Fantastic! You've gotta try this place. We look for donuts and ice cream in our travels across…read moreAmerica and this shop had delicious ice cream sundaes and pastries. The service was so great and friendly. We both ordered the fudge brownie sundae and we're so happy we did. The brownie was decadent and the ice cream was smooth and delicious. It was even topped with a chocolate covered wine soaked cherry. We even purchased pastries to try later; a peanut butter stack and a key lime cream pie. I highly recommend this place. For the adults in your group, there's a tap room in the back. By the way, the treats we bought were delicious too. Wish I lived near there so I could frequent this place.... yummmm

Yeah I don't know what the owner is thinking having someone like that represent their business because she is so disrespectful and inconsiderate towards both her staff and the customers. The food and ice cream is amazing but it's not worth it when the whole time I'm ordering I hear her muttering mean comments about the staff behind them. And the use of Ai? Oh my god can we not???? Again overall unbelievable, I won't be going to a store that treats their workers so terribly and I recommend you get your good desert from somewhere that cares. If you have the time go to Leones in spearfish, somewhere that doesn't treat their employees like crap

The chocolate ice cream was really good and mixed with the crumbled Oreos perfectly, making each bite have little bits of cookies mixed in the ice cream. Highly recommend! Mom got Lauren's landslide and she really loved it too. She liked the vanilla and chocolate mixed ice cream as well as the huge cookie dough chunks. And how doesn't love caramel and chocolate on top of their ice cream?? We had to wait in line about 20-30 minutes, and then had to wait another 15 minutes or so before they called our name with our finished order at the window so be prepared to wait a little, especially if you visit during the weekend. But overall it was worth it to me. The ice cream was smooth and yummy and I loved the cookie pieces mixed into it.

Despite being close to 9 pm (they had later hours for summertime), it was still bustling with happy customers! The ice cream shop has a cute old timey vibe and has excellent soft serve! I wish we were staying in town more than one night because I'd definitely come back again the next day! I got a dipped soft serve and my husband got a vanilla soft serve root beer float - both were delicious!!

I had wanted to try this brand when we visited the Mt. Rushmore KOA and was sorely disappointed they had so many unique flavors... but none that were multi-allergen friendly. Cue.... BENKY'S! Strange name, but friendly smiles and delicious creaminess-in-a-cup! I get chocolate peanut butter or some variation thereof (my favorite) at pretty much every ice cream place. Makes it easy for me to judge them more fairly. Benky's was creamy, the peanut butter swirled in very thin layers so it basically melted in your mouth... and the cute interior of the ice cream shop gave us a nice, cool air-conditioned place to relax and cool both our insides and outsides at the same time. They also had outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade if you're into running the sweat-race of "Can I finish this before it drips all over my hand or becomes a puddle of goo in my cup?" sort of thing. Overall, good ice cream, good experience and delicious.

We ordered a couple sundaes, one of which was posted with the rest, but were informed it would be $2 more due to the ice cream they used in that particular one. Went back in to grab a couple waters and they had a table pushed up against the cooler door and an employee was standing in the table putting up another light fixture so had to wait...which is fine, but I couldn't help but wonder if they planned to clean the counter/table after standing on them. There were a handful of other customers there besides us. Ice cream was fine but nothing to write home about, especially for the price. Likely will not go back again next time we're in town...just a weird experience overall.
