My grandma bribed me with the promise of ice cream if I took her to church. I thought it was the least she could do after forcing me to go up with her and eat that terrible, stale cracker. A New York Cheesecake Blizzard was just what I needed to cleanse the palate. We went thru the drivethru and had a good, quick experience. Everyone was friendly and we were on way, Blizzards in hand within minutes. My only complaint is that once again, my Cheesecake Blizzard had 2 berries in it. That's it. My grandma's had plenty in it, but she's stingy with her sweets and wouldn't share. I'd like to say that I'll never take my grandma to church again and allow her to force me in to taking communion, but I know I will. I normally come here but tonight just before 10pm a couple cars were in line and suddenly the car in front of us took off mad and as i pulled up the car in front of me was still waiting. I pulled around and noticed another car at the window getting served. They pulled off and I pulled up to make an order. We waited and no one was paying attention. I honked a couple times and a third. My wife got out of the car to knock. Lady by the name of Faye popped her head and rudely said not open. I asked why can't anyone respectfully tell us mean while other cars are lining up. My wife has a seafood allergy and after eating several fries, experienced throat, lips and tongue swelling. Luckily she didn't have to seek medical attention but was understandably scared. I've been to this Dairy Queen a couple times before, but this particular visit has rubbed me the wrong way. I was half an hour early for work so I decided to stop by and pass the time by having ice cream with my girlfriend. One blizzard and one dipped cone. Not too much to ask, right? Almost fifteen minutes later we received our order. A grandmother with her grandson before us waited almost as long as we did, but a father with three children received their ice cream immediately. I'm not sure what took so long. Short handed employees? Slow employees? Lazy ? I don't know. Maybe they assumed that the lack of flow of customers meant they could take their time. You know what? I'm guilty of taking the national chain restaurants for granted and never leave a review for them. Shame on me, that trend stops with this review! My family has always, and I do mean always, received great service and great treats from this store in Seminole. The boxes of Dilly bars kept me happy when I was pregnant last year. The ice cream cake for Father's Day was a nice surprise for the husband. The occasional blizzard run always brings back fond childhood memories for the MIL. Went to DQ date night, Sunday the 14th, with my wife, as a surprise for her birthday, at the Seminole location. She thought I was joking. They had the reserved table set with real forks, knives and napkins Had a Fuji instant camera for us to take pics and little plants on the table. They even brought our food out to us on real plates. The food was good dont get me wrong I had a burger combo meal with a blizzard. About 30mins after I had finished my food and blizzard. My stomach began to feel uneasy as I rushed to the restroom I had a little accident but I got to the toilet and have been doing my business for quite some time now. Long enough for me to create a Yelp account and write this review. I've come here many times but have never had this experience it's almost as if they had put laxitives in my blizzard or something. Two days in a row - first walk in then drive thru. I'm not a regular DQer but am enjoying summer. Quick and friendly service. Honored their discount. Next time I'll try the Heath blizzard but the mint Oreo, midnight truffle, choco extreme, and smoothies all met standards.
