I came here specifically for a mushroom burger recently as I remember the Peachtree Industrial location was advertising for it months ago. Sadly, two other places I went to in the past couple of months gave me a mushroom burger without the mushrooms! Lol. At both places I didn't complain about it and I've been eating mushrooms at home, but I thought I'd finally try DQ's and see if they'd remember my favorite topping. Well, I guess I waited too long or maybe this location never served them, but there was no mushroom burger on the menu a few days ago and the worker said they don't have it currently. Oh, well! I cut my losses and decided to try their new rotisserie style chicken bites and popcorn shrimp. My love ordered a red velvet blizzard. The service was good and drive-thru at this location was easy enough to get in and out of. We brought everything home and the chicken bites actually tasted better than they looked. Soft, white meat chicken - I'd probably get them again. The popcorn shrimp was standard but also good. My other half's red velvet blizzard was just okay in my opinion. He thought it was decent, but I think we both agreed it tasted a bit artificial. It's no chocolate cake shake from Portillo's or anything (if you know, you know). The texture of the red velvet tasted just like the cookie dough from the last blizzard we had - like the movie theater boxed kind. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not the freshest tasting either - kind of chewy instead of soft. I love DQ!!! The more I come the more I love it! Now, I was worried when I pulled up in the pouring rain and didn't hear a peep from the speaker, but I was graced with a smile and condolence! I ordered the #2 with a mixed drink and no ice! First off thank you Kayla for preparing my special requests because you surely didn't have too! And thank you, thank you, thank you JAVIER!!! Javier was the young gentleman's go took my order with the professionalism, accuracy and speediness that more people need to exhibit when working within the food industry!!! He was so polite and exhibited exceptional customer service! Idk who trains the staff at DQ, or how the food is always to so fresh and hot that you have to go "oohoofah oohoofah", to take a bite, but keep it up!!! I will be finding a reason to take that 3o minute drive in this direction for the customer service and prepared to perfection food! I always have a five star experience when I come here. My daughter and I dropped on after school for a delicious treat. A lot of time I can't think past a small blizzard however, this time I indulged in a dessert that is new on the menu called Chocolate Lava Cake. I wanted to try it because it reminded me of the chocolate lava cakes on the Carnival Cruise Ship. The cake was delicious but doesn't win over the Blizzard in my book. My daughter had her usual Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard. It has been a while since we've visited here but I'm looking forward to visiting again soon. We live nearby and have ordered blizzards from them on multiple occasions. It is 50/50 chance that they will come out right. I usually get an oreo cheesecake blizzard and my husband gets a reese peanut butter cup blizzard with extra toppings. I feel like usually one of ours comes out wrong and I don't notice till i get home because we always go through the drive through. The food and blizzard are fine, nothing special but not bad. The service was absolutely terrible, other than being fast I have no good things to say. The cashier was impatient when we were still trying to figure out what we wanted to eat. They looked like they hated their job and were taking it out on the customers. It made me feel very uncomfortable, and honestly if I hadn't already picked what I wanted to eat I would've left. I've been coming here for a while. I had always hoped they renovate and they recently did! It looks so much more pleasing and modern to the eye now. This DQ has been established since 1940 and I agree with Sylvester T. below that it is a true landmark in Tucker, Georgia. I always get either a vanilla cone (was not stale) or the Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard. Sure hits the spot when you have sweet tooth. I have tried their burgers and fries as well. Not too bad. Never thought I'd write a review on yelp for a dairy queen. Sometimes though, you're just struck by how remarkable it is to actually get a properly made version of what you thought you've been ordering for years. This meal made me realize how low my standards for fast food had become, and how good it could be. And I wasn't at at five guys, farm burger, or an artisanal grass feed beef food truck, but a regular garden variety dairy queen, using the same old frozen factory patties every other dairy queen in America gets. I got a burger here, and this thing looked like something you would see in a television ad. I'm not even a fan of broiled burgers, but there was a delicate note of char in this thing. The lettuce was fresh. I can't even remember the last time I saw lettuce in a burger that looked edible. The soft serve hadn't been spoiled, the cone was crisp. The ice was clean. It's one of those things you didn't even notice was gone until it's right back in front of you. It felt like I was dreaming. The weird part is I walked in a minute before closing, literally the worst possible timing. The staff was too polite to even considering pointing that out, and I didn't even realize until I left. So yeah, five stars for a dairy queen. I went there. No, I don't understand it either. But this is the alpha and the omega of the dairy queen franchise as far as I'm concerned. The only time I come to Dairy Queen is to get a blizzard and every time I come to this location it is an exceptional experience. Every time I come, the blizzard is ice cold and never super soft like the blasts at Bruster's can be sometimes. I really LOVE how the manager (I believe) always says "Stay Safe" as I'm leaving the establishment. It makes me feel genuinely cared for which is something I've never felt at any other fast food establishment. I think this is a really nice touch, especially during these crazy COVID days.
