, I just won't go back.... read more
