It's been quite a long time since I was at a formal candy store, so you can imagine my excitement when we found out there was one in Roslyn! We were down in Cle Elum on a meatscapade when we decided then we should grab some sweets. The kids definitely didn't object! This place is a small spot located on a corner in downtown Roslyn. Currently, they're only letting small groups of six or less inside, so you may have to wait outside for a bit. The folks inside got everybody through quickly. They have a moderate selection of some old-school candy, including some really old-school stuff that would get your grandparents excited! It also got some more modern, old stuff like big league chew. Nothing made you feel more alive than shredded I will come design to look like tobacco! A big selling point is the fact that they have Winegars ice cream as well as a number of other funky flavors. One of the kid got pop rocks ice cream, another rocky road, and another a delightful sorbet. They also have some pretty cool antique showcases that housed the candy. You definitely have to watch the kids as their favorite thing while we were there was to lean on the glass case from the 1890s. One of the best things we found were the handmade chocolates that they have that came in a number of different flavors. The rosemary with sea salt, three citrus and lavender were the favorites, no the other four or five options that they had looked very nice. It was pretty cool to be able to get high end chocolates as well as gummy candy in the shape of cheeseburgers from the same place. The prices were good and the selection with solid and fun. Mango sorbet and I did coconut milk to make it completely dairy-free. It was SOOO delicious! I don't know the last time I finished a shake fully. First Time visitor now a long time customer to be. So I Was dining over at THE BRICK yesturday for a Memorial Day lunch and strolled over to The Roslyn Candy Co to check out the candy store. Wow, lots of cool candy I hadn't scene in years. However the multiple flavors of candy sticks warmed my heart. Love those stick candy's and a bargain price also. So I purchased a half dozen for the road home. The cinnamon sticks were my favorite, the watermelon flavoring was my close second. If I wasn't so stuffed from lunch I would have partaken in ice cream. Judging by the smiling faces and huge cones this place serves up happiness. I'll save for another day when I need a pick me up.. But seeing how it was the only ice cream place within a 20 mile radius of the Suncadia resort, it's a decent spot to satisfy your sweet tooth and cool down in the crazy heat. Only 1 family is allowed in at a time, which is great because the interior is EXTREMELY tiny. We got the mint chocolate chip and chocolate ice cream, chocolate was meh but the mint chocolate chip was good. They had some fruity flavors and I think I would try those if we were back at Suncadia. read more

My husband and I randomly stopped in Roslyn coming home from camping at Lake Chelan. Because I am a chocoholic, I HAD to check out Roslyn Candy Company. Roslyn Candy Company is a really cute little shop! They have a candy counter that is 127 years old, and they have all sorts of sweets, even frozen Charleston chews. They also have ice cream at affordable prices! We came in with our group of 15 and they were happy to help us. For such a small space, they had several other people come in while we were being helped, and they served everyone quickly. They also have a shirt and apron display, with local slogans. read more

Ok... we decided to hit up the town and do some exploring. While across the street at a local distillery, our friend took his son to the candy store. After we met up with them, it didn't take much convincing, but they insisted we had some ice cream. First off, how cool is this? A candy/ice cream parlor that used to be a bank! The vault is still there and in use. The candy selection was typical and nothing fancy, but the ice cream!! Oh dear Lord... talk about taste buds on orgasmic overload! The Huckleberry ice cream is unreal! So smooth and creamy, and packed full of berries! Not tart, too sweet, or bland... an absolute symphony in your mouth. The Lavender Salted Caramel was just as divine. They have a very small selection (8-9 flavors) but their waffle cones are made fresh. We loved it so much, we went back the next day, as my friend's son turned 12 that day, and that was his birthday wish, was to come back for more ice cream. We explained that to the staff (same guy as the day before) and he did something totally unexpected but incredibly appreciated... he doubled his age and took that percent off the bill. That's right, he gave us a 24% discount on top of all that! The ice cream is also made by a local family, which delivers the goods to the candy store. What nice folks run this place. We got ice creams for the kids, at a reasonable $2.00 each for kid sizes. The ice cream was good quality. They have lots of different types of candy including some retro types I thought were long gone. We didn't buy any of that though. There is a lot of cute seating outside, with misters in case it's hot, which I didn't notice until I'd left. The only con here really is the limited hours they are open. Closed 2 days a week, closes at 6pm 3 days a week, closes at 8pm 2 days a week. So you have to watch time carefully if you're hoping to get an ice cream cone after dinner. read more

In a small town like Roslyn, if you hunt around enough, you're bound to find some great surprises. Roslyn Candy is one of those. Small spot but the chocolates are absolutely fantastic. The variety of truffles was superb, and they had some special homemade chocolates for Easter, including bunnies, butterflies, and chocolate eggs. The homemade options almost always came with the choice of milk or dark chocolate, and all were colored (right there in the shop) with natural coloring. Definitely worth the stop. We were in the area and decided to stop by this place to have some ice cream. When we got there it was closed. A sign on the door said that they were out for a delivery and were going to be back in 30 minutes and be open until 8pm. We saw from across the street that a person had entered the shop so we decided to give it another shot. When we got there the sign was still up and we we knocked this lady told us that they were close. It was 7:30 and the lady that told us they were close was the same lady that was sitting on a bench talking on her phone from the time we got to Roslyn. It's sad that this company hires people that would rather close a shop just to be on her phone over an hour before regular closing time. Lost a lot of business that day. read more
