Other than receiving pickles on a burger I specifically ordered plain, everything was okay. Unfortunately, I am allergic to pickles, so this was more than just a minor mistake. I clearly stated in my online order that the burger should be plain with only cheese, and I trusted that those instructions would be followed. As a result, I became sick after eating part of the burger, which was extremely disappointing and concerning. I understand mistakes happen, but this experience has made me hesitant to order again. Customers should be able to trust that special requests and allergy-related instructions will be taken seriously. Especially when it's online and easy to read and follow. Do not order delivery. Just a wet and cold mess. The food is probably good in the restaurant or picked up fresh, but the DoorDash was late. The box was soaked inside from condensation. I literally tried drying it out with napkins, but the food itself was already wet Fries were soggy and lukewarm. No ketchup luckily I had some, but it didn't help. I'll never order this way again. Twisted Burger is an amazing option if you are in the area and looking for a great burger. The staff is friendly and professional and they definitely added to my overall dining experience. The ambiance is enjoyable enough and again, their burgers are definitely pretty solid. The menu itself is pretty diverse with burgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps, and more. Also, don't miss out on their French fries. They are also great and French fries only add to a burger as its definitive side. Twisted Burger has a few locations in the area and while I cannot speak for all of them, my visit to this particular Twisted Burger was definitely a stellar experience. The food was great and came out relatively quickly, even with a group of 6 people. Everyone enjoyed their meals having various wraps, burgers and grilled cheese. FYI - The restaurant was very small, so going there during peak hours will present an issue with groups. read more

1st time at this chain. A few things to note... Burger came out hot and not warm like so many other burger chains. I had the Rodeo burger which came with fries and it was just under $10 not including tax. Good price! Burger filled out the bun nicely and was not overpowered but the condiments. Good proportionally with the toppings. Fries were a different story. Hand cut I believe, but no seasoning and tasted slightly burnt like the grease needs changing. Had a moment to check out twisted burger. There were a variety of burgers to choose from, I got the black widow burger, and the hubby got the twisted burger. We got chicken tenders for the kids. My burger was the perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and creamy. The shakes were the perfect ending. The service was pretty fast. There was a minor mix up with our fries but they quickly corrected the issue. The restaurant is super cute on the inside with a red huge. Been coming here for YEARS! I'm 23 now and have fond memories of coming here when I was 11. Over the years of changing ownership (I believe), the restaurant has NOT SUFFERED A DROP IN QUALITY. Even during COVID, they still pumped our fantastic quality food and at a more than fair price. I usually get their burgers, but this time I branched out and got the campfire wrap. Absolutely spectacular! I knew it was going to be good, because the entire menu is great, but this was truly spectacular. SO THANKFUL they're open and doing well. read more

We have frequented Twisted Burger plenty of times and always been pleased. However, we went tonight and were a bit disappointed. The size of the burgers has shrunk quite a bit even from the last time we ordered. When it comes to the California burger it was very underwhelming with size decrease and minimal toppings making it not taste like it has in the past. The burgers used to be thicker and more toppings, where they were falling off the burger. There is usually a bit of heat to it, but not tonight and hardly any avocado at all. The onion rings used to be fresher and seemed more homemade from what I remember. But tonight they were 1/2 the size from what they used to be and appeared to be the frozen kind like I could get from the store. I hope this was just a one time occurrence and it's not a new change to their menus. read more

We've came to twisted Burger and the past and really enjoyed this local spot. They have really unique burgers and food combinations overall. However, we just went in last week and did a pick up order. While waiting for my order I noticed a stack of pallets filled with bread that were sitting directly on the floor. This is a direct violation of health code. Seeing things like these as a customer always makes me worry what else might be going on back in the kitchen that I can't see. Last minute decision for burgers after Doctor appointment in area. Googled & this was the first listing that came up. So glad we decided to have lunch here. Menu is on wall and broken down in categories. The special burger of day was at counter with description. It was blue cheese with fried onions, lettuce, tomato & I had the sauce on side. My husband had the Diner burger with cheese. The burgers are not smashed but they are not gut bombs either. I'm not a fry person but theirs were delicious. Well done with small crunchy's. I ordered a kids meal of cheeseburger fries for my son. The food didn't take long to get to us. I dug in to my burger right away. With the very first bite, I was in awe and liked it a lot. It was flavor and spicy like advertised. The El Diablo is a big, juicy, spicy burger topped with grilled jalapenos, grilled onions, Habanero sauce, pepper jack cheese,lettuce, tomato and Chipotle mayo. It was da bomb. It tasted just as good with the veggie patty as well. Not to be outdone, the garlic Parmesan fries were also a solid attraction. I couldn't stop eating them. These were some of the best fries I have had. I ate my burger so fast that I was craving for more but because of the fries and the shake (that I ordered later), I didn't have another burger. Before leaving, we ordered milkshakes to go. I had a coffee one, my mom had a cookies & cream one and my dad had a strawberry one. The menu overwhelms with an assortment of "named/themed" burgers that are not all that. I'd wish they'd focus on a couple and perfected them instead of selling gimmicks. But, people like gimmicks. PRO TIP: If you're dining with someone else, have them grab a table while you order. And don't be afraid to ask people if someone is actually sitting at the bar (or if they're just obnoxiously using a stool as a coat rack). Great little location that keeps you in the hustle and bustle of the Grayslake Farmers Market on the weekends. It's a small greasy spoon type diner with a focus on burgers. You order at the counter and then can find a seat. There's maybe 10 tables for four, 1 table for 2, and a bar with about 8 seats. The staff are all rockstars, they never slow down and are quick to clear tables. I ordered the Parmesan garlic fries and the Captain America Burger (cheddar cheese, bacon, bbq sauce, and a onion ring). Both were delish and a must. The burger itself was a good size, clearly made in house, and cooked medium well and still juicy. The bun was also a star, it held up to me trying to shove the whole thing in my mouth. And you should know these fries are obviously made in house too! They did not skimp on the parm... so good! While we were eating the chef came out when the crowd started to die down and personally checked with every diner that their plate was a winner. Love this spot! We will absolutely be back... I look forward to any table claiming challenges that may arise on my next trip and wish luck to any of my challengers that chose to cross me. read more
