Food here is okay. My issue is with the blizzards, what they are KNOWN for. I can't remember the last time I had a blizzard that was mixed all the way through. The whole bottom half of the blizzard is just pure vanilla ice cream. It's been like this for a few years now, it's not hit or miss, it's EVERY TIME. I have a family of five, and all five blizzards are half vanilla. Every time. And they must be doing budget cuts because they are so stingy with the toppings/goodies that go into a blizzard. I had them remake a blizzard tonight and I swear there were less goodies inside than the first one. And if you ask for extra toppings, they tell you they aren't allowed. This place is definitely not the same. The manager is old, cranky, lazy, and rude she might be there but she's just there for a paycheck. she does absolutely nothing to help manage the crew. I see is employees standing around, chit chatting, on their phones. The lobby is a mess drink center is empty there's a few lids, no napkins. All of this is happening while she is there, and it doesn't seem to bother anyone. I don't think it's fair to us paying customers who want to continue to bring our kids, and our Little League teams after games to enjoy a meal and some ice cream. we end up disappointed in the quality of service, and cleanliness of this restaurant. for a second there I thought I was in downtown Yakima you got a manager with no teeth employees who are in desperate need of a new uniform it's just not a good look. hire a manager to manage so this place can be great again. The drive thru is definitely priority--leaving people who dine in last. This summer we've been in 3 times and this has occurred every time. We've all been to a Dairy Queen at least once in our life... I've been to this one located in West Valley enough that on occasion, my blizzard is automatically entered into the register. If you're wondering, it's a medium heath with butterfinger mixed blizzard. Whether it's a visit by myself, date night with the wifey, or with the whole family, we've always had great service. Here's the thing that really fascinates me about D.Q. Growing up, a visit to D.Q. meant I would be seeing high school students behind the counter making food. They worked hard and learned the value of good customer care. Each and every time we've been to visit, they still have high school students. The west valley location serves a grill menu, frozen treats, and frozen cakes. They have seating for 50 inside and another 15 outside as well as a drive thru. This location consistently messes up my order, and since I don't eat it until I get home, and it's a 20 minute drive back, their solution is always "give us your name, we'll give you a free item next time" but I don't go back for more than a year when they screw up and nobody knows what I'm talking about anyways. Last time (2022) they gave me a hamburger when I ordered a chicken burger. This time they specifically asked if I wanted the gravy with my chicken basket and then didn't include it. I've been to a few DQ's in my are an have to say this one is the best. I made a stop at this DQ because my grandpa wanted some lunch an the hamburgers we got were really good along with the fries. This placed looked very well staff unlike some others that seem short staffed an have you waiting for your order. I am extremely disappointed in this DQ restaurant. The night staff was extremely lazy! I saw an employee sitting down eating for all customers to see. Anyway I am so extremely angry that I came inside the restaurant and ordered two crispy chicken sandwiches no tomato add cheese. When I got home guess what I got??? Two sandwiches with tomato NO cheese. Looked at the receipt and they charged me for the cheese I never got. The employees are lazy and don't pay attention. Don't come here!! Not worth your money!!!! I called in an order for a frozen birthday cake and specified it was for my "SON". I explained balloons on it was fine and I wanted vanilla ice cream and cookie crumble center. This Dairy Queen has been here for as long as I can remember, and while fast food is not often our first choice, sometimes it's just time for a delicious burger and a blizzard! As there are very limited options on Sunday evenings in West Valley, this place tends to get super busy as people are looking for something to eat but not wanting to cook. Standard Dairy Queen fare, with the ever increasing number of blizzard options that are perpetually delicious. We appreciate the fact that there are now mini through super huge options for the blizzard. It's always nice to be able to feed yourself or be able to feed many friends! Went through the store with my boyfriend to get a little sweet snack, go to open my lid and this is what I was given. It wasn't mixed together at all. All of my toppings were at the top so by the bottom it was vanilla soft serve. Boyfriends was the same way, not mixed well and not filled fully. All in all very underwhelming. read more

I completely understand that there are kids who disbehave but to yell at kids and tell them to get out is rude to people who are paying for there bills and if they want children to get out of the restaurant i understand if they want them out but to yell at them is so very rude i would not recommend letting your kids go there! This place is absolutely disgusting we walked in tonight for my mothers birthday, every table was dirty, there was food on the ground, ants crawling every where. They had no ice in the ice machine for the pop. Half the soda was out of order cause they never changed it. Dairy Queen service has really gone downhill and I don't see any improvement coming. I just waited in line for 20 minutes - 10 minutes to order and 10 to get my food. My sundae was completely melted by the time I got to the window. Luckily we have more choices now in West Valley- I'll just drive 5 minutes further. Edit--. DQ sort of responded but with a generic copy and paste answer that they have answered everyone else. There was no reference to better training, streamlining ordering or better organization in preparation of meals. The $6 lunch at a Rosauers is great. This location is lucky i even gave them one star! I called them to ask what time they close and they told me 11 pm. We then arranged for an Uber driver to pick up our food and called our order in. We were not allowed to Pay over the phone so our Uber driver had to pay for our food. When I called the order in, the gal was in a rush and after each thing I ordered asked me if that was it. I SPECIFICALLY said NO ONIONS because I am allergic. The Uber driver brought our food and to my dismay, I checked my bacon cheeseburger and it had ONION and I only received about 15 French fries in the box. I am allergic and I was hungry. (This could have been a hospital bill DQ would have been responsible for.) I then called nine times until somebody answered. I spoke to Kaylee I explained I was not angry with her but I was upset with the situation. She acted timid and like she didn't know what to do so I asked for a manager. She then proceeded to tell me she was a manager but could do nothing for me and asked me to hold. Another person eventually came on the line and explained they could do nothing for me because they are closed. I would Like to know who runs this place and I would like a return phone call. Saturday, June 22 2:00 PM I went to the drive thru. Ordered a strawberry sundae and I wanted the KC BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich; the sandwich only. I was told I could not order the sandwich only and that it was one of the $5 lunches. I said the menu board says I can buy it as a sandwich or as a combo. Again I was told I could not. So I ordered only the sundae and suggested they correct the menu boards. When I got to the window I was asked if I ordered only the sundae. I said originally I wanted the pulled pork sandwich; the sandwich only. This clerk said we can do that. She turned as if to order it for me. I stopped her because I did not want to wait. Owners must be super tight up for money or really greedy. The food is horrible! They charge extra for everything, I like my sundae with half strawberries and half chocolate....they charge extra to use half of both to total a whole sundae...what since does that make. They may start checking your pockets for ketchup and napkins any day now. They charge 25 cents for a ranch dip and half the time they "forget" to put it in the bag....I wonder if they teach that in the training class? Pretty poor all around. My medium sundae was the same size as the small that was ordered for the person i was with. It was quite melted and barely topped. When I asked if this was actually a medium and commented on how melted it was, I got a lackluster "sorry" as she was walking away. No receipt issued, so no refund option. Thumbs down. read more
