    Our half unmixed blizzard
    Sophie C.

I didn't think it was possible to mess up a blizzard, but we ordered a large cotton candy blizzard and the bottom half was not mixed. So I basically ordered half a cup of vanilla soft serve. Also, not sure if this is a new thing across all DQ, but they had a lid on top when they delivered it, which defeats the point of turning it upside down. At least they have a bathroom, but the decor is a bit strange inside,

Stopped here on the way to Vegas for a quick ice cream treat. My go to is a dipped cone, and this location was offering a Churro Dip, so needed to give it a try. It was the best dipped cone I've had in a long while. Stop by this location for a dip that's worth the stop. Plus a clean restroom!

Still eating chocolate sundae and fries.

Showed up at about 9pm, food was delicious and fresh. My kids loved their sundaes. I loved my burger and onion rings.

    Mini is the perfect size!

I had no problems here like other reviewers. We went through the drive through were the 2nd car in line so not much of a wait. Our blizzards were made correctly. They did give me a little bit of a hassle about the yelp check in (10% off) but ultimately they accepted it.

The employees should know that we can see into the kitchen from the drive thru window. With that being said we are camping at calico ghost town (no one is around) we decided to go out for an ice cream treat.... first off the young lady at the window had her mask under her nose and when she talked it fell below her mouth. As we waited and watched we saw the same employee grab fries bare handed and drop them in the fryer (at least grease should help kill off any germs) then she touched some other food bare handed. Came to us grabbed our money then handed us our blizzards. Safe to say we didn't eat our ice cream. If the employee at the window talks to us without covering her face what do you think they are doing when we are not looking? Needless to say we did not eat our treats. I told my husband not to pay and just leave but he felt bad. If I was driving we would've just left

Stopped for a small cone dipped in chocolate and a small blizzard. Our bill was $25. The small dipped cone was $9.

Good food, but not necessarily kept up very well. Right off of the highway is convenient but heavily trafficked.

There is no need for that for the reason that food was ready in a few minutes. I right away noticed the other car just came out of the drive thru and was told the same as well. That lead to our food being opened and handled. There is no need for this to happen Jack n box. It's Barstow and should be easy in and out. Well it was not. I immediately went inside to inform my food was given to the wrong customer and was given immediately an attitude. Manager came out with an attitude as well and made no eye contact, just said "give me your credit card you used" without letting me explain for feedback so this would not be the case. The workers are all not motivated and dropping pans and kicking them around. Shit is nasty and crazy in there how bad it is. I am so glad I did not eat food there with how it's handled. It's easy to find since it sits near the freeway exit and many billboards along the way as road signs. Its gravel paved parking lot is huge. All those cars there were somewhat reassuring. I took the first counter seat I saw while being surprised how small this place is. Only later I found it has 2 large dining areas and a pizza parlor further in. The waitress wore a pink outfit likes those I saw in movies. Some of them seem to have been there for years. Courtney is probably the youngest among them and very friendly. She took my order and gave a glass of water without ice as I requested. Most dishes is named after celebrities of old. My neighbor ordered an omelette which is huge, enough for 2 yet reasonably priced. Peggy Sue also has a dinosaur yard outdoors. Water in the pond and waterfall is green, not sure if it's algae or coloring. Either way, I have no intention get near them. I don't think I'd bring my family here but I might stop in next time on my solo trip to Vegas to try its omelette.

The woman at the front desk was extremely unfriendly with a terrible attitude. We were quoted about a 45 min wait but didn't end up waiting that long, we figured a lot of people didn't want to wait lol. There's a pretty large gift shop inside FILLED with different knick knacks, candies, & ice cream. The staff in the gift shop were a little more friendly than the older woman in the front. In the back, they have a small "diner-saur park" but we didn't go check due to how hot it was outside. Once our buzzer went off finally, the woman at the front began to give my grandma attitude because she thought my grandma said party of 9 when we all clearly heard party of 5. The woman at the front let out a loud audible sigh & told us to wait there while they "checked" if there was a table open for 5. If you had a table for 9 by YOUR OWN mistake, why would you not have it for 5?... We were then taken to our table by an extremely rude man who not only tried to rush our party, but was mad when we w couldn't keep up with his pace. We had our grandparents with us who aren't able to run around a restaurant like he was. We got sat at a table in the back, mind you there was SO MANY empty tables inside, but maybe they didn't have the correct amount of staff present. AC barely worked in the back. Extremely hot and stuffy. It's a little confusing that different people take your drink order and different people take your food order. So you can't ask the food order person where your drinks are cus she didn't take the order... it's confusing. Our server was rude, not surprised. The entire staff besides the drink order girls were rude. Food came out finally, nothing to brag about. Lacked flavor, under cooked fried pickles & undercooked onion rings. We ordered some pies to go which were okay. Overall, our experience here was not the best. The staff really needs a refresher on how to be polite to their guests.

First, and probably the most important, they don't have Diet Pepsi, but Pepsi Zero. And Pepsi Zero is just awful. And yes, I tried it. I admit that I'm a fan of Coke products, but I'll survive on Diet Pepsi, never, but never Pepsi Zero. So that alone makes me not want to come here anymore. This trip, the girl taking our order seemed confused. Maybe she was new? But it didn't help that we had to explain we wanted a bowl of Chili, and even though it's not on the menu, they could sell it. I personally didn't want a burger this time, so I ordered a chicken sandwich, which is basically just chicken tenders on a bun. Not very impressed, but it wasn't as bad as Pepsi Zero. They do get credit for having a "senior" menu, which I ordered from. And I appreciate that they have tater tots. It seemed like a smaller portion, but it was actually perfect for me. I'll keep checking back, but if I see they still only serve Pepsi Zero, I might be walking over the McD's for my drink.

(4.25 STARS)…read more Memorial Day road trips always seem to create the best random discoveries, and Pit Stop Bar & Grill absolutely delivered. Tucked away off Victor Street in Barstow, this was a fun find while driving back to Los Angeles from Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. Big props to Haley M., who was basically running a one-woman show and somehow kept the entire place moving with a great attitude and solid service. That alone made the stop memorable. The location has a cool, laid-back vibe with plenty to keep people entertained while grabbing food and drinks. They've got two billiards tables, a dart board, and all kinds of classic bar games, board games, and card games, including UNO, which is a family favorite. They also have several televisions. The food was all good too. I really enjoyed the Green Chili Burger, and everyone else in my party seemed genuinely happy with their meals as well. I felt they were trying to nickel and dime when I got the bill, i was charged for a side of ranch, a side of BBQ, and had no idea I was being up charged for the onion rings. I didn't say a word, but it hit wrong with me. .75 points deducted. What especially stood out to me, though, was the Memorial Day place setting displayed near the front entrance honoring our veterans and fallen heroes. It was simple, respectful, and genuinely touching. See my picture. That detail said a lot about the heart behind this place. If you're making the Vegas-to-LA drive and want something more memorable than the usual freeway fast-food stop, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great atmosphere, friendly energy, and one of those spots you end up talking about later.
